127 HxH: Tombbound Power
🕑 Added 2024-10-17 06:13:27 +0000 UTCWith Ronnel joining the mission, armed with his unique Nen abilities and formidable strength, this trip to Cemetery was as good as secured.
"Amethyst Grape Crystal~?"
After going through the introductory notes, Ronnel raised an eyebrow at the description.
"'Amethyst grape crystal,' a rare gem that, when consumed, rejuvenates the skin—leaving it soft, fair, and radiant. A first-class product in skincare!"
"So... you're saying this would work for me and Shizuku?" Ronnel's expression shifted to deadpan, eyes heavy with skepticism.
"It wouldn't hurt. But unlike you and Shizuku, my skin's flawless already," Biski replied with a smirk. "I don't need any whitening."
Ronnel scrolled further down the page.
"There's more," he muttered. "Apparently, the crystal reaches peak beauty when it reflects the light of both sunrise and sunset, making it one of the 'Seven Beauties of the World.'"
The idea caught Ronnel's attention. He had a particular fondness for these moments of the day—when night surrendered to dawn, and dusk melted into darkness.
"If you pick the amethyst grape crystal precisely during those moments," the note added, "its beauty will remain eternal."
"Like the Kurta Clan's Scarlet Eyes," Ronnel murmured, a flicker of unease passing through him. "Their eyes flash with unmatched brilliance, but only in death does that beauty last forever."
The allure of the crystal had captivated him, and Shizuku, standing beside him, was equally entranced by the mention of its skincare properties.
Seeing the longing in their faces, Bisky clapped her hands together.
"Great! Then let's head out now!"
"Now?!" Ronnel groaned. "I just finished the exam. Can't I at least rest for a bit?"
"Nope!" Bisky said with a grin. "We'll rest along the way. If we don't move quickly, other Hunters will grab it first."
Ronnel sighed, shoulders slumping in defeat. "You're really something else, Master..."
Bisky beamed. "Naturally."
A Dark Mission in the Kakin Empire
"The cemetery, huh?" Ronnel mused as they packed their things. "I was wondering where I could gather some 'dead air' and corpse poison. This place sounds perfect."
Bisky gave him a playful swat. "You and your creepy hobbies."
Ronnel chuckled, eyes glittering with mischief.
The trio—Ronnel, Shizuku, and Bisky—boarded an airship bound for the Azian Continent. A relic of ancient wars fought over a century ago, carried a reputation both as a haunted site and a tourist destination.
The local tourism bureau had even turned some of the surrounding areas into attractions. Visitors could gawk at old battlegrounds—and, as ridiculous as it seemed, even the gates of the Zoldyck family estate were now part of the tour circuit.
"People really are insane," Ronnel muttered. "Risking their lives just for the thrill of it."
The airship descended near a small town on the outskirts of the cemetery. The place was already overcrowded with adventurers hoping to get their hands on the amethyst grape crystal. Hotels were packed, and the streets buzzed with tension.
Chaos on the Streets
"This is madness," Bisky muttered, rising on her toes to peer over the crowd. "But at least it means no one has found the crystal yet. Otherwise, they'd be gone by now."
Ronnel scanned the people around them, eyes sharp and alert. Most of the Nen users here posed no threat—they were little more than second-rate Hunters, barely comparable to a Floor Master of Heavens Arena.
Just as Ronnel was about to turn away, a commotion broke out.
"Move! Clear the way!"
A group of men in black suits pushed through the crowd. Each wore sunglasses, exuding an air of menace, their Nen flaring in warning. At the center of the group was a pale young man, his posture languid and indulgent.
"Hey! Watch where you're going!" someone shouted after being shoved aside.
His companion grabbed his arm in alarm. "Are you crazy? That's the youngest son of a high-ranking official from V5!"
At the mention of V5—a coalition of powerful nations—the man backed down instantly, swallowing his anger.
"They're here for the crystal too," Bisky observed, her expression neutral. "I've seen worse from these types during my years as a Hunter. When V5 first came into power, they were even more reckless."
Though V5 had toned down their antics over the years, the arrogance ingrained in their elites remained undeniable.
Ronnel watched the scene unfold without much interest. The arrival of V5 officials only complicated matters, but it wasn't his concern for now. They needed to find a place to stay before worrying about anything else.
"Come on," Bisky said. "No use standing around."
Ronnel gave the group of bodyguards one last glance before following her and Shizuku. In the world of Hunters, disputes were settled with strength—and here, strength was the only thing that mattered.
A Town on Edge
The longer they searched, the clearer it became—every inn and guesthouse in town was full. Adventurers of all kinds, from thrill-seekers to seasoned Hunters, crowded the streets.
"There's no place to stay!" Ronnel grumbled.
"Yeah, seems like some are already staking their claim with brute force," Bisky said, watching a group of Nen users muscle their way into a tavern.
It was a chaotic town filled with clashing egos, and tensions were running high. More than one fistfight had broken out in the street as arrogant Hunters tried to prove their dominance.
But Ronnel stayed calm. He had no intention of getting involved in petty squabbles. His focus remained on the mission—and the amethyst grape crystal waiting for them deep inside Cruz Cemetery.
"Let them fight it out," he muttered. "In the end, it'll come down to whoever's strongest."
Bisky gave him an approving nod. "Now you're thinking like a real Hunter."
