Derrick's Awakening - Chapter 21
🕑 Added 2023-09-14 12:00:02 +0000 UTCWhile Derrick heard the text notification as he drove over to Nanny's house, he knew better than to check it when he was driving. It was distracting enough, still, being in diapers, although his last couple of adventures there had certainly gotten him more used to them. He wasn't quite there yet completely, however... It wasn't a problem, really, when he was hanging out in his apartment - and definitely not when he was with Nanny - but when he was trying to be a big boy, it was.
It was part of why he'd debated with himself about whether he ought to wait and let Nanny diaper him when he arrived. He'd enjoyed the praise he'd gotten last time for showing up in them already, but Nanny was so much better at it than him. Being in a diaper that she'd taped up for him felt like being given a hug that never ended... Or, at least, not until he used it, and had to get a new one, though then, it started all over again.
His desire to be a good boy for Nanny had overruled that, however, knowing that he'd probably need a change before long anyway, so it was really the best of both worlds. He'd go a little while in his old one, which she'd probably adjust and tighten, almost as good as her doing it herself, and then he'd have an accident and get a fresh one.
Or...
He blushed, both at not having considered it before, and at the embarrassment at the idea. He could always show up wet... Then he'd get a change immediately, and Nanny would tell him it was an extra good thing that he'd been wearing it to her house. He giggled to himself, peeking up at himself in his reflection, seeing the mischievous grin on his own face. He was definitely going to do it now...
But not right now. He gasped, slamming on the brakes, stopping short of running into a car he hadn't noticed at the stop sign ahead of him. He'd known the stop sign was there, of course, had driven this route countless times... That didn't mean he could let himself get complacent, though, clearly. He needed to focus, and that meant keeping his diaper dry until he was where he needed to be.
He was so focused, in fact, that by the time he pulled into Nanny's driveway and turned off his car, he'd forgotten all about the alert. He didn't even bother to look at his phone as he wriggled in his seat, listening to his diaper crinkle. As a thought, wetting himself before he went inside had sounded fantastic, easy... He'd been peeing his Pampers more and more lately.
Now that he was here, he was suddenly more aware of how open his car was, how exposed he was in it. He was surrounded by windows, after all, and anyone could peer in and see him squirming in his seat, might recognize the far-away look in his eye as he let go. Then again, if he waited until he was out of the car, on Nanny's porch, he would be even more visible, and there was a chance Nanny would see him, catch him before he finished the act.
"Okay," he told himself quietly. "This is it..."
It wasn't that hard... If anything, this should be simpler than going at the park had been. He was sitting down, and, despite the glass all around him, the diaper itself was hidden, anyway. If he were to leak, prove definitively how much worse he was at diapering himself than Nanny, then he'd be able to... Well, he wasn't sure what, given that he hadn't brought any extra pants with him, and he didn't want to have to drive all the way back to his apartment, not to mention walk up to it and risk running into a neighbor while he had a wet spot. At least he'd feel more protected, he supposed... And, embarrassing as it would be, he could text Nanny and she could run in and be the hero.
Thinking of texting did light his brain up for a moment, alerting him of something, but before he could buckle down and work out what it was, he felt the trickling begin. He smiled, wiggling in place, the warmth quickly soaking into the padding, spreading throughout, seeming to send him backwards in time as his diaper grew soggier and soggier.
Why hadn't he been doing this all along? He was instantly so much further in little-space than usual, and he was certain that was only going to get stronger once Nanny checked him and changed him. It was an easy shortcut that was so very obvious in retrospect. She already did such a good job of getting him there, but it would be nice not to have to work at it at all, to just be there from the jump...
He looked down at his pants to confirm that his Pampers had held up and hopped out of the car, excited to see Nanny, practically skipping up to the porch and hitting the doorbell. He couldn't stand still as he waited, wondering if he should tell her right away, maybe win some points for confessing, or let her check him as usual. He didn't want to lie, though it might be fun to pretend he hadn't noticed...
Thankfully, he hadn't made his mind up before the door opened, hadn't blurted it out immediately when he saw it begin to swing, just standing there instead, squirming and giggling nervously as he lifted his hand to wave, starting to greet...
Malory. He stopped himself short as he chirped, "Hi, Nanny!", pretty sure that only the first word had gotten out. The possibility that there had been more, however - along with the soggy diaper beneath his sweatpants - turned his face bright red as he faced his friend, brain going into overdrive, analyzing what tone he had used, the way he was standing, everything.
She chuckled, tilting her head slightly. "Hey," she replied. "What's up?"
"Wh-What are..?" he began to ask, realizing how silly it sounded before he finished, but not before it was obvious how he had intended to continue.
"What am I doing here?" she raised an eyebrow. "I live here... The real question is, what are you doing here? You know I'm usually at work this time of day, and I didn't tell you that I'd been let off early..."
He gulped, opening his mouth to answer, only to have nothing come out. What could he say?! It would sound weird if he told her he was to see her mom, but she was right that he was well aware that she was never here this time of day; that was why Nanny and he scheduled their sessions for now. To his horror, he felt tears beginning to swell in the corners of his eyes as panic set in, standing there, facing his friend, wearing a wet Pamper...
"I texted him to let him know," Nanny said suddenly, her voice sending a wave of relief through him even before he saw her comforting presence. Malory turned to look at her mother, giving Derrick a moment to wipe his eyes, try to calm down.
"Why?" Malory frowned. "I mean, not that I'm not happy to see you, Derrick, but I already told Mom that I was having a girl's day with Vanessa."
"O-Oh," Derrick laughed, a little too loud. "Th-That's too bad..."
"I didn't even think I was going to be able to go, they just didn't need me at work as late as usual, so I lucked out," Malory shrugged. "Funny how it works out sometimes, huh?"
Derrick squirmed, feeling the damp padding of his diaper between his legs, his sweatpants suddenly seeming so much thinner than usual, so much worse at hiding the bulk of what was underneath. "Y-Yeah," he murmured.
"I'm sorry you came out here," Malory said. "You know I'd love to hang out, normally."
"I-It's no big deal!" he shook his head. "I-I was actually..."
"I can check with Vanessa and see if you can tag along," Malory offered. "She might not say yes, but since you're here anyway..."
Derrick's eyes opened wide. Vanessa was very pretty, and had always seemed very intimidating to Derrick... Not that Malory wasn't pretty, but he'd known her for so long, and they'd been best friends for so long, that he no longer saw her in quite the same way. Even though both he and Vanessa had been friends with Malory at the same time in school, he'd never had the guts to actually speak to Vanessa directly. She was the last person he'd want to be anywhere near right now.
"I-I don't want to impose," he stammered.
"Well, like I said, she might not agree," Malory reminded him, stepping into the house and looking down at her phone, starting to type. "Can't hurt to try!"
Derrick watched her go, then stared up at Nanny, bewildered. "Didn't you get my message?" she hissed quietly, so Malory wouldn't overhear.
He shook his head, taking his phone out of his pocket, remembering, finally, the notification he'd gotten. "I-I was driving," he explained as he looked at it.
'Malory is here,' it read. 'She's about to leave again, but you might want to wait an extra ten or fifteen minutes, to be safe.'
He blushed, wiggling in his wet pants, wishing he'd looked just a few minutes earlier. All he could do now was hope that Vanessa, indeed, decided that she wanted a true girl's day, that Malory didn't insist on bringing him along...
