Hello everyone! Today I come to you to yap about how the new clothing system will work. I already have a pretty solid frame built and I plan to expand from there. So, lets get right into it.
The system works off of the players PPI (pounds per inch) this is how the player height effects the weight, in essence the taller you are the more you need to weigh to have a high PPI, thus tall players will weight more than short players. I made the system work off of PPI so that it will streamline smoothly with the height system, and in case the player gets taller or shorter it can still function.
So, what are we looking at in this image? I'll break it down from top to bottom for you guys. At the top we set a base weight PPI, this is so we don't have like 60 or 70 clothing stages, it's about 75 pounds give or take. Next we set the step size, so how much weight is between each clothing size, in this case it's about 25 pounds. Below that we set the players clothing and underwear size, they will be the same at all times but the player will have to replace clothing items separately. Next we set the weight for the current clothes so we can know when you get too fat for them. Then we figure out your weight difference, which is tracked at all times, so we know if you're starting to out grow them. Finally at the bottom we have hard limiters to determine when the dress is forced to rip and when it is unwearable. The dress can rip before it gets to the limit through events, just like how it can become unwearable through events. The only thing that can't be done is the dress getting tight trough events, unless the event makes you gain weight.
Here is a small example of how the game displays the description of the size you have. This example is of the underwear, it is one of 12 case systems for the underwear. Clothing sizes are group together to make writing descriptions easier and to make sure each descriptions isn't a slight change from the last one. Right now there are Fit descriptions, tight descriptions, ripped descriptions and unwearable descriptions. When they display some descriptions maybe hidden. Please note that clothing descriptions will not effect the player descriptions. Anyways, that's it for now!
Occimy's Fun question:
Hi guys, Occimy again. With the addition of the upcoming update of this the tailor will be added… with that, is there any kind of art for him you guys would like to see besides his official art for the game I'll be doing? Or any other characters from the game you'd like to see non official art of in the future, NSFW art and such.
