Blame this on the ADHD, but this got me wondering, how do the AIs think of the experience of humans and gender, and for that matter, being trans? As a generality, most AIs seem to operate within the gender binary, but does that represent an internal identity to them, or is it convenient to pick one in order to interact with humanity? If it's the former, do they perceive non-binary humans and AIs similarly to how humans do? Do they feel bad for trans humans, who don't have the ability to literally just move their existence to a different body? If it's the latter, do they even conceive of gender, or are humans who try to explain it to them doing the equivalent of explaining color to a blind person?

The only places I've seen them anymore has been in small dying towns that the rest of the world has passed by. The kids that could have left, retired folks are moving slowly through the aisles of dusty PW branded can goods, bags of snacks and "Fresh Local Vegetables!", it's really sad.

I missed shopping at the Piggledy Higgledy. It was like the closest thing to a Wawa or a HEB. Better than Fred Meyers. Not sure if there is a Canadian equivalent.
