Overgrown: Genesis version 1.03 - Final Release! (*updated*)
🕑 Added 2022-02-06 18:20:46 +0000 UTCHello again O:G fans! Your long wait is over! Thank you all so much for being so awesomely patient! I present to you - the expanded final version release for Overgrown: Genesis!
This version now features new scenes, more endgame content, and greatly expands the content of existing gameplay while adding a crew of new characters and situations that we have created in response to player feedback and suggestions!
As usual a full changelog can be found below! Note that this is the penultimate/second-last update, with only one more update due after this that will add in the last two endgame content scenes (for Barton and Thompson) along with any bugfixes that need to be done for this major update! However we encourage you to play this version as the next update will only be bugfixing and endgame room content!
All new playable content is now in, and so it's worth a new playthrough right now!
We truly hope you enjoy the culmination of our hard work with this polished major update!

* Removed redundant infection counter on the top right of the screen (the green 'infection aura' already does the job of being a reminder of infection)
* Wasn't happy with the 'cartoony villain' vibe of Epilogue C1 and C2, so Epilogue C has been completely rewritten. Especially fond of the darker, more sombre note on C2.
* The Notes items have been somewhat rewritten and rearranged - Note #1 was rewritten + now found in the gangster den when doing Billy's quest in the Prologue instead of in the Suits office toilet; Note #6 was rewritten; Note #7's rewritten + location changed from Water Treatment Plant to the overrun apartment building with the anguished runner.
* Expanded encounter for the Anguished Runner in East Brookside (where the Police HQ is). The Baby Doll item is now re-dropped and a requirement for Epilogue E outcome
* Fixed the parts around Grand Hotel where you could walk on water
* Added a manual Gallery unlock option on popular request for Epilogues D and E. Interact with the computer in Juno's office and you can manual unlock all optional encounters (Sofia, Cassie, Natasha + Rebecca, Barton, and Thompson) in case you didn't trigger them during your playthrough
* Starting item changed from Painkillers to Knife + Disinfectant. The Gavin scene in the beginning also altered to reflect this if you choose to resist.
* Suppressants now scattered as a pickup throughout the game. Painkillers added to the random item drop rates. Bleach changed from random pickup to key item and is now used for Downtown area only. Numerous other items and pickups altered.

* In the expanded side area for Hamilton Square, termed Hamilton Close, a revamped Barton will now offer a sidequest for the area that involves checking in on survivors he used to trade with in the Supermarket and bringing back Barton's Brandy for him. Just doing this task marks the quest as complete and will affect the future outcome of the storyline after Act II, but...
* ... you can also have a drink with him, toast to fallen fellows, and borrow his shower, which leads to a consensual male dom/female sub new scene! Note that if you don't want to, you don't need to trigger the scene, but it won't unlock in the Gallery, and you won't get the second scene at the endgame room either (just in case some players don't want to see the male/fem action).
* The Cold Pines area is now greatly expanded and the storyline heavily revised. The Notes location is now changed. A new character, Kerry, is a big part of this area's story, and she comes with two new scenes! This was also part of a Tier V commission so a shoutout to Ranthe for contributing and going through with this amazing suggestion! (PS: Kerry's concept art is also now added and available to the Art Pack reward)
* Resting now leads to a new scene! Additionally, this scene changes based off Juno's Infection level, which now more clearly explains and visualizes what happens when Infection gets too high! The scene stops being a dangerous/gameover one after you pass Cold Pines, but after that it gets unlocked in the Gallery!
* Introducing a new military-oriented character, Thompson!
* The Downtown area is now greatly expanded and the storyline heavily revised! This includes the way the Hiveling enemies operate! They are now made somewhat vulnerable as they are only invincible as long as their local "mini-Hive" is alive. Killing this vulnerable weak spot will destroy all Hivelings in one area. This is also where Thompson's sidequest will play out! Just doing this task marks the quest as complete, but if you want, you can also...
* ... Unlock a consensual femdom/footjob new scene with Juno x Thompson! Again, this is skippable for those who don't want to see the male/fem action for some reason. But, for those who gave feedback on wanting male xJuno consensual scenes, this and the Barton one are for you!
* CG artwork has been added to Dr. Zara's encounter with the Dryad in the University, which I feel qualifies it as a new scene in its own regard now!
* For those who really went all the way and nabbed Ending E - congrats! You are now being rewarded with a sweet Ending E-exclusive Eva Hawke x Juno new scene!
* Certain endgame victory conditions will now require Thompson and Barton's sidequests to be completed as well as part of the "complete all sidequests" conditional!
* Added a little jump/stunned animation to enemies, which pauses them in their tracks for about 0.5 seconds after a hit by Juno.
* Updated the save log system, which was honestly showing kinda pointless info. Saves will now show the part of the game you're in (ie. Act I, Act II...) and also, if you got to the end it will show you what kind of ending you got! (ie. Epilogue A, B, etc.)
* Removed the Painkiller trading exploit in the Civilian Shelter from Sofia. She now instead gives you an un-sellable unique named Painkiller item.
* Many many more minute changes and corrections and edits that were too numerous to list...

yeah i initially got it on my phone using joiplay, but you need to download the version that adds the struggle button or its unplayable. but its an old version. if you want this new one you gotta do it on pc. unless the struggle button will somehow work for you. it did not for me, I downloaded a version on my phone that stated it had the struggle button in it. so if you dont have a computer that is your best bet. its still an amazing game if you do it on your phone that way. PS IMPORTANT one more thing to note, if youre still interested in playing it. if you get the struggle button version, you just need to get a zip extracting app, extract it. then click on it and it will download to your device. LAST thing that is extremely important. to use the "back" button you need to swipe up with two fingers from the bottom of your screen. (I typed this really quickly but if your are interested in playing on the phone if you dont have pc. respond to this and ill find the link and explain in better detail on how to start it and play it)

So, a couple of things. One, LOVE THIS! but, kinda got a bit lost on a few parts, since at the start of Act I it doesn't seem possible to get into the school/Uni as the bleach item didn't spawn anywhere in the area. Two, cant seem to find the doll in Act II for the shambler sidequest. Frustrating as hell since thats now a requirement for the good endings. EDIT: Nevermind the second part, I'm just blind AF XD

Thank you very much for the update! But why is this version only a zip-file of 657 MB and the previous one had have 1.15 GB? Are there any missing files inside? Sorry now I've seen by myself that there was a directory "OG Demo Only" before. Sorry again.

I'm thinking by 13-14 Feb it should be fixed to the point of satisfaction or at in a least non-gamebreaking state! Of course, you can always just play the Patreon version first if you don't mind helping the bug purge!
