Concept Artwork & Sneak Peek: Isander
🕑 Added 2023-01-27 12:45:50 +0000 UTCHello, hello, in this post I shall be talking a bit about Isander, an upcoming character for Rathpike!
Isander is a character concept I've been working on for awhile, that I think will really fit and embody the theme of Rathpike! Alongside his older brother, Lion, he was a former local warlord, who was eventually brought over to Zeon's side when all of Rathpike was united under Zeon's banner. However, peace ill-suited his tastes, and despite having been lavished with many spoils of war and heady promotions, Isander quickly grew bored with the stability that came with Zeon's regime and left to seek out the rush of blood and war once more. Such outright desertion would usually merit him being hunted down, and lethally punished... But knowing full well the potentially crippling cost of taking him down, Zeon simply let the war-lusting giant leave after putting a formidable bounty on his head.
Isander strikes a towering, implacable figure, more of a force of nature than a mortal man. He is meant to exist squarely in a moral grey-zone; he cares not for high-handed concepts like justice and mercy. All he wants is excitement, and all he cares for is his own enjoyment. Be it from killing worthy foes, finding good booze, to bedding women - it matters not the source. Isander will butcher a pack of monsters pillaging a village, only to do worse to that wrongfully-thankful village himself; he will just as happily hack to pieces a bunch of murderous bandits as well as an innocent barkeep trying to stop him from destroying his livelihood by drinking all his wares.
Isander will pop up from time to time across Rathpike as you progress through the various storylines in the area, either as an untoward helper, a very formidable enemy, or even simply a passing observer.

He's not in yet, we're focusing on Valos content atm!

I feel like I have done all the quests in Rathpike in the current release and I have never encountered/seen this guy yet. 🤔

Presently? Our focus is on the Rangers and the Sisters of Fertility! Once those two are done we are moving onto the Ranch next yes! Isander is reusing an old CG we have, rather than being part of properly 'new' content

Ah yes, it's basically 7'2"! Should just leave it as that to avoid confusion I'm thinking

I did a double take when I saw his height. 7'16" (or 8'4") is a BIG MAN. Even the correct 7'2" (because what man isn't going to round up 1.6"?) is still a giant compared to Claire.
