CYOA: The Marathon - Chapter 3 (Story)

It was embarrassing, letting this stranger wash her hands for her, but she felt so small next to her... If she really wanted to get this into her costume, Fawn suspected there wasn't much she could do about it. And she did need to finish washing her hands, anyway, so, she supposed there was no real harm in it, other than to her pride.
"There's a good girl," the woman cooed, turning the water on, guiding Fawn's hands gently, yet firmly, under the flow, rinsing them off. "It's lucky I caught you before you wiped these all over your pretty clothes!"
"I wouldn't have!" Fawn pouted, looking at her reflection in the mirror. The oversized, retro, black jack o' lantern sweater she was wearing had been way too expensive for that. It was cute, though, and super comfy, so it had seemed a perfect fit for sitting and watching a bunch of movies, even ignoring how festive the design was for today. The orange skirt she was wearing with it had mostly been chosen for the color, and was honestly pretty old, a bit faded, but also comfortable because of that. And it had pockets, which was always a plus.
"Uh-huh," the woman smiled condescendingly. "That's what they all say, dear." She moved Fawn's hands over to the soap, squeezing some on before rubbing them together. "You aren't fooling anyone, certainly not Mommy."
Fawn rolled her eyes. "Right," she said, starting to regret humoring the woman. She could appreciate her trying to get into character, to a degree; somehow, hearing her refer to herself that way seemed like taking it too far.
Or so she thought, until the woman went even further. "Here we are!" the woman exclaimed, rinsing Fawn's hands off once more, then taking a paper towel and wiping them dry. "Now that we have your hands spick and span, we'd better see how your panties are doing."
It was so absurd, such an invasion of her privacy, that it took Fawn a moment to process what was happening as the woman reached down, grabbing the hem of her skirt. "H-Hey!" she squealed, her own hands shooting down, clamping around the garment anxiously. "What the hell, lady?!"
"Excuse me?" the woman's eyebrows raised. "What did you say to me, little one?"
"This isn't funny anymore!" Fawn tugged at her skirt, trying to yank it free now, rather than just keep it in place.
"No, it isn't," the woman agreed. "If you can't be trusted to keep your hands clean, I shudder to imagine the state of your undies after a big, long movie. But don't worry..." She gave the bag at her side a pat. "Mommy has the perfect thing to help you with that."
She couldn't possibly mean... Fawn's face lit up bright red, her struggle intensifying.
"Don't be scared," the woman chuckled. "I can tell you aren't a Mommy, and that only leaves one possibility."
Fawn shook her head, seeing the stamp on her back of her hand as it attempted, desperately, to overpower the larger woman, the sight reminding her of the end of the movie, of that crib, of that little girl who looked suspiciously similar to the lead actress, in that huge, bulky cloth diaper...
It was only a movie, of course... But it was a movie this woman seemed much too into. "Come on, dear," the woman urged. "You've been so good so far... I'd hate for you to get yourself in trouble now!"
Fawn gasped as she lost her grip, as her skirt was lifted up, letting the woman see the underwear beneath. She blushed, mortified, as they were examined, thoroughly, the woman even daring to run a finger along the crotch of them. "Hmm," she said when she was finished. "I guess you have done a good job so far."
"Of course I have!" Fawn snatched her skirt free, glaring at the woman. "I don't know who you are, or why you think you can..."
Her words trailed off as the woman opened up her bag, revealing the contents, her mind reeling, seeing that it did, indeed, include exactly what she'd feared: stacks of poofy, cloth diapers and plastic pants. They didn't look like cheap Halloween props or costumes, either... They were the real thing. She took a step backwards, eyeing the door behind the woman.
"Since you've been a good girl for me, mostly, and you've stayed dry this long, I'm going to give you another chance."
"B-But I already did!" Fawn whined. "I-I don't need another..."
Her nose wrinkled as the woman pulled something out of her bag, something she might have mistaken for a pair of childish underwear, with a pattern of bunnies and flowers all over them, if not for the sheer size of them, the thickness of the cloth. These were training pants!
"No!" Fawn was almost as embarrassed by the tears she could feel welling up in her eyes than what she was seeing, what seemed to be about to happen to her. "I don't need those!"
