EARLY VIDEO! RE4 REMAKE - NITRO RAD
🕑 Added 2023-04-03 23:26:24 +0000 UTCYOYOYOYOYOYOOOOO it's time for another unscripted ramble about a AAA horror game! The RE4 remake got me pourin out all sorts of excited thoughts and opinions.
Here it is a day early for patrons. Lemme know what you think, and of course let me know if you spot any editing errors. That's always a huge help! (P sure there's none in this, but you never know lol)

I enjoyed the ramble! I think you may have slightly undersold how much of the level design was re-worked/cut for the remake. And I might have missed it, but did you mention the ability to switch weapons with the d-pad? That was such a massive quality of life change in my opinion. Drastically reduces the amount of time you spend in the inventory during action sequences. The knife system is an awesome addition and really reduces the dominant strategy of the OG of shooting enemies in the face, melee attack, and then knife them to death on the ground. The difficulty also feels significantly ramped up. Even normal difficulty kicked my ass on my first playthrough and I usually play the original on professional difficulty. Overall, extremely happy with the remake! I'm glad they actually decided to do a proper remake of the original game, rather than just update the graphics. Would have been very easy for Capcom to get away with that given RE4 is one of the highest-rated games of all time. Really hoping Mercenaries mode is at least as fleshed out as it was in the original release.
