Which one-offs should become full playthroughs?
🕑 Added 2023-08-27 16:39:05 +0000 UTC(Sorry about the double-post, I had the settings on the first poll wrong! Should be fixed now.)
It's time for a survey! We've dipped into a lot of neat games as one-offs over the last couple years, many of which I could see returning to eventually. But I'm curious to know which of these games you folks would be most excited to see become full playthroughs someday.
A couple things to note:
- This is not an official vote for the next playthrough, but it will definitely inform my decisions around what to play in the coming months.
- You can select as many of these as you want!

Hey this poll is still going! cool!

Thanks for the recommendation!

I know this is an older post, but i'd love to see you play nine sols! its a sekiro-inspired souls-like metroidvania, and its really cool!
Dan Boger
Just occurred to me, might be really fun to see you go though subnautica!

This poll is from last August...
Yu Baka
You already did a playthrough of Hi-Fi Rush though.
Benjamin Siegfried
This feels like the place to say it Pseudoregalia, Not for the main channel, but for the ANIMATION channel.
weesh
are these just games that got one-shots? can't tell if we shoudl be hoping for "ratchet and clank: rift apart" from you or not.
Friendly Neighbourhood Joe
Kind of a shame to see Stray is potentially winning this. It's not bad persay but I found it to be woefully short and unsatisfying. Hope Dan has a better time with it than I did if it pulls ahead!

I wish The Messenger would get more love - the gameplay, humor, and [redacted] are all so much fun.

I loved Potionomics to death, but it's uh... 60 hours long and most of it is spent just looking at potion screens. Not sure that it's YouTube material despite being a great game. Respect for Little King's Story being on there though. Is Zak and Wiki too much of a throwback if we're doing Wii games?
Annie
Death's Door! It's such a hidden gem. I'm genuinely surprised there wasn't more buzz about it when it first came out. I'd love to see a full playthrough of that on this channel! Also voting Little King's Story because I'll never play it myself, but my GOODNESS it looks adorable.
Trevor Chart
Your one-off of death's door turned me onto it and I love the game! Definitely play the rest even if you don't do it on video
M Yen
Okay it took getting on PC but my votes are in, finally!
Seth Jones
...Floyd? What a small world.
Benjamin Siegfried
Honestly, all of them were so good, it's hard to pick just my favorites.
Jessica Cheeri
If it's Superliminal, you definitely need to talk to the dev Christopher Floyd, he's a cool person
Merry
agree! we need more Carrie!
Elliott Mason
Carrie needs to play Stray and Dredge with you!

Pikmin 4 is also really great, the beginning is just a bit tutorial heavy

Upon reading this post before even seeing the options: WHERE IS HI FI RUSH?
Dion Terell-Scott Johnson
Oh yeah, definitely going all in with Hi-fi Rush.
Just Ember
I had to refresh between each pick for it to save my multiple votes. Might be a bug with the sight as Dan said
Darrel Ross
I’m rooting for Tinykin even if it’s probably not going to win. I bought it immediately after watching Dan’s stream and it was an absolute delight from start to finish. The soundtrack is also excellent!
The Furies
Superliminal does some really cool things as it continues, so I'd love to see more of that.
lightningspiral
Hi-Fi Rush was one of those one-off videos that I kept going back to because it was so fun in Playframe form.
Marnix
Superliminal and Axiom Verge would please me the most to see :D Both excellent games in their own right. Pikmin 4 is also fine.
Steve Jakab
Stray first, 'cause that's just a week's worth of episodes. Then a longer game.
Erica Clawson
for me it's none of the above. i'm happy with these games specifically staying one-offs.
David Armstrong
Hey everyone, you should be able to vote on more than one. Select as many as you like!
Ciary
Aww only one vote? Ok. I'm sorry stray.
M Yen
Probably my really crappy connection, I'll try again tonight
Ignacio Segura Montero
So sad to see so few votes for Potionomics. It feels like such a great fit overall for the channel.
PlayFrame
Yeah, it's definitely set to Allow Multiple Choices on my end, so I'm guessing a bug with the site?
Psytrese
This really is an "all of the above" preferred selection. Wish you could get around to them all.
JoyceW-Art
So many great games to choose from! I would love to see multiple of these!
Nara Van Rossum
Deaths door, great to finish, a pain to complete. If it ends up winning, maybe get someone to check on the locations/solutions for the puzzles, especially those that involve clue to a location in an area. Since the camera is so zoomed in and wandering through old areas is not fun, that section might need a second hint or two to narrow the searches.
Culade
Stray needs a Dan and Carrie playthrough and Death's Door needs a regular playthrough. Still hoping for a Sexy Brutale one-off or playthrough eventually.
John Mcmurray
Little King's Story would be a close second along with Potionomics and Hi fi rush vying for third (Also shout out to Chibi Robo! ;P) but Stray definitely feels like a must play for Playframe.
Emma Laslett
I can only select one :(
Culade
I had to select the survey at the bottom to get multiple choice to work.
Sadie the Human
My phone is not cooperating with the multiple choice so I'll just say: I'd love to see potionomics the most, but also stray, deaths door, and hi-fi rush seem super fun
Jochem Kuijpers
I have to choose Hi-Fi Rush here, but Stray is a very very close second.
M Yen
Yeah that's what I was getting
Sadie the Human
I only seem to be able to choose one. I can change my choice, but if I do, the total of my previous choice goes down by one so I know I'm not being counted as selecting both
Mikkel Juel Gregersen
Multiple choice works for me.
Chris J.
I very want to see Dan play Hi-Fi Rush just because a rhythm game with beautiful art/animation seems targeted at him specifically XD
M Yen
I currently have *very* poor service but I seem to be running into the same issue? Can someone confirm if this one is working as intended, and that it's just my connection?
Startracings
Tinykin may not stand much of a chance but I stand by the fact that game was really enjoyable. Definitely one of my favorite Dansday-effect purchases I've made and I think it's a good game if you want a bite sized filler. It's not all that long in the grand scheme and extremely fun to navigate.
Flusterfluff
Gonna copy/paste my comment from the first iteration of this poll, though now you can ignore the bit about only choosing one option! I can only choose one in the poll. but I think Ender Lilies would be a greater long-form game for the channel. Really interested in Stray, too! Have a Nice Death was neat, and I wouldn't mind more of that, and my partner seems really fond of Little King's Story. The only thing I'm not super keen on seeing a full playthrough of is Dredge. I've finished the game after seeing the one-off, and I'm not sure it'd be a great tonal fit for the channel. That, and there's not much that would actually make for exciting recording material. It's a great game and I loved playing it, but I don't think it'd make a great playthrough.
