You mentioned that Ozzy Osborn was "kind of playing himself." That reminds me of a line from a review of this game that stuck with me. It went something like, "Metal stars aren't necessarily the best actors, but this game doesn't ask them to be actors, it just asks them to be themselves, and it works."

Patreon is just weird like that sometimes. Refreshing the page usually fixes it, but the player will NOT remember how far into the video you were, so you'll have to manually scroll back to where you left off.

I assume Def Leppard intentionally modeled their name after Led Zeppelin. They are very similar. At least you had the Presence to realize it later though.

My silly brain is ALWAYS flipping these two particular bands' names for some stupid reason. Similar stressed syllables, maybe? Regardless, YES, Rock of Ages is definitely a Def Leppard song XD

Only wish games had an option of removing or changing the sound of an alarm, because that alarm at 21:00 sounds too much like air raid sirens that I've been hearing for the last 3 years and that triggers my PTSD (I'm a Ukrainian)

The sound track should be available on YouTube if you ever just want to listen to several hours of Metal from classic to more recent (or at least recent as of the time of the game's release in 2009)

Indeed, glad Dan mentioned it early enough. 24:30 - 24:55. Tim Schafer had a desire to create an RTS game around Heavy Metal bands fighting over crowds on stage battles. However that alone wasn't getting investors interested, so to get backing he crafted up the rest of the game, the open world, the racing, all the fun stuff. As Dan mentioend "it didn't do it any favors" is a bit of an understatment and after a while some folk felt it was a kind of a rug pull. Tim learned his lesson and should have been more up front about what the game would actually be about. The Narrator of the Legend backstory lore tid bits is Corey Burton, who has done various roles for Disney including Professor Ludwig von Drake and Dale. He also does Cad Bane in Star Wars properties and Yen Sid for Kingdom Hearts. "Mittens" was voiced by David Sobolov, who has various video game credentials under his belt such as Gorilla Grodd and Drax.

As a pretty big fan of metal I'm absolutely loving this game. I'm excited to see how my personal subgenre of choice is portrayed.

Love the running gag of the play frame logo changing for a joke, I wonder how hard is for carrie to do that bit (time well spent I'd say)

If the Bonus Playthroughs can self-replicate, surely we can find a way for Dan to as well. Twice the uploads and the addition of a 4th member for Battle of the Dans...or we'd just get more BotD with only one Dan. Hypotheticals aside, happy to see more METAL!

It does seem like Pyre and Windwaker were neck and neck, so it'd probably be appreciated to use one for the next playthrough and one for the bonus. But, I don't want to take the joy away from the new patrons of submitting and voting. =)