"Then do you want to wear a diaper, young lady?" the woman snapped, her voice suddenly much harsher, stricter. Fawn's spine stiffened, instantly able to tell she was on thin ice. She shook her head meekly, hands balling into impotent fists, not knowing what to do, how to stop this without making it far worse, as the woman lifted her skirt again, sliding her underwear down, pushing Fawn's feet up to pull them off, then giving the trainers a flick, opening them up, holding them in front of Fawn.
"I-I don't need those," Fawn repeated, chin quivering.
"Then prove that to me, and I'll let you have your big girl panties back," the woman purred at her. "Be a good girl and lift your feet for me."
Fawn didn't have a choice now, didn't know how else to get out of this. Maybe she could complain to the usher, or the usherette, get this weirdo kicked out of the theater before she did this to anyone else... Would they care enough to help her, though? And, now, if she did that, the woman would be leaving with Fawn's underwear, leaving her with just these thick, childish trainers. Besides, if she did go to anyone else, she'd have to explain what had happened, and she wasn't sure she was ready to do that.
All she had to do, she told herself as she quietly, obediently, raised her feet, felt the training pants being tugged up her legs, was make it through one movie without having an accident... Considering she'd made it at least a decade and a half without one at this point, that wasn't going to be a problem... So long as this woman actually stuck to her promise.
"There we are!" the woman declared, standing back up with a smile, brushing her hands off, then giving Fawn's newly padded backside a swat. "That wasn't so hard, was it?"
Fawn sniffed, wiggling in place, feeling the strange garment between her legs, all around her bottom, inescapable. All she could think about, as soon as she was free from the woman's grip, was rushing for the door, getting out of here, snatching up her candy and drink from the bench outside the bathroom. Even with these Mommy cosplayers around, there hadn't been enough people for her to worry too much about them being stolen, especially when they were free to begin with.
Her heart beat a little faster as she approached the usher. She gulped, straightening her skirt nervously, certain there was no way he could know what she was wearing underneath, what had happened to her, yet blushing anyway, standing in front of someone so handsome in training panties, fishing her ticket out of her pocket to hand to him.
He took it silently, ripped it, then pushed open the door. "R-Really?" she blinked. How odd, she thought, that he'd happened to be right at the entrance to the auditorium she needed both times...
"Right this way," he said yet again, still the only words she'd heard him speak.
It wasn't terribly surprising that all the women she'd seen weren't here to see Camp Nightmare. She had to assume they'd all gone to Hillsboro Horror, which was very different from this, by all indications a slasher.
Nobody else was here, either, and this time, she went for a seat in the middle right away, since the lights were already down, a trailer playing on the screen as she made her way across the auditorium. She pouted as she sat, feeling the bulk of the trainers beneath her, a reminder of the incident in the bathroom. She was still a bit in shock from the whole thing, hardly able to believe it, taking a sip from her soda in an attempt to calm her nerves.
Was she glad her friends weren't there yet or not? Surely they wouldn't have let that happen to her... Right? Or would they have laughed at her for not standing up for herself, for not stopping the woman on her own? She squirmed, poking at the trainers, a part of her feeling like maybe she almost deserved to be in them.
When she looked up, she saw the title of The Gateway on the screen, was a little disappointed she hadn't gotten here quicker, paid more attention, to get more of an idea of what that movie was about so she could decide if she wanted to watch it next. She wondered if they were going to show a trailer for another of the movies from the marathon next, but, instead, Camp Nightmare began to play.
She nestled in her seat, ignoring the sensation of the training pants as best she could, opening up her box of candy. She probably wouldn't have to pay that much attention, she thought. She enjoyed slashers, but they weren't exactly known for being heavy on plot. It would be nice to be able to just sit and relax, and decide what, if anything, she was going to do about the woman in the bathroom, if she wanted to try to get her thrown out once she had her panties back from her or not.
The movie opened with a girl waking up suddenly, sitting up with a gasp, clamping her hands over her mouth as she looked around the dark, quiet cabin surrounding her bunk bed. She breathed a sigh of relief, mumbled, "It was only a dream," before standing up from her bottom bunk, the over-sized summer camp t-shirt she was wearing barely covering her crotch, making Fawn blush, wondering if, were she in that situation, she would be flashing her trainers.
