🕑 Added 2025-02-08 08:00:02 +0000 UTCConrad was standing in a long queue that has formed in front of the club entrance. Tonight, was concert night and he bought two tickets for it, one for himself and the other one for Geno. As today evening was their casual "date night".
"Where is she? We agreed to meet at the entrance 15 minutes ago. Soon they'll start letting furs in... we're going to have to stand at the ass-end away from stage, if I'll have to wait for her outside." he nervously checked the time on his wristwatch.
These casual "date nights" were something Geno and Conrad established a few years ago, something that would bring a little bit of normality into their sometimes wacky lifes. It wasn't anything special, just some fun activities to pass the time, followed by a dinner, followed by a passionate fucking in the alley behind the club, or in the restaurants restroom, or in the park... okay, maybe that last part was a bit too wacky to be called normal.
But their relationship was an odd relationship to begin with, as despite the clear signs of affections towards each other, neither of them wanted to take a step forward and become more than just "bestest of friends with benefits".
In the short term, it all was working out for them, Geno could do her under-the-sheets business without thoughts of "cheating" prickling her conscience and Conrad also could flirt with whomever he had an appetite for, be that women or men alike.
Needless to say, both of them were not yet mature enought to commit to a dedicated relationship.
But tonight Geno was running late. She never was late and if she had to cancel, which seldom did happen, she always called earlier to set their meeting on an another day.
"I hope that nothing bad has happened." Conrad thought to himself, afterall the cat was a magnet for attracting all sorts of sexual misadventures of the positive and not so positive kind, when in the corner of his vision he noticed a fUrBER cab stopping right in front the entrance to the club. "Geno?" he thought, turning his head.
Instead of his best cat girl a different woman of equally striking appeal appeared. She was of a mixed species and an exotic mix to boot, a shark-dragon, the coyote had never seen anyone like her.
She had long dark blue hair with a stripe of a deep purple bang on the front. Her shiny skin was of a four color palette, violet plus two tones of blue for most of it and decorated with tiger-stripe-like accents on her arms and legs. To contrast the cold tone of her body, the woman wore red. A tight, cocktail dress with a deep cut on the front, that went almost all the way down to her navel and obscured just enought of her round breasts to not be confused with a string bikini. Rest of her accessories were matched accordingly, a red choker, long gloves that went beyond her elbows, high heels and a pair of fine, designer lace stockings that Conrad thought he has seen on his sisters girlfriend once.
To put it shortly, she was dressed to impress, and that she did.
Conrad swallowed heavily, thinking that "Whoever will be caught by her sight, will be in for a wild, firey night".
The girl glanced around the queue, as if she was looking for someone, till her eyes meet with the coyotes and the two stared at eachother for a brief moment, till the girl smiled. A bit embarassed that he was caught gawking, the man turned his attention to grabbing the phone out of his pocket.
"I better call Geno and ask when she's com..." just above Conrads phone a pair of firm breasts held in place by straps of red fabric, the same ones he just marveled a few seconds ago, had appeared. The coyotes paw froze over Genos contact on the list before he could make the call.
-You must be Conrad.- the pair of breasts spoke.
The coyote slowly raised his head from his phone. Meeting the brown of his eyes with the shark-dragons purple, once again.
-Yes.- he said a bit startled -Do we know eachother?-
The woman gave the man a warm smile.
-Not yet.- she exteneded her arms and put them on the coyotes chest -I'm Exenthal, but friends call me Exey and I'll be your date tonight.-
Conrad didn't answer, just blinked a few times, trying to process what's going on as the girl continued.
-Our mutual friend, Geno, had called me to keep you company tonight. A big, but sudden, deal had popped up for her just an hour ago, something about her role-play TV Daddy wanting to take her on a private jet to a tropical island with a few of his business friends.-
Conrad listened.
-You should know how it goes, they'll be most likely playing some adult "shipwreck survivor versus horny tribals" game. This might take her more then a week, depending on their endurance. So to make it up to you for buying the concert tickets, she called me and asked if I have a free evening and can keep you some company tonight in her place.- Exey spoke while adjusting the collar of Conrads shirt.
-So you're... a friend from "work"?- the coyote asked, putting the puzzle pieces in his mind.
-Yes.-
But before Conrad could ask anymore questions, the shark-dragon girl had put a finger on his lips, shushing him.
-Before you ask, no, she's not paying me for this. I just was super curious about you Conrad. Whenever Geno had mentioned you, I always wondered what kind of a man you are?- the girl narrowed the distance between her and the coyote -What kind of qualities do one must have, to even be able to put a leash on our blonde feline friends collar?-
In a swift motion, Exenthals lips swapped places with her finger on Conrads muzzle, giving him a gentle kiss.
-So let's just enjoy ourselves and see where the evening takes us, ok?- the girl grabbed the coyotes hands and led him towards the club entrance.

They did gave me a couple of possible themes and scenarios to work with, all of them were equally fun and appealing to my personal tastes, but the one I choose was a piece featuring Conrad.
As it was one of those famous bursts of inspiration, when you feel like your mind suddenly switched the gearbox from 3 to 5 and the idea speeds through your mind. Everything instantly clicks, the pose, the setting and even the introduction story :3

If I would ever do a comic, I probably would tackle some lenghtier and way more complex story than a tussle in the sheets. The art plus short story introduction is fitting this subject perfectly. The issue is not, not having a complex story, the whole lore of my characters is a damn iceberg, it's just the completly mundane subject of lacking time and focus. With my current drawing time I maybe could produce 1-2 pages a week, which is too little to push the story and keep readers engaged. Times like these I wish I was born in Japan, would probably seek my career as an assistant to some decent mangaka and with time use that knowledge to launch my own story and art, because yeah, those mangakas that push +10 pages chapters every week aren't working on those alone, they have whole teams, including art assistants and editors. Yeah, that's what I do nowadays, I focus on sketching up the characters and leave the background sketch very basic, often just writing up what kind of details I'll be going for. Once I get to inking and push the characters to around 60-70% inked, I start on working out the background details, sketching them in and also inking.

Loving your storyplot lines, you should try drawing comics (yeah, I know well the time and the massive efforts in drawing even a short comic, also the sketch board is very effortfull, so I understand) Anyway, alway an amazing piece!! Your sketches are so usefull. Those small texts for details, do you add those details later while inking?
