Apart from Nadine, the girls hardly slept at all that night. They were accordingly exhausted when the first daylight came through the cracks of the heavy wooden shutters. Paula had completely lost track of time, but it must have been mid-morning when the shutters were opened and the light flooded into the shelter. Shortly afterwards, the front door creaked open and two squeaky clean figures appeared. Almost their entire bodies were encased in transparent rubber: The short latex dress was designed more to allow dirt to be easily washed off than to cover the admittedly attractive bodies of the two workers. Arms and legs were wrapped in latex stockings and sleeves made of the washable material. The bald heads had been tucked into hoods made of rubber, the fastening of which ran over the back of the heads to the nape of the neck, where it was attached to a heavy metal collar.
Eileen noticed them out of the corner of her eye, but only wondered for a moment what was being done to them. Then she saw that each of the girls was carrying a small electronic device in her hand and she had a bad premonition. The rubber dolls certainly had not brought the hair clippers for themselves, because it was all too obvious that they hadn't had a single hair on their bodies for a long while.