The girl crept her way through the cabin floor slowly, making it almost all the way across before hearing something, turning around to check, almost immediately running into a shoe rack, sending a veritable flood of sneakers falling to the floor. She winced, making a token attempt to catch them. Sheepishly, she looked behind herself again, seeing, now, someone else sitting up. "Sorry," she hissed. "Go back to sleep."
They turned to look at her, their sheet still pulled over their head, making them look like a cheap Halloween ghost. A moment later, the person in the bed next to them sat up as well, similarly covered up, and then the person next to them, until, finally, the whole cabin was up, staring at her through their sheets.
"I'm sorry," she told them. "I was just trying to..."
As one, they all reached under their sheets, all pulling out a knife at the same time. "G-Guys?" she backed away. Still moving at the same time, they all started to get out of bed, and she spun around, running through the darkened doorway she'd been trying to reach, only to have one more person in a sheet emerge from the darkness, knife in hand, grabbing her.
The girl screamed, and the screen cut to black for a moment before displaying the title. Then, the girl sat up again, panting. This time, there was daylight outside the windows, and the rest of the campers were busy milling around, getting ready for the day. The girl looked relieved... Until she peeled back her covers.
"Aww, what happened, Charlotte?" one of the other girls mocked. "Did you wet your bed?"
"No!" the girl replied, yanking the blankets back up, getting them almost immediately ripped away.
"Oh, my God, Charlotte," the other girl snickered. "Are you serious right now? That is so disgusting!"
"I didn't mean to!" Charlotte sat there in her bed, blushing bright red.
Fawn couldn't help feeling sorry for her, particularly considering what she was wearing right now. Of course, she didn't wet the bed, but still, someone might assume she had some bladder issue, if they found out. And, thinking about it now, with a few minutes to recover, she realized she'd never even had the chance to use the toilet while she was in the bathroom!
It was no big deal, she told herself. She'd be all right, and if she wasn't, she had no doubt she'd find a slow spot in the movie where she could slip out and go back, and surely the woman would be gone, off to see her own movie... And then, hopefully leave, once she'd given Fawn her underwear back, so she'd no longer have to worry about running into her.
The trainers weren't terrible... They were soft, anyway. It was just that they were very clearly not panties, very clearly meant for a small child, very clearly intended to help out someone who couldn't be trust to keep their pants dry, and the idea of anyone - especially her friends - discovering she was wearing them was absolutely mortifying.
If her friends did find out, somehow, at least it would go better for her than it did for Charlotte. The camp, it turned out, was a reform camp for delinquent teens, so, unsurprisingly, when they heard one of their own had wet the bed, the bullying was merciless. The only person who didn't partake, who attempted to comfort Charlotte, was a petite girl named Heather, who seemed quite out of place, and was getting enough teasing of her own.
"I bet she's only sticking up for Charlotte because she pees the bed, too," one of the other girls mocked. "That's probably the only reason she's here... I can't imagine what else she'd do to get in trouble!"
As much as Fawn disliked agreeing with the bullies, Heather certainly didn't appear to be a troublemaker, it was true. Her and Charlotte teamed up, briefly, although even Charlotte wasn't particularly nice to Heather until Charlotte had another dream, this one of a figure in a sheet with a rusty pitchfork, chasing her through the woods around the camp before, just when Charlotte thought she was safe, appearing from the opposite direction, jabbing the pitchfork right at her neck as she screamed...
And the screen cut to black. Fawn was definitely not a gorehound by any means, but it was still a little disappointing that they didn't even try to show anything. As far as she could tell, this was a pretty low budget movie, and it was maybe too ambitious for them, trying to rip off both Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elm Street all at once... That did feel like a cop-out, however.
The movie focused more on Heather after that, trying to figure out what had happened to her sort-of friend. The faculty brushed off her concerns, saying that Charlotte had simply gotten tired of being made fun of and convinced her parents to let her go home early, but they all seemed suspicious, particularly the cook.
Heather was invited to an illicit party, and, of course, turned it down, a move that Fawn knew was wise for a character in a slasher, yet not so much for her as a camper. Fawn assumed Heather must be the final girl, until she got up in the middle of the night, in a set-up not too dissimilar to the opening scene, with camera angles, and the sound of heavy breathing, indicating that she was being watched, stalked, hunted.
