It's a fairly vague distinction, since the FCP allows at least passing references to rules. But wherever that threshold is, I'm a long way above it.

What does "references the rules in detail" mean exactly? Character sheets can no longer be class-specific? You can't include a margin note on how to calculate (for example) a spell saving throw DC? They need to be a lot less ambiguous if they expect people to even TRY to follow their policy.

Sigh. I hope they carefully rethink this. I abandoned D&D wholesale for their shenanigans and if Paizo thinks this is a good look now, well...

I'm afraid not. He also said that any character sheet that does the calculations or references the rules in detail wouldn't qualify for the new policy.
