Given that we know AIs have a sense of smell, it stands to reason they'd have at least some rudimentary sense of taste. They don't swallow foods so they don't gum up their insides.

Tomato ketchup (there are other kinds)(I warned you) is savory, sweet, salty, sour, and bitter all at the same time. There are not many foods that can hit that.

Can't find it now, but I remember reading something about ketchup that argues that its appeal is its relatively sophisticated flavor--savory, yes, but also sweet.
