The coloring technique here looks nice.
There seems something odd about the mother's face. Slight wall-eye combined with weirdly surprised eyebrows maybe. Did a full double-take when reading for the first time.

For the new project next year I'll probably do what manga does and do 2-3 color pages per chapter. Seems like a good compromise.

Oh gosh, oh gosh. Dis gun be guuuud. I also like the black and white! There's a certain charm lost is even a great color job... which is not to say color pieces don't have their own strong charm. Plus, people can color the black and white themselves if they feel a strong sense of expression about it.
