Adventures in Potty Training

It had seemed like an innocent enough suggestion at first. "She looks up to you so much," Erin said. "Maybe if she saw how well you did, it would motivate her to do better herself."
"I mean," Kyra shrugged, "I think the fact that I don't run around in wet pants all the time is one way for her to see that I do a better job at using the potty than her."
"Well, of course," her client chuckled. "But you know how kids are... A nice, visual representation of it might help."
As embarrassing as the idea was, Kyra couldn't find a real reason to say no, other than that she kind of wished she'd thought of it herself, could take the credit for it. "Sure," she gave in. "We can make it together tonight, and Callie can help me decorate it. It'll be a fun little activity to..."
"That would be cute," Erin interrupted. "I'm afraid I already made one, though, hoping you would agree... I thought it would be a good idea if it looked exactly the same as hers, so that it would feel more official, you know?"
Sure enough, when Kyra went into Callie's bedroom, she saw it there, up on the wall, her name written across the top. There was something about it that made her squirm, that made her stomach twitch, even if it did look impressive next to her charge's, no stickers on hers at all as opposed to the myriad of frowny faces all over Callie's.
"Are you potty training, too?" Callie asked her, clearly having been excited for the question ever since her mother had put up the second chart.
Kyra smirked, exchanging a look with Erin. "I sure am, Callie," she told her. "If I have any accidents at all, we're going to put a sticker up there, just like on yours, okay?"
"Okay!" Callie beamed.
"Okay, you two," Erin said. "Have fun tonight!"
Kyra planned to; Callie was a good kid, pretty easy to take care of, other than all the trouble she was having making it to the potty on time. Even then, she had, at least, mastered getting there to poop, which made clean-up that much simpler, less icky. It was bound to be only a matter of time before she figured out the other half.
"You're gonna help me, right?" Callie batted her eyes up at Kyra.
"Of course, sweetie," Kyra smiled down at her. "We're in this together now, remember? I'll keep an eye on you to let you know if I notice you start to get all wiggly like you have to go, and you can do the same for me."
Unfortunately, the promise didn't last long, because Kyra got a message from one of her friends with some juicy gossip, and quickly got distracted chatting about it, only vaguely watching what Callie was up to, missing out on the signs that she was ready for a trip to the potty until it was too late, and the girl was toddling up to her, sniffling, Pull-Up soaked.
"It's not that big of a deal," Kyra assured her. "It's only one sticker... That's not so bad."
But it wasn't only one... It was only one more, on a chart already filled with them. If anything, having Kyra's pristine chart right next to it made it sting more. If Kyra thought only one wasn't so bad, then maybe she wouldn't notice, or care, if Callie snuck one onto hers, to make her feel better. Not to mention, it had been partially her fault anyway... She'd promised to help Callie out, and then hadn't given her any notice at all!
Kyra, in fact, didn't notice the sticker there, didn't think anything of it, almost forgetting the chart itself until Erin got home that evening. "So, girls," she said with a smile, coming home to find them sitting on the floor together, playing, "how did we do tonight? Did we make it to the potty on time?"
"We tried," Kyra replied charitably.
"Well, that's all I can ask," Erin shrugged, giving the babysitter a wink. "I'm sure you'll do better next time." Kyra laughed it off, started to stand. "Kyra!" Erin exclaimed. "Did you have an accident?!"
"Wh-What?!" Kyra squirmed, her blush deepening. "N-No, of course..." But, looking down, she could see the damp patch on her panties, the small puddle underneath her, her brow furrowing in confusion and embarrassment. She sat down quickly, only to have Erin squat down beside her, lifting up her skirt, despite Kyra's best attempts to snatch it out of her hands, leaving her no choice. "Y-Yeah," she mumbled quietly. "I-I guess so..."
She did her best to pass it off as intentional, to - after the initial shock had faded - pass it off as her trying to make Callie feel better about her own accidents. She could almost have believed it herself, if not for her having no clue about it until Erin had pointed it out to her. It only got more humiliating when they went to Callie's room to mark it on the chart, and saw that there was already a sticker there.
"Did you have another accident tonight?" Erin demanded.
"No!" Kyra shook her head. "O-Of course not! I-I was... I-I put a sticker for this one already, that was all!"
Erin stared at her, unimpressed. "Did you, Kyra? Were you intentionally wearing wet panties around the house, just waiting for someone to notice?"
