🕑 Added 2024-05-05 15:57:09 +0000 UTCI've been a bit forgetful in filling out my notebook (which reminds me what I've done this week), and I've been feeling exhausted from pushing so hard for the past month and a half, so this weeks dev diary may be a bit lacking.
I finished another characters Live2d (for the prologue, more work will need to be done on him later)
I've been experimenting with adding breath, I've only done it for a few scenes so far. I want something subtle but also gives the impression its cold out. I'm not sure if its worth it or not.
I've also tried making shorts for YT and tiktok as a means to promote the game but I'm really bad at them and their dislike ration is higher than any other, not to mention since starting to post about the game, my following has dropped (so I'm not sure about making more tiktoks, I'll have to reconsider, I was aiming for silly funny but who knows lol). That being said, I did make a video devlog which was well received.
I've updated the credits page. This was battling me for so long, so instead of making a scrolling page that stopped on mouse hover, which you think would be easy enough, but it wasnt, I just made it a linked page for people to access. I could get it scrolling before, but since the links are clickable, you had to just run and grab it, and it didnt end, so no way to really exit the credits. I was also in contact with the composers to set up their credits on the page. Most things are placeholders at the moment.
I took the suggestion people made for the character design for Sara and am in the process of coloring her in. I thought shed be done by now, but I did take a few commissions this week to make enough money so I could look into buying a steam page for the game. Thats still pending at the moment, however, this is what I have so far for her. Like the blond guy above (Noah) I will probably only make her live2d limited in what it can do for this chapter as she doesn't appear again until later on in the story.
I've also started sketching out the final character of the prologue: Brandon. I would like to start on his coloring this week, but mostly focusing on Sarah this week, to get her colored and rigged.
In the game itself, I also added a link to a bug report (which will be available on the prologue and every patreon edition. It opens up to a google doc that people can fill out any issues they've come across.
I've also written 12 more pages to the story, although to be fair, 5 pages are dedicated to a side story that can be skipped, and may make it optional in the game. But it switches perspective from one character to another for that chapter. It makes sense in context why I'd add it. I actually would've had a bit more, but almost a page I wrote last night got deleted by mistake on my phone (since I do roughs on my phone) with no means of recovery so... oops, that scene was not meant to be. hehe. Although the last few pages has two characters I rather like but not sure how to bring them back outside of this scene, they just aren't the type to meddle in people's affairs, and honestly seem to hate everyone or everything. I dunno, need to think on it. The first like 80 something pages there are 2 main locations and 4 minor locations, and after page 80 to page 110, there are like 6 or 7 minor locations and 1 major location. Like much more freedom after the fact. lol
Side note, made emote for my character, hoping to make more in the future as well as a sort of way to promote the game . 
Anyways, that's it for this week. I feel I didnt really accomplish much, and suddenly I feel the march of time since I wanted to get this done this month to release it for next.
Man I will need to take a month long nap after this lol

Looking good! I really like the cold air breathing effect personally, if it's not too much work. Keep up the good work but don't stress yourself out ^_^.
