I don't think you need to fly over any ocean if you're going from Japan to Dubai and then to England. Then again I'm not good at geography, but Dubai is in the Middle East, so both flights are like 90% over land.

I think you meant that they're flying over the Pacific instead of the Atalntic since they're flying from Japan to Dubai.