That didn't sound good, did it? "N-No," she said. "B-But..."
"Then did you put it there, planning to pee yourself when I got home?" Erin inquired. That didn't sound right, either... "Was that sticker there before, Callie?"
Truthfully, Callie nodded, though she was too nervous to tell the truth about its origins. "Uh-huh, Mommy."
"Well, in that case, I think we'd better put up another one for this accident," Erin declared.
"B-But I only had one!" Kyra whined, stomping her foot, earning a pointed glare from Erin. She blushed, realizing how silly and childish that looked, how she shouldn't be encouraging Callie to react that way to earning a sticker. "You're right," she sighed, still unhappy about seeing another sticker added to her chart.
She was even less happy when she got back to her apartment that evening and, after slipping into her PJs and curling up to watch some Netflix, suddenly found herself sitting in a puddle. She assumed, at first, that she'd spilled her drink, but as soon as she got up to go fetch a paper towel, she saw the real origin, saw the wet spot on the crotch of her pajama shorts.
It had to be something she'd eaten, or drank, that day, or she was coming down with some sickness... There was no other explanation for why, all of the sudden, she was peeing her pants twice in one night, after decades of having zero issues with that. She felt totally fine the next day, though, had no more problems until the next time she sat for Callie.
Seeing the chart on Callie's wall again, seeing her name and those two stickers, brought it all rushing back to her in one mortifying flood. She still had no idea what could have caused it, but it definitely wasn't going to repeat tonight.
Except... She got distracted, and didn't tell Callie to go to the potty, on time, same as last time, and Callie, again, frustrated, waited until Kyra left her room to put up another sticker, then after a moment, adding a second for good measure.
The first accident came while Kyra was cooking supper. She could almost justify it, telling herself that she'd been in the middle of it, hadn't been able to run off to the bathroom, but, deep down, she knew she hadn't noticed she had to go until she'd felt the wetness dribbling down the legs of her pants.
"H-Hey, Callie," she called, brain going into overload, trying to think of a way to get out of this without Erin discovering she'd peed her pants yet again. "Do you want me to play dress-up? Why don't you pick me out something to wear and leave it in the kitchen for me?"
She'd prefer to borrow some of Erin's clothes, but that would be harder to explain, especially if Erin got home before her own outfit got out of the washer and dryer. If, for some reason, anything happened, Erin would definitely notice her clothes in the hamper with a wet spot on them... Callie's wouldn't be so unusual, and Callie did love to have Kyra try on her clothes, after she'd discovered that she could fit into some of them. And, embarrassing as it was to admit, their fashion senses weren't that far off from one another.
It certainly didn't do much for her self-esteem, however, running around for the rest of the evening in a tiny, pink dress with a kitty on it, the skirt so short on her that the white panties - ones Callie herself had never even gotten to wear, since they were there as an incentive for after she finished potty training - flashed underneath whenever she made the smallest move.
Of course, Erin got home while Kyra was still in the outfit, but it was hardly the first time she'd seen Kyra play dress-up for Callie's amusement. The worst part was that Kyra had heard the dryer beep, signalling that her own clothes were ready, and she just hadn't gotten there to claim them yet. "Do you mind if I use your bathroom before I head home?" she asked, hoping she'd be able to sneak to the laundry room instead.
"Kyra," Callie called for her as she headed for the hall, "the potty is right there."
Kyra turned, cheeks darkening as she saw the potty chair, sitting in the middle of the living room. Before she could respond, Erin suggested, "Maybe it would help if you gave it a shot, as long as you don't mind."
It was weird, yes, definitely more-so than having a chart, particularly in these clothes... But she supposed she could see the reasoning behind it, see why it might help for Callie to see her fellow 'potty-trainer' use the actual potty at least once... "I-I guess..." she agreed reluctantly, mind racing as she tried to come up with another way to get her clothes back, shuffling over to it, starting to lift up her skirt.
"Wait," Erin frowned, reaching over, grabbing Kyra's hand, lifting it higher, to the slightly younger woman's surprise. "Kyra! Did you have another accident?! And in the clothes Callie was nice enough to let you borrow?!"
As silly as the idea was, Kyra couldn't help thinking it as she was taken to Callie's room, as she saw the chart that she was starting to hate, even before she spotted the two stickers already on it. There had been one sticker last time, and she'd had one accident... Now there were two, and it had happened twice. That was quite the coincidence... And as far as she knew, Callie hadn't known about her first accident tonight, and had been there for both of the others, hadn't had time to put a sticker up without being seen.
