017 HxH: Tombbound Power
🕑 Added 2024-10-06 10:27:24 +0000 UTCThe same is true of Ronnel's restraint, his condition is to increase the dissipated resentment tenfold.
Nen will naturally amplify the resentment tenfold, but it doesn't concern itself with how Ronnel eliminates it.
The condition merely requires Ronnel to spend time, without specifying how he spends it.
Only the results matter, not the process.
So, strictly speaking, Ronnel's golden finger resembles a small bug within Nen's vast and stringent system.
After all, phenomena like time travel have occurred, so a minor bug is no great issue~~~
Once Ronnel established the restriction and oath, others might not perceive it, but he could clearly sense that the body before him was suddenly enveloped in a potent, resentment-like substance!
The jet-black resentment slowly emerged from his body, visible to the naked eye, and the man's expression became extraordinarily ferocious.
"Have the restrictions and oaths been established?"
Joy flickered in Ronnel's eyes, and a smile appeared on his face.
Such intense resentment would make even the best hunters hesitate to provoke it.
Yet, Ronnel felt no fear, instead, he was eager to engage.
As he approached the corpse, the swirling grievances surged toward him like a shark detecting blood.
However~~~
"Dissipate~"
Ronnel raised his arm and said softly, watching a cloud of white mist emerge from his palm before he gently threw it toward the corpse.
Instantly, the resentment that came into contact with the white mist melted away as quickly as ice and snow under the warming light of spring, vanishing in the blink of an eye.
The corpse's expression relaxed once more, all negative states dispelled.
The white mist descended upon the body, transforming into a large hand that grasped it firmly.
The cloud captured three glowing spheres in its grasp and retracted them into Ronnel's palm.
Three!
This made Ronnel feel exhilarated yet a little reflective.
Indeed, the Heavens Arena, which attracts powerful individuals from all corners, offers a diversity of corpses far superior to the monotonous low-level residents of the streets of Meteor City.
As the three light spheres dissipated, they revealed their contents.
"Subai Flowing Fist Technique, Intermediate Level"
"Subai Flowing Leg Technique, Intermediate"
"Martial Arts Talent, Intermediate Level"
Gazing at the two blue skill books resting quietly in his palm, along with one skill book radiating a special glow, Ronnel was overjoyed.
These boxing and kicking skills with genres and heritage categories were significantly more advanced than the rudimentary street fighting skills and the basic palm techniques found on the streets of Meteor City.
It was just what Ronnel needed, as he had no effective combat techniques at his disposal. The intermediate-level Subai Flowing Fist Technique and kicking skills could serve as his fighting techniques.
As for the final martial arts talent, it was an unexpected bonus.
Items and skills can be found from corpses, but talents are among the rarest of special skills.
According to the game, the Subai Flowing Fist Technique is considered an active skill, while the talent class is regarded as a passive skill.
On the streets of Meteor City, Ronnel had developed various active skills, such as lying, acting, and lockpicking, but talents were scarce.
Since beginning his explorations on the streets of Meteor City, Ronnel had only uncovered four talents beneficial to him.
Elementary Martial Arts Talent, Elementary Strength Talent, Intermediate Speed Talent.
The reason Ronnel had made such rapid progress in Nen and achieved remarkable strength in just a few months was directly tied to his elementary martial arts talent.
This demonstrated the rarity and immense power of talent skills.
Having experienced the effects of talent firsthand, Ronnel formed some hypotheses about the four levels of martial arts talent.
Elementary martial arts talents might be akin to Zushi, emerging in one out of a hundred thousand people.
Intermediate talents could manifest in one out of a million, while advanced talents, like those of Gon and Killua, might appear in one out of tens of millions.
As for perfect-level talents, they likely exist at a rarity of hundreds of millions.
How could Ronnel not be thrilled to obtain an intermediate martial arts talent now?
After slapping all three skill books against his forehead and absorbing them, Ronnel's eyes began to shine as he surveyed the various corpses lying in the room.
To him, these corpses were like a potent elixir for cultivators seeking to enhance their strength!
Boom!
Ronnel closed the door to the morgue, a smile of excitement on his face.
"Let's get started, constraints..."
...…
The night passed without incident.
The next day, in a hotel room somewhere in the Heavens Arena.
"Um?"
Shizuku, who had been resting on the bed, opened her eyes instantly upon sensing the presence of another person in the air.
"You're back~"
Seeing who had entered, Shizuku's tense posture relaxed quickly. She yawned sleepily.
"Well, I'm back."
Ronnel smiled, an extra bag in his hand.
"I brought back breakfast. It's the most famous steamed stuffed bun with fringed crab and crab roe from around here. It tastes amazing."
"Yeah?"
Upon hearing this, Shizuku adjusted her black-rimmed glasses and noticed that Ronnel seemed different from before.
His body still appeared normal, but he seemed a bit taller and more robust.
