So, I was kinda unsure about this page too — I had another idea in mind, but it would've taken too long. I chose to go with this version to keep things a bit mysterious.

It’s something to think about — is everything he’s seeing really happening, or is it all in his head? That’s what I would ask myself. Watching your body change, feeling an uncontrollable tension, and now seeing what is technically a 'ghost' or 'spirit of the forest'... it would make anyone question their sanity.

Yeah, "What the hell is this?" Is definitely the right response to what he is seeing right now. Both to his dramatic transformation, and to seeing a wood sprite riding a boar.
