I just wanted to give a sincere apology for the lack of public content over the last couple of months and try to explain why, because there are quite a few reasons.. I do miss making it and i want to, it mostly comes down to not having the time or ability. :(
- i dont have a regular recording availability because of work-from-home.
I live in a very small house and my s/o works from home- the nature of their job interferes with my ability to record. This means i really only have one or two days every week available to record at all unless we plan ahead and they go into the office, but this can be difficult for a number of reasons [it's far away, gas expenses, scheduling conflicts and of course covid] - we are trying to move, but our combined income does not yet support that
this means i have to give priority to paying work, which i've been getting a good amount of, but since i only have a very limited recording time, there's only so much i can do. My income has significantly dropped over the last 9 months and it's made my paid work all the more necessary. - i no longer have regular access to scripts.
I stopped posting on reddit due to some severe abuse i suffered over my two years on the site. When i left, I asked if any writers would be okay with me recording their work and posting it publicly elsewhere and i was met with a lot of distaste and a severe lack of sympathy for the trauma i endured. Many of the writers i'd worked with previously had strict 'you must post to reddit' rules which i am extremely uncomfortable doing. I have a handful of very kind friends who allow me to record their work, but it's much more difficult now than it was before. - I genuinely have a really, really hard time doing sound design because it requires 100% of my focus.
i have adhd, i dont feel like this needs a lot more explanation lol - I have other things I'm working on!
I'm still making content and working and doing voice work and streaming. the last two months I've been very busy planning three huge events, as well as working on private commissions and trying to make sure that my patreon still receives their monthly content. - all of my audios were stolen and there's nothing i can do about it and it makes me want to create nothing.
I'm trying to work through this. It's not the fault of my honest, kind, wonderful community, and im sorry you suffer for it, but having my work so de-valued as to be stolen and re-uploaded takes away all of my motivation and desire to create. - i had some very serious family tragedies occur in december and January.
it's taken me a lot of time to process it.. i know it's healthy to take the time, but im still sorry it affected my content.
anyway, i just wanted to give an update and say that i still want to make things for you.. i just havent been able to and im sorry...
if you have any requests or anything, feel free to let me know. sometimes it helps to be inspired and know what people want.. okay, yeah.. thank you guys so much for being here and for wanting to support me. it really means a lot ;~ ; <3

Thank you for being brave enough to share such detail about your situation @Ruby. Sounds like you've had a LOT to have to deal with... To speak using some mental health metaphor I've been trying to learn, the fact you have any 'spoons' left to use/share is impressive, you've had to use a LOT of them. We're here for you :-)
