Changes to come, new Patreon and new projects! [IMPORTANT!]
🕑 Added 2024-01-21 14:34:43 +0000 UTCHey guys! As you know I’ve paused Patreon for a bit to think about what changes I wanted to make and outlining details for my new project here with you all. After giving it a lot of thought, these are the major changes that will be happening in this new stage:
- 1) While the popular character poll will stay the same, the second half of the month will suffer serious changes; That time period will still produce rewards for you, but its contents will vary in nature. More about that in a bit.
- 2) Tiers are going to be updated. Their prices are not going to change but its contents will, so if you’re in a tier because of its rewards, please read ahead for which changes will affect you.
- 3) The way you download rewards will change a bit, from now on, I’ll send you the direct link to download rewards through DM. That link will be functional for the same amount of time you have now, 3 months, but in the pinned post the only available reward will be the previous month. The old system was thought to allow supporters a flexible time window to download their things, not to exploit the system. I hope you understand.
- 4) A library of changing works will be created for Ten Tentacled Octopus tier onwards; It will contain a mix of previous rewards, from finished illustration to sketches.
- 5) Along with Patreon changes, Gumroad will suffer a drastic change as well and they won’t be no longer directly related for the most part, but it will be done gradually. I’d recommend that if you bought a pack or have in mind to buy one in the future, do so now since many of those are going to change or disappear.
- 6) As Gumroad won’t be the “Patreon archive” anymore, previous rewards for higher tiers will require a list that will be shared on discord and prepared personally.
I’ll be working on all these things to launch the new system, and that will take a bit. Since I have commission work yet to finish and many details to prepare, I won’t be charging you this February either. Patreon will be paused yet another month, I apologize for the inconveniences.
Now about the content, what are my plans to what we will be doing in Patreon from now on:
As I said, the popular character poll will stay the same. However, I have different plans for the second half of the month. I’m looking for some flexibility and freedom, to allow some other activities and experimentation that another poll won’t allow. That won’t be the same thing each and every month, though. What I intent to do in this space now is:
- Quicker pieces, fanart as well, but without the pressure of the “full illustration” style that takes me so long to finish. I want to finish more things, experiment more and cover more ground in themes, franchises and characters!
- Leave a spot open for some commissions from time to time. I want to be able to take some every now and then, and of course the result will be shared here in more detail.
- OC stuff. I think you guys liked this content and I want to bring it back. Not every month, but definitely when I have something interesting to share.
- Manga, as of making hentai comics. I have some idea for original content in this format but I still have things to prepare for this and I’d like to have a space on my Patreon to make it happen.
Of course, all these are my ideas, but your interest, reception and engagement with this content will decide what happens more often and what will stay out.
As for the tiers: They will still be 1/2/5/10 and 20, but they will be suffering changes:
- One tentacled octopus: It stays the same. Tip jar, thank you so much for your support!
- Two tentacled octopus: Members of this tier will be able to vote in the monthly poll and receive the popular character illustration in HD without watermarks and a wallpaper of that same version. This would be the basic ecchi illustration (the same one shared in social media, most probably)
- Five tentacled octopus: Member of this tier will receive all alts, sfw and nsfw for all works in HD, as well as wallpapers for both versions.
- Ten tentacled octopus: This tier will now have the PSDs/Clip files, character suggestions and access to the changing library of past works. Also they can ask for a gumroad discount code.
- Twenty tentacled octopus: This tier will have all the previous perks and a past month of rewards of their choice.
That is all about the changes, feel free to ask any questions you may have or make suggestions; I’m always open to hear your thoughts.
Remember that I won’t be resuming billing on February since I have still things to prepare, but I’ll be changing the contents of tiers soon. I’ll let you guys know when the new system is live.
