Bloodborne Kart dev update 2023/1/22
🕑 Added 2023-01-22 22:23:44 +0000 UTCDoing more sewer circuit work for today's Bloodborne Kart dev post! Today I'm focusing on the 90 degree corners, which this track will primarily have to make it stand out. The inside turns on the raised paths are the most efficient way to go, so I put in a broken shortcut that cuts the corner but is riskier as there are no guard rails after, meaning that racers can fall off into the lower path if they aren't careful.
I also made a ramp that racers can use to get to the higher paths; they can even do a small hop over the edge to save even more time!
And finally, I made boost 'transfer' pads that let racers jump from one raised path to the other. This means that skilled players will stay on the narrower raised path to hit the inside corners. That being said, there are more enemies on the lower path (which raise the racers top speed when killed), so there's incentive to stay down there.