She was grabbed, a hand clamped down over her mouth as she was dragged out of her cabin... And right to the party, full of campers drinking and smoking and making out. "Let's get her drunk," one of the other girls giggled. "Then maybe she'll wet her bed and vanish next!"
They did make Heather drink, and she seemed to get pretty tipsy, but it was one of the boys who drifted off in the middle of the party, dreamed of waking up, seeing the sheet-clad figure peering out of the woods at them all, axe in hand. He ran through the party, trying to warn them, no words coming out. He grew more and more desperate as the figured got closer and closer, until it was right there, right among the others, running at the boy, swinging its axe, everybody else still laughing and partying, paying no mind at all to his silent scream.
He probably wished they weren't paying attention to him in the real world, either, when he woke, discovered he'd peed his pants, the cycle starting over again.
Fawn wasn't sure if it was all this focus on characters wetting themselves, or if it had been a mistake getting another soda, but her bladder was starting to feel pretty full by now. Confident she had a good idea of where the movie would be going, at least for a while, she got up, headed down the aisle, to the door...
And discovered it was locked. "Hey!" she frowned, giving it another push. "Hey, let me out!" Her heart began to pound a little faster. What was going on?! "H-Hello?" she knocked on the door anxiously, hoping the usher might happen to still be out there to hear her.
If he was, he didn't respond, didn't unlock the door, didn't do anything, while she squirmed on the other side, squeezing her thighs together around the training panties, the urge to go only intensified by this obstacle keeping her from being able to do so. She took a step back, eyeing the door, confirming that it was, indeed, the one she'd come in from, that it had been unlocked not that long ago. She scanned the auditorium to see if there was another exit, seeing only the emergency one in the back, under one corner of the screen.
Was she that desperate? She debated for a moment or two before heading down towards it, confirming that it at least didn't say it was going to set off an alarm if she used it... It just wasn't particularly convenient, having to go out there, all the way around the building and back in, and then she'd have to find the usher to unlock the other door for her so she could get back in.
She checked her phone, trying to calculate how much longer she'd have to wait, to hold it. Maybe she could do it, she thought uncertainly, heading back to her seat reluctantly, her trainers feeling so much more embarrassing now that there was a possibility that they might come in handy...
The boy was in the middle of his second dream by then, a dream that, once again, ended with a blackout. Fawn wondered if that was why the theater had chosen the movie, because it was so tame when it came to its killings. Heather was more certain than ever that something shady was going on at the camp, one of the girls from the party laughing at her when she suggested it, then, that night, having a dream of her own, waking up in a wet bed.
Fawn fidgeted in her seat, biting down on her bottom lip, pressing a hand to her padded crotch. The plot of the movie really wasn't helping her take her mind off of her own problem... She gasped, feeling a spasm, barely managing to stop herself before she began to dribble into her pants.
She stumbled back to her feet, hurrying back down to the emergency exit. Had she waited too long already?! Would she even be able to make it to the bathroom at this point?!
The answer, to her horror, was no, though not for lack of trying. When she got to the emergency exit, it was also locked. "No!" she squealed out loud in disbelief. That had to be a mistake... But it hardly mattered now, because there was nothing she could do. She was trapped in here with no way out, no way to stop the inevitable.
She stayed at the door, hoping that it would magically open, until, before long, her bladder gave in. She let out a groan as the trickle of warmth began, soaking into the fabric between her legs, making it feel so much heavier, so much soggier... There was no denying what she'd done, particularly not as the stream intensified, her attempts to make it stop failing utterly.
She had peed her pants; in fact, she'd soaked them. The woman definitely wasn't going to give her panties back to her now, and, to be honest, in the moment, Fawn didn't feel like she deserved them as she trudged to her seat once more, nose wrinkling as she plopped down, training pants squishy now, already starting to cool, grow clammy.
Maybe it was a good thing she was wearing them, she told herself. What would she have done if she'd gotten locked in here without them? Of course, if the woman hadn't assaulted her in the bathroom, she could have used the toilet, and then she would have been fine.
It was odd, viewing the rest of the movie, so focused on characters wetting themselves, when she'd just done the same herself, when she couldn't escape the reminder of that, no matter how much she squirmed, what position she sat in. The rest of the campers from the party were going through the same thing, one by one, Heather growing more suspicious, particularly when, after sneaking into the camp dean's office, she found a collection of suitcases, full of clothes... Including Charlotte's. Finally, one of the others confessed what they'd seen in their dream.