"Two already?" Erin raised an eyebrow. "Kyra... Why did you really want to play dress-up today?"
"I-I just thought it would be fun!" Kyra whined.
"Then where are the clothes you wore here?" Erin demanded. "I really hope you aren't lying to me, young lady."
Kyra groaned, feeling trapped, like as much of a little girl as Callie as Erin spoke to her, despite knowing how small the gap in their ages was. "Th-They're in the dryer," she confessed.
"So, you've had three accidents tonight?" Erin sighed.
"N-No!" Kyra shook her head. "O-Only two!" That was bad enough, though, wasn't it?! She was an adult! She shouldn't be having any accidents, hadn't been until this stupid chart!
"This one must make three, if you already had two," Erin told her. "And I think you know what the rules are in this house. Three accidents in one day, and it's back to trainers."
Kyra did know that, even if she'd never had to enforce it, since Callie still hadn't had any day with less than three accidents, so she hadn't gotten out of Pull-Ups in the first place. "B-But..." she whimpered, shaking her head. That didn't mean she had to wear them, right?! She didn't belong in Pull-Ups! She was a grown-up! And she hadn't had three accidents, no matter what the chart now said, as Erin placed the third there.
"You're being potty trained alongside Callie, aren't you?" Erin asked. "That means you have to follow the same rules. And the rules say..."
"Fine!" Kyra huffed, not wanting to hear her say it again. Her only hope was that the training panties wouldn't fit, but, unfortunately, they did, crinkling softly under her pants once she was back in her own clothes, heading home, humiliated. And, to add insult to injury, by the time she made it there, they were already soggy, her third accident... Just like the chart said.
It had to be the chart. As absolutely ludicrous as it sounded, there was no other explanation for it. She didn't know how, she didn't know why... All she knew was that it was behind this, it was making her have these accidents. And, as much as she didn't want to have to face Erin again after the past couple times, she knew she had to go back, had to put a stop to this.
Things already felt different from the moment she stepped into the house the next time, Erin immediately taking her by the hand back to the guest bedroom, where Kyra saw a Pull-Up waiting for her on the bed. "No, come on," she pouted. "I-It won't happen again, I promise!"
"You can put them on yourself, or I can put them on for you," Erin informed her. "Rules are rules, young lady, and you haven't proven that you don't need them yet."
Gritting her teeth, Kyra slid off her panties, tugged on the trainers, whining as she finished up and found that Erin had hidden her panties, and pants, while she was distracted, and again as Erin inspected the Pull-Ups, patting them, positioning them just right, as if Kyra couldn't be trusted to do it herself. "I expect you to keep these dry tonight," she lectured. "Callie knows that, if she sees any sign that they might be wet, she is to go put a sticker on the chart right away..."
"B-But..." Kyra squirmed, unable to finish that sentence without sounding crazy. If Callie was wrong, if she put up a sticker when Kyra hadn't had an accident, that would mean she would have one...
"I think this will be good for her," Erin said. "Maybe keeping an eye on you will help her recognize the signs for when she needs to go."
"I-I don't know if I want to do this anymore," Kyra shook her head. "I-I think there are better ways to help her potty train..."
"Well, it's too late for that," Erin shrugged. "You've already proven how much you need some more training yourself, young lady."
Kyra was more vigilant than ever, determined not to so much as dribble into her Pull-Ups, or do anything that might make Callie believe she had. She didn't think she'd have any issues, shouldn't, so long as there was nothing on the chart, and there was no reason there should be anything there yet... If she could make it through the night without any, she would prove to Erin that she didn't need Pull-Ups, or to be potty trained, and prove to herself that the chart really was making this happen, that she wasn't crazy. If Erin didn't agree, said that she had to keep playing along, then Kyra would just stop babysitting for her, take the chart for herself so nobody would ever put anything on it again.
It would be easy enough, or so she assumed, until Callie had an accident, Kyra too distracted by her own problems to think about Callie's. She got the girl cleaned up, changed, then went to wash her own hands and returned to find Callie at Kyra's chart, covering that day's spot in stickers. "Callie!" she gasped, rushing over to yank the sheet of stickers out of her hand. "Wh-Why did you do that?!"
"Because you don't care about helping me get out of Pull-Ups," Callie pouted. "So you should hafta wear them forever, too!"
