A great movie that shows the damage caused by war. It goes way beyond the battlefield.

Kyndu

"Kick Ass"

Lejendery One

I can’t find it😡

Jim

Excellent choice. This movie rips your heart out. Try Platoon if you haven't seen it.

Violet

Cameron

Nathan

Hoping for that triple sunny drop today!!

Anti(Adam)

@Hash thats kinda true now that you mention it. He used to try to ride the hype wave of shows, not so much any more

The Joy

MISS-S

HashKetchum

“Shows coming tomorrow” two days ago lmao

Thank you. When writing this post, I knew about some of the surface level stuff but reading information like Pacino taking him to cancer treatments hit me a bit in the feels.

I went to a drive-in to see this movie w/my parents. Incredible film…mind blowing. Did you all see the very young Meryl Streep?

SpicyRikers

You Picked Yet another Movie I've been meaning to watch, and yes, for the same reason as you 😂 I saw Christopher Walken and DeNiro And thought "Well its gotta be good"😂

Chris Mosley

HOT ROD!

HashKetchum

He don’t care to do anything while it’s trending and beneficial for his channel anymore lol. We’ll probably get it late this year, if that.

Al Koholic

Invincible please you seen season 1 there is 2 more new seasons out

s8150f

This is absolutely a classic.

Kluneberg

the victim forgave him so it really unforgivable?

Nicolas Poutoire

They made a reference to that Russian roulette game at the end in Sunny. When they walked downstairs and Frank is running it

Nicolas Poutoire

After the first 15 minutes of this, you should watch Jersey Boys, the Frankey Valley movie

Chaos T

I get what you're saying about the wedding scene being long but the scene was probably necessary to set up everything following it in the film. IRL, even when the Vietnam conflict revealed itself to be really messed up even by USA standards in the late 60's, there were still a lot of people in some close-knit communities that believed sending youth to fight in war was a virtue to be upheld.

Chaos T

@Psy mama yeah... Polanski is a genius director but it's very difficult to recommend his films because of who he is. That a-hole committed an unforgivable crime. He's a great example of trying to separate the art from the artist. To me, his best film is "The Pianist". Adrien Brody rightfully earned his first Academy Award for Best Actor as it was one of the best acting performances I've ever seen. But holy hell.....why did Polianski have to direct that masterpiece?! I hate that shitbag randomly releases films reminding people he's a great director.

Psy mama

Leo PLEASE go back to Star Trek the original show PLEASEEEEE. It is a symbol of the America that could have been 😭

Psy mama

EXCELLENT SUGGESTION wow never occured to me, what a fantastic movie. For that matter, other early Polanski films: Rosemary's Baby, Repulsion, The Tenant is one of the creepiest films I ever saw in my life. OH GOD, Polanski was a sexual predator, I always forget this F*** can't we have anything just pure

Psy mama

Leo the Vietnam nightmare films are all so good, and yet in this current political climate I can't i just can't. The Russian Roulette scene, I can't I can't, so horrible.

Chaos T

This would be the last film for the actor who played Stan. John Cazale's story is really sad. The studio who produced "The Deer Hunter" initially didn't want to cast John in the role because he was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer the same year filming took place. However, his girlfriend at the time Meryl Streep (who played Linda in the film) and director Michael Cimino threatened to walk out on the project if Cazale wasn't included in the film. He also had backing from industry heavyweights at the time including Al Pacino who would accompany him when he was going through cancer treatments and fellow co-star Robert De Niro paid for Cazale's health insurance while he was going through treatment. John was essentially on his deathbed when filming started for "The Deer Hunter" and all of Cazale's scenes were filmed first. A month or so after his scenes were filmed, he passed on; having never seen the film he worked on win Best Picture. John Cazale was only in five films but every film he was cast in was nominated for Best Picture and all of them benefited greatly from his acting ability. Even on his deathbed, the man brought his acting A game.

A heavy one. Damn. As always, loving the older (especially 70's) stuff. Please consider "Dog Day Afternoon" 1975.

hoodcollector aka BIG HOOD

my friends dad ,who was a hardcore marine would walk around quoting this movie and when we were young kids and he wanted us to do something hed start yelling MOW !!! MOW !!! MOW!!! and playfully smack us on our heads ... understandably he was a bit on edge sometimes especially when he drank.. i miss that man he treated me like family and was a good man never judged me treated me fairly ..was crazy when i got cancer he would give me little bit of a hard time but i know it was his way of telling me everything was gonna be ok ,then years later he got cancer and he apologised for how he was towards me but he had nothing to apologise for R.I.P. to a good man