"I know it's silly," she said, "but there was this... person, I think, in a sheet... And, somehow, it was the scariest thing I'd ever seen."
The others began to confess that they'd seen the same thing... Including Heather, surprisingly, Fawn assuming she'd missed that when she'd gotten up from her seat, until Heather clarified, "I've been seeing it for days now."
"But you never wet the bed," the girl pointed out. "Could you be immune to it? You have to fight it for us, Heather!"
Heather looked uncomfortable, and, given how they'd been treating her the whole movie, Fawn couldn't blame her. Ultimately, however, it was in all of their best interests for her to give it a shot.
That night, in Heather's dreams, she was back at the party, wandering around, seeing everyone laughing at her, making fun of her for being there, for not wanting to participate, each verbal jab making her shrink a little more until she was the size of a toddler, having baby bottles full of beer shoved into her mouth as she helpless attempted to bat them away, until, at last, the figure in the sheet showed up, scooping her up into its arms. She whimpered and thrashed, the outlook appearing bleak until her foot caught the sheet, yanking it down, revealing...
Heather's own face.
Did that mean she was the killer? Fawn was confused, particularly about why this dream sequence had happened, then, why Heather had told the others she was having the dreams, unless Heather didn't know the truth herself.
She certainly suspected it now, staying silent about the dream the next day, claiming she hadn't dreamed at all. She did her best to stay awake the next night, sneaking out of the cabin, going on a walk, ending up in the kitchen, where she expected to be alone, only to nearly be caught by the creepy cook. She hid in the pantry... And wound up locked in, not too dissimilar to how Fawn was locked in this theater, the cook leaving, unaware she was trapped. With nothing to do, and no way to finish her search, she fell asleep, and another of the campers was stalked through their dreams and killed, and was gone the next morning.
When Heather was released from the pantry, she had a huge wet spot on the crotch of her PJ shorts that she did her best to hide as she mumbled an explanation to the cook. He closed the door on her, only to return a few moments later, before she had even worked up the courage to see if the door was unlocked, handing her a spare uniform. "Put this on before anyone else sees," he told her.
"Y-You're... helping me?" Heather asked, staring at the clothes in disbelief.
"You're a good kid," he said. "What they're doing isn't right, but those other kids deserved it... But you don't."
"They? Am I not...?" Heather didn't seem like she even knew what to say.
Changed into her new clothes, which were slightly big on her, Heather listened as the cook told her everything, about how the camp was really reforming the worst of its campers, how they were using hypnosis to make them embarrass themselves by giving them dreams so scary it made them wet the bed, then, when they were in an even more vulnerable state from all the bullying they inevitably received, doing it again, breaking them mentally so that their parents could 'start over' with them, the staff being sure to whisk them away in the night afterwards so that none of the others suspected anything.
The party, apparently, hadn't had anything to do with it, contrary to the usual slasher rules; it was simply that the worst, most rebellious of the campers were the ones most likely to have been attending it anyway. Heather knew the story sounded crazy, but it was all she had to go on, so, at supper that evening, she got up on the table, and announced that they all needed to stop making fun of the bedwetters.
"I bet she's just saying that because she wet the bed, too!" a girl sneered.
And, to Fawn's surprise, Heather nodded. "Yes, I do," she declared, yanking down her shorts and revealing a diaper underneath. "I did before I came here, and so their plan didn't work on me, because I was prepared! If anything, the nightmares gave me an excuse as to why it was happening! But I refuse to be embarrassed anymore, and if you can all agree to stop being mean about anyone else doing it, then nobody else will disappear!"
A member of the staff grabbed her, hauling her bodily off the table and out of the cafeteria, but that just gave credence to her claims, particularly when she vanished, like all the others. She'd left a note for one of the girls from the party, directing her to a stash of diapers she'd left for everyone, with directions to distribute them so that nobody would have to know about any bedwetting that happened, and they wouldn't have to be as embarrassed, and the camp's plan would fail.
Fawn had to admit, she'd never expected to see a slasher movie where the solution to beating the 'killer' was diapers, yet here she was. The movie wasn't quite over yet, however, with one more scene at Heather's house, the girl facing an angry, slightly older woman.
