Hey, adventurers! I’m thrilled to bring you a new adventure-ready map that’s packed with mystery, danger, and a dash of magic! The Dragon Burial Mound battle map has everything your next high-stakes session needs.
At the heart of the map lies a massive burial mound, filled with the bones of a long-forgotten dragon. This ancient grave is no ordinary resting place, though—three soul gem traps guard the mound, pulsing with magical energy and ready to zap anyone brave (or foolish) enough to get too close!
But that’s not all. The burial site is tucked away in a vibrant, overgrown forest. There’s lush greenery, towering trees, and patches of long grass perfect for sneaky ambushes or hiding from prowling threats. And, in a strange contrast to the ominous feel, glowing butterflies flutter around, giving the scene a beautiful yet eerie charm.
This map is perfect for all kinds of adventures—whether your party is on a quest to uncover ancient treasures, battling a guardian beast, or perhaps... awaking something far worse hidden beneath the earth. It’s a setting that can be anything from a peaceful exploration zone to a deadly battlefield.
And here’s the best part—besides the typical grid and gridless, day and night variations, I’ve created some exciting fog variations to add more atmosphere! Plus, there are multiple versions of this map to suit any campaign:
One where the burial mound is dug up, revealing the dragon bones
Another where the mound is completely empty
A version with an altar replacing the burial mound
And one with roads and a roadside shrine to change the setting entirely!
