Michael

And one of the main guys is Tommen who jumped off the building in GoT

Susan B

That is an excellent movie too! A companion piece to this one. The German soldiers in WWI were mostly just kids like the Brits and Americans who had no idea what purpose their deaths would serve. They were cannon fodder.

Susan B

I watch your reactions because you have a heart and a sense of humor, and you know when to set humor aside. I’ve cried watching this movie with you. My dad’s dad fought in WWI and was awarded a medal for bravery, but he never really recovered from the things he saw and did. He died young, of alcoholism, before I was born. The war was called “the meat grinder” because both sides were just feeding soldiers into it to see - as McKenzie says - who will be the last man standing. So many of them had no idea why they were fighting. It was a bloodbath. My grandfather’s binoculars in their leather case had his initials scratched into the case in pencil. I have held those old binocs and tried to imagine what he saw through them. This film, along with All Quiet On The Western Front, gave me a vivid idea of what it must have been like for my grandfather. And why he drank to forget. Btw, Lt Blake there at the end is Robb Stark from Game of Thrones.

Stewie Griffin

Bro you gotta check out Fury (2012). Amazing movie based on one of the most badass tank commanders ever.

NxChillNick

Thanks for the reaction this was an amazing movie to watch.

Nicolas Poutoire

A good follow up would be All Quiet on the Western Front. Get some German perspective too

Bill Bliss

Great War movie you will LOVE is THE LAST OF THE MOHICANS. I’ll go up to the highest tier for this one.

Bill Bliss

Seconded!

Bill Bliss

Great reaction. Excellent film. Most pointless war ever fought. - the leaders of the different countries were almost all cousins. Just wanted to flex and millions died for nothing. Only to set up conditions for Germany to get revenge under a psychopath named Hitler.

Gavin Reynolds

should do lone survivor, the covenant, saving private ryan, black hawk down, lot of other good war movies got to have the best stories and acting think its cuz most these movies are based on real events so they feel more pressure to do the story justice and portray it in the right light

Mike Fernandez

FURY is a good war movie with brad pitt and shia labeouf

Elfa

WOW great movie!

CJ

where’s gen v & the boys bruvvv

MajorMayhem

For the Christmas movies coming up, Jingle All The Way and The Night Before gotta be on that list man. You will love both.

Itss_NattyJ

Yep, I saw it a few times. Great film; doesn’t get reacted to at all.

Cayley

EZ

leo! you gotta watch Jingle all the Way with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sinbad for the Christmas vibes!

Mack

Blake played in a movie called "The King" with Timothée Chalamet good movie.

Al Koholic

The Karate Kid 2 please 🙏

Nathan

from a technical aspect this movie is super cool. another flick that did the "all in one shot" is Birdman 2014, great movie.

Mitch Coob

Didn’t even realize that until I just read this lol was wondering if he was gonna notice Rob Stark/Richard Madden too

Mitch Coob

First time watching this and I’m disappointed it took me this long cus damn that was good!

James Therian

I love the full circle of him resting against the tree as he was with Blake in the beginning, what a great ending for an amazing film, Cheers.

Itss_NattyJ

I’m still at the beginning but Blake is Tommen Baratheon/Lannister.

Itss_NattyJ

Awe, Blake is played by the actor that is Tommen Baratheon-Lannister in GOT! Am I the only one that recognized him?

Al Koholic

Hacksaw Ridge is another good war film. Better than this one imo.

Kluneberg

he did see DSMoM already. its on patreon

Kluneberg

that was a good miniseries

Daniel Fernandez

Wait that was Tommen??? I knew he looked familiar!

Rslharoo

Leo we need hacksaw ridge and black hawk down reaction please🔥🙏🏾

Mike Coil

Hacksaw ridge

Fatal N Felony

there were cuts but it was filmed to make it look seamless

Flukemarm

George MacKay (Schofield) is good in a 8 episode Stephen King minseries '11.22.63' with James Franco.

D-Matrix

Well just checked and they won 3 Oscar's. Including best cinematography and best visual effects. (Those invisible cuts tho) But lost best director to Parasite. Oddly enough, a movie you reacted to that I haven't watched... yet.

D-Matrix

There were cuts, but they did it so smoothly you can hardly tell without looking for it. The 1st one I noticed was after they went around that watery crater, then climbed up the other side, just before they make it to the enemy Frontline. As the big rock passes in front of the camera, THAT'S the cut. The rest are like that too. Any point where no characters are on screen, that's the second its transitioning to the next cut. Makes me respect the director Slash writer Slash producer even more for not only making the movie, but making it so well. Hope they got some awards and Oscar's because they put in the work.

Adam H

Brilliant movie 💯

Fatal N Felony

man watching this for the second time and it's still as sad

under tyranny

Love this movie right here. I was so sad to see Blake go. Reminds me of a quote. “Out of every one-hundred men, ten shouldn’t even be there, eighty are just targets, nine are the real fighters, and we are lucky to have them, for they make the battle. Ah, but the one, one is a warrior and he will bring the others back.” ― Heraclitus

under tyranny

I know I was 100 percent expecting him to say "DOCTOR STRANGE IS MACKENZIE?" as soon as he saw him.

EZ

Or that Rob Stark was Blake's bro

Alan

“Sir I didn’t ask for a riddle with all due respect” 😂😂😂 that shit took me out 😂

Flukemarm

Birdman (2014) for another "one shot" movie

Alan

Damn what a wild surprise never excepted to see you react to this but this movie fucking smacks. Boutta dab out and dive in 😤

EZ

Because he hasn't seen DSMoM yet lol

Christopher Morgan

That's crazy he didn't mention that Mackenzie was Dr strange

hoodcollector aka BIG HOOD

maaaan now were talking .. great fucking film brotha a classic seen this with a couple of war buddies when it first came out as a matter of fact we had to go far to watch it it wasnt playing at any regular cinemas we had to got to some artsy fartsy cinema that only played foreign films but it was worth it..made some of the homies get emotional to im not ashamed to admit it i got a bit also ..when youve seen certain things it sticks with you ..not the same kinda war but war nonetheless ..

Laura Thate

My grandfather fought in World War I came home one leg one arm missing, my father fought in World War II came home with what we know is PTSD now, but Ben was called Shell shock. I was born here in Alaska in 1945 after the red army USSR finally eliminated Hitler losing 27 million people in the process. Most from more but many more from starvation disease and many other nations sacrificed so many. Sadly, the US was the last to join the war and funded both sides. we immigrated from Norway, where we were liberated either red army we immigrated to Alaska where I was born. I will be 81 and the stories from my grandfather and father were never told or talked about unless they were alone on the porch having a heart to heartover glass of whiskey. What we are doing now in the same area with the same people involved is for nothing more than rare earth, minerals, and for corporations that are now purchasing the destroyed lands of the Ukraine.

Joachim Blaabjerg

I'm so happy you recognized the one-shot look early. Good eye. Did you recognize Blake and his brother, by the way? Who knew Tommen "Baratheon"/Lannister and Robb Stark were brothers.

Tony 2 Times

Brand new to me let’s get into it👌

Anti(Adam)

Great Pick Leo! You will really like Sisu. its John Wick style war hybrid movie

D-Matrix