"You little brat!" the woman berated her. "I bet you think you're so clever... You're going to wish that camp had turned you into a babbling idiot when I'm done with you! I'm getting that inheritance of yours one way or the other!"
Heather gave a tiny smile, nodding at something behind the woman, who turned to see a figure in a sheet standing right behind her, knife in hand.
She let out a scream and the scene cut away to Heather, in a hallway, right outside a door, muffled screaming coming from the other side as Heather discretely turned off the boombox she had sitting right outside the door, the one she'd presumably used to hypnotize the woman, picking it up and sneaking back to her bedroom with it before emerging again, rubbing her eyes, pretending to have just woken up as the woman tried to slip out of her room unseen.
"Is everything okay?" Heather asked innocently, then pretended to notice the wet spot on the woman's nightgown. "Oh, my God," she giggled. "Did you wet the bed?! I can't believe it! I'm not even wet yet!" She lifted up her nightshirt, showing off her dry diaper tauntingly.
"Shut up!" the woman ordered. "How dare you speak to me that way?!"
"You sent me to a camp for bad kids," Heather shrugged innocently. "Maybe I learned a few tricks there, step-mommy." She grinned mischievously into the camera, the shot freezing, then dissolving into the credits.
How had she gotten the hypnosis the camp used? Had she stolen it before her big speech in the cafeteria? Fawn wasn't sure... She just knew how weird it made her feel, seeing Heather flaunting her diapers so proudly, more than once, when she was absolutely mortified about her own soaked training pants. Was she really going to go find the woman who had her panties, try to convince her to give them back after what she'd done?! Just the idea of it made her face burn bright red. On the other hand... What if her friends were here now? What if she ran into them like this?! If they found out, somehow, she would never live it down...
Of course, she wasn't going to be able to do either of them if she couldn't get out of the auditorium. She picked up her trash, tossing it into the garbage, then went to the door, banging on it, preparing to shout for help, and pray that the usher was nearby.
As soon as her knuckles hit the door, however, it swung open, slamming against the wall. "Huh?" she blinked, shuffling out, confused. It had been locked before... Hadn't it? Curious, she rushed back inside, down to the emergency exit, giving it an experimental push.
It opened as well, right away. "N-No," she shook her head, baffled, and even more embarrassed about what had happened. "I-It was locked... I know they were locked..." They had to have been... She would never have wet her pants if they hadn't been...
They certainly weren't now, though. If she did try to use that as an excuse, a reason why she'd peed her pants, she had no proof whatsoever. It really did just sound like an excuse, and not a particularly good one at that, like something a little girl would make up because she was embarrassed and didn't want to admit she'd simply had an accident.
That was definitely how she felt now, too, standing in front of the clearly operative emergency exit, wiggling her soggy bottom in her trainers, tugging at the hem of her sweater nervously. She could go out, go to her car... But she had to get her panties before she headed back to campus.
She sighed, turned back around... And nearly jumped out of her skin, seeing someone covered in a sheet, sitting right behind where she'd been seated the whole movie. She felt a spurt of warmth make its way into her already drenched trainers, her heart pounding, wondering how long that person had been there, how much they'd seen. They couldn't have been there before the movie... Right? Surely she would have noticed them... But they hadn't been outside the door when she'd opened it, either, and she didn't think there had been time for them to sneak in and get to that seat, as quickly as she'd dashed down to check the emergency exit.
"N-Nice costume," she told them, trying not to think into it any more than that, hurrying out of the auditorium, the hairs on the back of her neck starting to stand up. The women dressed as Mommies were still in the lobby, unfortunately, Fawn keeping her head down, doing her best not to look at any of them, feeling like any one of them would be able to recognize, instantly, the state of her pants if she did.
"Y-You don't lock the doors during the movies, do you?" she asked the usherette uncertainly. The girl stared at her, unblinking, making Fawn question herself, and how absurd the question was. "S-Sorry, of course you don't," she shook her head.
"Movie?" the usherette asked simply.
Fawn honestly wasn't sure... These movies had both been so strange so far, and this place was starting to give her the creeps... But she had paid for the whole marathon, and she was already halfway through... She wasn't going to give up now, was she?
Should Fawn...
...Just try to sneak to her next movie without Mommy seeing her?
