This episode really hits home how violent cavalry charges were with this type of Medieval warfare. It does a great job showing how brutal and powerful men on horseback were compared to footmen. This is the episode where everyone cheered Middle Finger for the first time.

definitely my favorite episode of GoT. That scene where Jon is standing alone on the battlefield and gets saved by his army charging & colliding with Ramsay's army is insane. Plus Ramsay's death is probably the most satisfying character death in any show or movie around.

The two best deaths in Game of Thrones: Joffrey and Ramsay. Both characters were played so brilliantly that they sparked hatred and outrage more deeply than pretty much any other person in GoT, and considering there was a lot of competition for hateful people, that's really saying something. Hats off to the actors Jack Gleeson (Joffrey) and Iwan Rheon (Ramsay). Your characters' deaths may be celebrated, but long live the both of you.

The battle of the bastards is probably the single greatest and most accurate cinematic portrayal of a medieval open field battle in the history of tv/film. It's so amazing that you almost forget this episode opens with Dany going ham with all 3 full grown dragons and obliterating the slave masters. My personal favorite episode of GoT and a fitting ending for one of the most evil/sadistic characters ever created. I cried when they hung the Stark banners at the end. House Stark FTW baby bay-bay.

Vikings is another good series I would have to recommend, along with Last Kingdom. Uhtred and Ragnar are both goated. Vikings isn't as bloody and vulgar but they have to get around their TV rating by not showing as much. Still a very solid series with memorable characters. Last Kingdom has plenty of brutality but not as in your face with it as GOT.
