At this stage support will be going towards finalizing the, 'Knight' character concept and his mount, then having his 3d model created. Also will be looking for 3d environment artists for the next phase.
Speaking of the, 'Knight', I'd like some input on which helmet direction you like best! (See image and poll.)

But does anyone realize how gnarly A,B&C will look when the visors come down

It is worth paying attention not only to how windy/arid the planet is, but also to the ambient temperature, the weather in general, the temperature difference between day and night, if any, the change of seasons, etc. Then again, if this is a hot, arid planet with storms a la Dune, where is the eye protection? Who will walk in thick overalls and iron armor under the scorching sun? All soldiers would rather faint from heatstroke than face the enemy. If this is the future, then why do they look like this is the Middle Ages? Ok, if this is a reference, then look at the crusades, how the knights were dressed. Again, if this is a future and a sandy planet, what's the problem with making lightweight coveralls and breathing/filtration systems, even the most primitive, just thick masks for filtering dust during sandstorms or those used in industrial airbrushing/graffiti artists and wide "tactical glasses" for eye protection. Technical backwardness? Ok, in this case, for protection and thermoregulation, you need a lot of light multi-layered fabric, as the Bedouins do in deserts, etc. At the same time, I would not want to see projects that are secondary, and filled with references to already existing fantasy universes or some familiar images from the real world, like Astartes, Dune or special forces such as SWAT, Crusades, etc. at the same time, it may be worth taking the most realistic elements from this and using it to develop your own unique concept, something that has not yet existed. Of the options presented, I would not choose a single one, but the most suitable option is C and, to a lesser extent, option A.

Some sandy planet and helmets without windsheilds? Definitly A
Car
I agree. For me I think B gives us the chance to see lots of emotions channeled
Staccato
Looks like I voted for the least popular one: B. I find it's a good display of cyber medieval style. That helmet could feature some kind of energy shield to both protect the face and offer optimal visibility. Maybe combined with some kind of holo HUD..
KingCraigers
A, C, and E are all very solid imo. Such a hard choice but A takes it. Maybe take the back half of A, but the front of C?
Brian Walczak
A is really nice for the Helmet, but I really like the exposed face.
ninjapotatos
A defiantly holds a commanding presence. The taller helmets reminded me of a footmen role, while b and c look more defensive in nature. Is there a chance that the other variants will pop up elsewhere?
Hellscream
Is this separate from the Warhammer universe?
Scott
Really hard to choose. They all look sick
Xavius Night
I like the faceguard of C with the neck protection of A's helm. Also, these *would* be actual helms, not helmets - they cover all the way to the neck, after all.
William O'Driscoll
If i could choose the helmet of e with the face mask of a, that'd be my choice. I don't like the balaclava style thing but do like the somewhat unusual cone helmet.
Noah Catan
Really liking D!
Curious Cat
A, C and E look cool, all three of them. However, the character doesn't seem to be someone noble, so the simplicity of the E helmet feels more appropriate.
Carl Gridley
D, because it channels Roman Legionary / early mounted knight. It looks cooler IMO.. and this is art, so form over imaginary function maybe applies :-) As a nod to practicality, it could have a Magic Visor TM that pops out from somewhere when the plot demands it.
Kinzuko97
I'm going with C.
Logan Rudie
Really like A, but I've always been fond of Salet style helmets.
LudicrousCupcake
A or C makes the most sense to me. Maybe with differing face protections? I got the sense from your teaser that sandstorms or the like might be common, so instances that includes eye protection would probably be common?
Justus Baldin
Itβs A over C for me. The neck protection looks great
Tim
Big fan of A, though all are certainly neat.
RenΓ©
A or C. If you have such an extensive suit of armour, I would think it illogical not to protect the face. I just feel like carrying ~40 pounds of armour, when a fist to the face can knock you out, doesnΒ΄t sound too much like a good deal. Also if you look at medieval armour, as soon as the people were more heavily armoured, the helmet was closed and protected the face as well.

I'm liking C and E
Jay
D and A do it for me.

For sure, makes sense (spoilers)! If synthetic and there is the appearance of white 'hair' that indicates a possible reference to an animal? Maybe an animal of the distant past? Or from a previous world? Lots to explore!!!
Astartes
Synthetic, not much life left on this particular planet...The coat is definitely an identifier for their class/role. As a rank indicator amongst themselves...hm an idea worth exploring :) More backstory coming! But as you might expect from me, spoilers are left for the finished video :)
joshua hampton
Chose A, more for personal preference than lore or backstory. As we don't know much yet π. But I figured if its a futuristic/knight it has the more potential for being a heads up display or environmental suite.
Porfirio
E is for the Emperor, E for they resemble the banana boys, E gives you Golden gravitas, I rate it E for Everyone
Lancelott
Would be interested in hearing more of the backstory (sorry if you already shared) but looks like there is a lot of environmental protection needed in this world. I love the coat, where did they get it from? Is it a native animal or synthetic? Are there ways to determine their 'rank' based on the coat?