Kyra squirmed, heart thumping as she felt the padding between her legs begin to swell, to grow warm, realizing that she was already having the first of what would apparently be many accidents that night. Frantically, she tried to peel away the stickers from the poster, scratching at the edges of them with her fingernails, but they refused to budge.
There was only one thing she could do. She grabbed the chart, yanking it down from the wall. "You're not s'posed to do that," Callie told her. "Mommy put that up there, and..."
"I don't care!" Kyra snapped. "I have to get rid of it!"
It was harder than it should have been, considering it was just thin posterboard, as if it was fighting back, somehow, but after a few false starts, she twisted her hands away from one another, the chart ripping in half...
And, all of the sudden, everything was different. She was back in the guest room, but the furniture had shifted completely, the bed and nightstand gone, replaced by a crib, a changing table, a rocking horse... It was a nursery now, and one that seemed, to Kyra's horror, sized for her.
That was far from the worst of it, though, as she discovered when she took a shocked step back, hearing a far louder crinkling than her trainers should have made, felt her thighs being forced much further apart. She frowned, looking down, eyes widening as she saw her t-shirt having somehow stretched out, extending now between her legs, where it was snapped together, a pink onesie with a baby pattern, over top of what was clearly a thick, bulky diaper.
"N-No," she mumbled, shaking her head, the word muffled, making the hand that had started reaching down to poke at her diaper move upwards instead, feeling the shield of the pacifier in her mouth. Her other hand was clutching desperately to a blanket, completing the picture.
She was a baby. Somehow, she had been turned into a baby... And more of one than she even knew, as she toddled frantically over to the door, to get out of here, only to discover that the knob was out of her reach. It wasn't that the baby furniture here was sized for her... She was sized for it, apparently, had been shrunken down to fit it.
"No!" she repeated behind her paci, stomping her foot. This couldn't be happening! She clung tighter to her blankie for comfort, sucking harder on the pacifier, as she felt a sudden pain in her tummy and then, before she could even realize what was happening, her knees began to bend, sending her into a squat as her body started pushing. She squealed in fear and disgust as the seat of her diaper began to expand outwards, as it grew heavy and warm and sticky, as she helplessly filled it with a load of stinky mush.
She was still in the middle of it when the door opened, when Erin walked in, smirking. "What happened here, Kyra?" she teased, kneeling down beside her. "What did you do?" She was absolutely giant now, had no problem turning Kyra around, giving the ballooning bottom of her padding a playful swat. "Are you pooping your pants?"
Kyra stammered and sniffled, mortified at being found like this by her client. "I-I..." She couldn't bring herself to say it out loud. "I-It was an accident!"
"Of course it was," Erin said. "You destroyed your chart, you silly girl... Don't you get it? That was your potty training chart, sweetie. Without it, you don't have any potty training at all..." Kyra gasped, heart pounding in her chest. "You know, in a way, you're lucky... Obviously, Callie couldn't be allowed to remember anything, or she'd have figured out the way her chart worked, just like you almost did, and where would the fun be in that? She's been trying to master potty training for a very, very long time... And she's been asking me for a sister to play with for almost as long. I knew you'd be perfect for it... I just didn't realize you were going to be her baby sister. But since you decided to get rid of your chart, and your potty training, you get to remember being a big girl, and everything else..."
She did remember... She remembered more than ever now, remembered how, despite the way she thought of Callie as just another toddler, that she, like Kyra now, looked like a young woman, simply shrunken down, how she had always felt like there was something off about Erin... If anything, having that knowledge now, knowing that other people would see her the same way, treat her like an actual baby, while she knew she was an adult, might be worse, might be more humiliating.
"N-No!" Kyra whined. "I-I want the chart back! I-I'm sorry! I-I can earn my potty training back! I-I'll follow the rules!"
Erin chuckled, shaking her head, giving the seat of Kyra's diaper another pat, the tiny woman wrinkling her nose as the mess inside squelched. "Oh, no, cutie," she said. "It's far too late for that... You're far too little to worry about potty training. But don't worry... I'm sure your big sister will love learning how to help change your diapers."
Original prompt: Babysitter is helping potty train one of her charges using a potty training chart. Mom suggests the babysitter “Potty train” beside them and puts their own chart up there. However, the sitters chart is magic and actually predicts future potty accidents and the charge, mad at her lack progress, just filled the babysitter’s chart with stickers.
