An update, state of morti and the future
🕑 Added 2019-05-06 17:26:24 +0000 UTCSo some of you may know I have been interested in moving upward from source filmmaker for a while now. SFM software is limited in what it can achieve, but boy is it easy to use. Making the leap to cinema 4d has and is continuing to be difficult but I am making progress.
Tektah is helping me to get to grips with cinema 4d, but I've also developed an interest for Unity and VR. After some consideration, I decided that I want to make a Unity VR Game, but this is not the end of me making animations. I will be creating the animations in Cinema 4d so that I can export them into Unity. Doing this can hit two birds with one stone, one render for the non-vr people, another for those with vr.

I am still going to be using SFM for some commissions I still have to finish.
If this is a deal breaker for some of you guys I completely understand. I would just like to thank you for your support and encouragement.

VR is still really fricking expensive for most users, but it's definitely the future. I'm excited to see what new stuff you can cook up :)

Yes, future updates will be moved over to mortVR next month. I will likely be discontinuing the 5$ VR tier here as I don't think I will be rendering out the static angles I used to with SFM. C4D rendering out 4K VR would take forever, whereas porting it over to unity takes little to no time and allows freedom of movementr

Well, VR equipment definitely isn't in the near future for me but I'm still curious to see how this game comes along. The move you're making from SFM to Cinema 4D is definitely not a deal breaker for me. The software is better, that's the bottom line. I'm confident you'll master it and give us the best 3D WoW futa content on the goddamn internet! It's really cool that Tektah is helping you out btw, I love his work!

Just for clarification is all VR content going to be migrated over to the new MortiVR Patreon. or will it be available on both at least for a limited amount of time? I would imagine you would need to adjust Patreon tiers since the $5.00 one only adds VR renders.

Hey go for it! This will make more demand for VR and will help drive the cost down, in theory anyway. and hey, a lot of tech is uplifted by smut. I'd be doing what you do but I don't have the patience.
