RE4 Randomizer - October 13, 2025 update

It's finally here: the new patch with the Door rando, and some other nice things added, including "Assignment Leon" mode, an optional side quest where you have to collect the 5 plaga samples and defeat Krauser to beat the game.
The interface itself has been improved too, with bigger fonts and also new language options (English, Italian and Spanish available at the moment)
It's also included the "Knife parry" as seen in other re4 mods (credits to Qingsheng and those involved in its implementation).

The rando was updated (October 13th) to correct:
- The doors that were not leading to the intended locations.
- The ratio for the healing item drops.
- Some crashes caused by bad enemy spawns (as in Gigante boss fight).
There are also other changes made to the enemy rando as an attempt to fix the crashing some people had in other places. With this change, certain enemies won't be seen in the same seed together (as an example, Iron maidens and Regenerators, or Verdugo and Mendez). Hopefully this helps make the game being more stable.

Hello, you can check if x3daudio1_7.dll is in Bin32 folder of your game. Sometimes Malwarebytes or some other antivirus will delete it. If it's missing, you can get it from the randomizer zip file then try again. Let me know if it worked.

looks like when i start the seed, as soon as i try moving with my keyboard or controller the game instantly crashes.

Hi You can check first if the rando files were extracted in the intended folder (as shown in the guide) If that's good then the easiest way to fix this is to copy this file manually once. If you are using HD project mod, then the 0f000001 file needed is in RE4_PC_Randomizer\Tools\HDProjectTextures folder. If not using HD mod then the .pack file is in RE4_PC_Randomizer\Tools folder. Copy the file to the "Resident Evil 4\BIO4\ImagePackHD" folder, then try generating again.

Hey duke it keeps saying could not find a part of the path the imagepackhd/0f000001.pack.ifs when i try and generate seed how do i fix this?

The November patch is ready and about to be uploaded in a couple hours. The prices for the weapon upgrades will be implemented for another time (couldn't do it yet) I'm also thinking of other ways/options to control the balance. For now, I set it so chickens and crows won't drop items/treasure anymore to help with that. Eventually there will be also options to control which of these drop items and which not.

If you finished your run and want to try another one, open the program then generate a new seed clicking the button. It's not necessary to delete or check files manually.

this might be an easy answer but i'll ask anyway. but if i want to clear the seed i have and restart. can i delete the folder with the current seed and generate a new one. i dont wanna delete the seed if it will mess up anything in the folder.

Do you know when you might have the weapon upgrade price be able to be changed? Only asking because the amount of treasure and gold I find is crazy sometimes (I was playing the door rando with random items so that could be why too. Also are you thinking of adding more customizable lists for item/treasure drops? Btw I love that you are continuing to update this mod thankyou so much for all the fun!
