🕑 Added 2024-10-06 10:56:28 +0000 UTCOn the day of the match, the venue was packed, as expected. Every screen in Heavens Arena broadcasting the event also had crowds gathered around it.
The spectators were divided into two factions—those supporting Sparka and those cheering for Ronnel. Before the match even began, the atmosphere was already thick with tension.
For this important match, the commentator had been preparing for days, fine-tuning her skills and mentally preparing for any outcome. She was determined that her commentary would be flawless, explaining the intricacies of the fight to everyone watching at Heavens Arena.
"Thank you all for your patience!"
The commentator injected an unprecedented level of excitement into her voice.
"Let's welcome the 'Holy Gun Knight,' the reigning champion of the last Battle Olympia, and the Floor Master of the 251st floor—Sparka!"
As soon as her words fell, Sparka, tall and lean with striking blonde hair, strode onto the stage. His appearance alone ignited half the crowd into wild cheers.
With his tall, muscular frame and battle-hardened demeanor, paired with a rugged yet handsome face and enviable hair, Spark had the kind of charisma that made fans swoon.
Sparka was no newcomer to Heavens Arena, and his loyal audience erupted in applause.
Realizing that the crowd might get too carried away, the commentator quickly asked for calm before introducing the next fighter.
"And now, let's welcome Ronnel!"
Ronnel stepped onto the ring from the opposite side, his expression calm and composed.
"I know you wield a saber," Sparka said with a cool demeanor, eyeing Ronnel's empty hands. He then retrieved a pair of stainless steel gloves from his pocket.
"It seems everything is under control."
"I watched your battle with Thatcher. When you manifested that saber, it completely threw him off. He couldn't handle it and got cut down because of it. Pathetic, really."
Sparka started putting on his gloves, continuing to badmouth Thatcher, but Ronnel only listened, a faint trace of irony in his eyes.
So, he's just another arrogant fool.
Unaware of Ronnel's thoughts, Sparka continued his monologue:
"If I'm correct, you're a Manipulator, right? And your Nen ability revolves around that saber of yours. Fast, good at quick strikes, but you lack stamina. All I need to do is prolong the fight, and you'll fall."
Having finished putting on his gloves, Sparka shook his hands confidently.
"So, this match is already mine~!!!"
The audience cheered wildly, feeding Sparka's ego.
"Really now..."
Ronnel couldn't help but find the situation almost laughable. Sparka's arrogance had clearly blinded him to reality.
Sparka was just another fighter who had spent too much time basking in the praise of others at Heavens Arena. He had talent, sure, but he had become far too complacent, especially after winning the last Battle Olympia. His inflated ego had made him believe he was invincible.
"Let the match begin!!"
With the commentator's announcement, the match officially started.
Sparka, who had been preparing all along, wasted no time. He stomped his foot hard, sending shockwaves through the stone floor. The tiles around his feet shattered and were launched into the air.
"Bang bang!"
With two powerful punches, Sparka shattered the stone slabs further, sending a barrage of debris flying towards Ronnel.
"Hah! With this rain of stones, your speed is sealed off! There's no escape now—this match is already decided!"
Sparka's voice boomed across the arena as he declared his impending victory. His stone barrage technique, imbued with Nen, was something he had perfected against speed-type fighters. It was a tried-and-true strategy, or so he thought.
"You idiot, do you really think something like that can stop Ronnel?"
In the audience, Bisky's eye twitched as she listened to the gasps and cheers of the crowd. She was unimpressed.
"Hahaha, or maybe Sparka has some other tricks?" Wing chuckled, though even he wasn't convinced by his own words.
Ronnel wasn't the only one who could see through Sparka's self-importance. With years of experience under their belts, Bisky and Wing could tell he was all bark and no bite. Sparka had strength, but that was about it. Everything else? Not even worth commenting on.
