The Summer of Shelby - Chapter 2
🕑 Added 2023-08-20 12:00:01 +0000 UTCShelby's heart skipped a beat when she picked up her phone to see who had messaged her, saw Felicia's name on her screen. She wasn't sure why, exactly... Probably because Felicia was the only person who knew her secret, who could, if she wanted, tell everyone. Maybe she already had. Maybe it had been an act, when she'd found Shelby, and as soon as she'd gotten home, she'd started texting the whole town, and she was letting Shelby know now that she was an outcast, that everybody she knew from school would instantly mock her the moment they saw her out and about, would know that she was a dumb diaper baby...
But, of course, that wasn't what the message said. In fact, it wasn't one message at all, it was a whole series of them that started with a cheerful, 'Hey, Shelbs!' and went on from there.
'I've been thinking, and you definitely need some rules. Little girls like you can't just run around and do whatever they want! If you're too small to be trusted to keep your diapers dry, you're too small for that. Since your Mommy and Daddy don't know, and can't make them for you, I guess it's up to your babysitter. So, here goes:
'#1, and most important, you have to wear diapers at all times. I don't care how much you fuss and whine and pout, your big girl panties are off-limits from now on.'
Shelby let out a tiny gasp as she read it, as if Felicia had been there, telling her that in person. That was, in all honesty, what she had wanted somebody to tell her, to make her do, had fantasized about. It could certainly make things difficult for her in some ways, yet the thought of it, of spending the whole rest of the summer diapered... If anything, she was slightly disappointed Felicia wasn't here in person to see that she was already disobeying and chastise her gently as she walked over to her dresser, pulling open the second shelf from the bottom, pushing aside the clothes Shelby had strewn there to disguise the diapers laid out in a neat little row in the back.
Instead, it seemed that Shelby was going to have to do it herself. She was anxious to see what the other rules were, could see there were several more waiting for her, but it only felt right for her to read them while she was properly Pampered. She hopped off her bed, letting her skirt drop to the floor, peeling off her panties, both giddy with anticipation and shaking ever so slightly from her nerves as she thought about how that would be the last time, for the summer, that she would be wearing them. She went to collect a diaper and her baby powder, bringing them back to her bed.
Her eyes darted over to her bedroom door, ensuring that she had, indeed, remembered to lock it. She had, yet, somehow, she was positive that her parents were going to barge in anyway, find her like this... She was going to have to get over that fear, she realized. If she was in diapers for the whole summer, that included around them. She paused, sitting on her bed, diaper spread out beneath her, biting her bottom lip.
Could she keep this a secret until she left for college? Was she sneaky enough for that? It was one thing, doing it during the day when she knew they wouldn't be there, and even then, she was always sure that, at any moment, they could show up, having forgotten something, or having been let off early from work. It was something else altogether wearing around them, practically flaunting it...
But... That was the rule, wasn't it? She wasn't choosing to do this... Felicia had chosen for her. That made it so much easier to convince herself, to get her to take a deep breath and open up the baby powder, sprinkling it on before leaning back, tugging the diaper up between her legs. Felicia wouldn't make her do it if she didn't think she could handle it. Felicia was the best, coolest babysitter she'd ever had - though, it helped her case that she was basically the only one Shelby'd had who wasn't an old lady - and she had so seamlessly slid back into her role... Shelby would have done anything she'd asked when she was younger, and she was dressing, and acting, like she was younger again, so it just seemed right to follow the older girl's rules.
"There," she said quietly, fastening the final tape, sitting up and wiggling her bottom. She hopped down off her bed, her diaper feeling suddenly so much thicker, so much harder to walk properly in, to keep hidden, than it had before, now that she knew how much of both she'd be doing from now on... It was too late now, though. She waddled over to her discarded panties, lying in a heap on the floor, started to bend down to pick them up.
She stopped herself with a blush, decided, instead, to squat, the way that very little kids usually did, without the coordination - or perhaps experience to know how - to bend over. And that was what she was now, wasn't it? A very little kid? Squatting down to fetch the panties definitely made her feel like one, and brought to mind the question Felicia had asked her about whether she used her diaper for more than wetting. If she was in diapers all the time for the rest of the summer... Did that answer it for her? Was Felicia going to make her mess herself, too?!
She carried her panties over to her hamper, dropping them in and letting the lid fall shut over top of them. That was that, Shelby thought. They were gone now, and they weren't coming back until the fall.
She toddled back to her bed, sitting down with a crinkle and picking up her phone, finally ready to see what the rest of her rules were. '#2. Growing girls like you need plenty of rest, so your bedtime is at 8 pm sharp.'
"Ugh!" Shelby kicked her feet, groaning out loud, as if Felicia was there to see her protest. She'd had to fight so hard, once she started high school, to make her parents see that she didn't need a bedtime anymore, and now she was getting one again, much earlier than it had been in years... And much sooner than she'd like, giving her little time to finish reading her rules so she could get ready to tuck herself in.
'#3. Your parents are now Mommy and Daddy again, and you are to refer to them as such. No more big girl words at all, in fact. If you learned it in middle school or later, I want you to erase it from your vocabulary. That should really help with #4, which is that if you're around people you don't know, you are to pretend to be younger than you really are. You can decide how much younger as you see what works, but you definitely aren't going to be telling them you're a high school graduate, or acting like one... And probably not a high schooler at all. You're going to tell them, and act like, you are as young as you think you can pull off with them.'
It was a lot to take in, a lot to think about. Part of her was almost glad for the early bedtime, as that would limit the amount of time she had to spend around her parents, and she already had quite a few diapers - and they were only available online anyway, as far as she knew - so she wouldn't have to go pick up more at the store anytime soon, risk running into someone she didn't know and have to act like a kid...
She did like the idea of doing that, though, and it made her feel all tingly as she put on her PJs for the night, went to brush her teeth, nervously skittering down the hall to the bathroom and back, hoping she wouldn't run into her mom or dad. She snapped a picture of herself lying in bed, the waistband of her pajamas shorts pulled down to show off her diaper better, and sent it to Felicia.
'Night-night, 'Licia,' she wrote. She stared at the picture for a moment or two before she hit send, marveling at how infantile she looked, how thoroughly, even from just over the phone, Felicia had turned her into a toddler. It was hard to believe it was her... She blushed, pressing her thighs together, feeling the bulk of the padding, listening to the crinkles, cementing in her mind that the little girl in the picture was, indeed, her, that she was the one snugly in bed far before the sun had set, thickly diapered, teeth freshly brushed and face scrubbed. And this was only the start! She didn't have to be - couldn't be, according to her babysitter's rules - a big girl again for months!
'Goodnight, Shelby,' Felicia replied dutifully, well before the girl's bedtime. 'Now go plug your phone in at your desk so you aren't tempted by it, and go to sleep, little one. No getting out of bed until the morning.'
Felicia knew her well, which just made Shelby feel even more babyish, being thwarted before she had even considered getting around her bedtime by scrolling for a while, like she would have anyway. She did as she was told, however, and climbed back into bed, almost certain she could feel Felicia's loving pat on the seat of her diaper as she did so, beyond excited for the next day, for her first full day of summer babyhood.

I can see her moving in with Felicia or her parents accepting abdl thing and have felicia as her babysitter/mommy cause can't trust babies alone
