CYOA: The Exchange Student - Chapter 16 (Story)

Anna knew that, realistically, she would have plenty of opportunities to try it out later, perhaps at more convenient, private times, but everything had been happening so quickly... She'd been having so many first experiences today, and, in a way, it only felt appropriate to have one last one to finish up.
"I-I'll go wait in Karissa's room," Anna told Mrs. Florez. "Th-Thank you..."
Mrs. Florez nodded, looking maybe a bit surprised, yet unbothered. "Of course, dear," she said. "You can come use the bathroom in here if you'd like. Or, if you use the other, come see me when you're done, all right?"
"A-All right," Anna agreed, feeling her cheeks warming up, knowing that she had no intention of doing that. She wasn't even going to make an effort to get to either bathroom on time... She was going to be using her diaper.
She toddled back to Karissa's bedroom, the feeling of the Pamper beneath the childish PJs and the fullness in her stomach - whether it was her imagination, being able to notice it so soon, or not - making her head spin with the humiliation of it, the babyishness. Karissa took one look at her and sighed. "You don't have to wear everything she picks out for you," she said. "I know you're trying to be nice, but you can tell her no. She's just excited that all the junk she kept up in the attic when I told her she should give it all away is finally coming in handy again."
Anna was tempted to give in, to agree, to play it off like she hated it. Karissa might think that was cooler, or, more mature... She definitely wasn't going to admit that it was the exact opposite, though it seemed disingenuous to simply go along with the girl. "I don't think it's that bad," she shrugged. "Plus, if I have to go to kindergarten, I need to get used to dressing like this."
"Huh," Karissa blinked. "Yeah, I guess you have a point there. They'd definitely think it was weird if you dressed like you were our age."
Anna smiled, proud of herself for coming up with that, for justifying it without giving away why she actually enjoyed getting to wear such childish things, so much so that she didn't expect Karissa's next response. "Though I suppose you didn't really dress like that anyway."
Face warming again, Anna started to open her mouth to deny it, before recalling what she'd been wearing on the plane, when she'd first met Karissa. She could pretend she was dressing immaturely for the sake of a cover story all she wanted, but she had been in a onesie before the notion of attending kindergarten had been forced on her.
"I-I like cute stuff," she said.
"It's a good thing you do," Karissa told her. "I have a feeling Mom has plenty of it for you to wear."
Anna nodded her agreement with that assessment, before, finally, feeling the first actual cramp. She swallowed a gasp, fidgeting in place, the pain, brief as it was, making it obvious to her that everything earlier really had been in her imagination after all. This was real... She squirmed, staring up at Karissa, unable to shake the sensation that she was shrinking, becoming more and more babyish the closer she got to fulfilling her plan. She could change her mind, rush off to the toilet... She wasn't going to do that, though.
"Y-Yeah," she replied dreamily. "I-I, uh... I think I'm gonna go ahead and lie down..."
Thankfully, Karissa didn't find that strange, at least not enough to comment on it. "All right," she chirped. "Do you want the light off?"
"I-I don't want to interrupt, if you're not..." A pang of guilt ran through Anna at cutting Karissa's evening short when she wouldn't even have been ready for bed herself quite yet, if not for the trouble brewing in her tummy.
"No, it's fine," Karissa assured her. "I probably ought to go to sleep soon, too. Goodnight, Anna."
"Goodnight," Anna answered, walking over to her bed, looking at it for a moment, wiggling her padded backside, knowing that, while she technically could change her mind, could get up and rush to the toilet, she wasn't going to. Once she laid down, pulled the covers up over herself, she was committing. Even if she did get scared at the thought, it would likely be too late for her to do anything about it... If she did get up, there was a good chance she wouldn't make it in time, and that would be even more embarrassing...
She took a deep breath and sat down, listening to her diaper crinkle, feet dangling beneath her, feeling, for an instant, like she was on the edge of a diving board rather than a bed, ready to take a plunge she didn't know if she was ready for or not. She still remembered being a little girl, learning how to swim, being so scared to jump off the board into the water at the end of the course. The pool looking so far beneath her from up there, and so deep... And it wasn't like she would ever have to be able to dive to enjoy the rest of swimming, no matter how much the instructor tried to talk her into it, tell her how easy and fun it was. It wasn't that Anna didn't believe them, that she wasn't jealous of all the other kids she'd seen do it before her. She was just too scared.
There was nobody here to talk her into it now; nobody other than herself. Everyone else would have told her to be a big girl, to go use the potty. The idea of this seemed so fun, so freeing, but she was scared again, scared of how Karissa and Mrs. Florez would react, if they'd make fun of her, if they'd see through her lies...
She wasn't going to chicken out this time, however. She pulled her legs up onto the bed, lying down, folding the covers over top of herself as the lights switched off. In the darkness, she smiled, nestling in, so cozy in her Pampers, so ready to sleep like a baby...
There was only one thing she had to do first, as she was reminded by another cramp. She bit her bottom lip, wriggling. Should she do it now, get it over with? She didn't want the suppositories to make her too uncomfortable... But she was curious what they would feel like, if she let them go on, push her to the point of no return... And she knew she might need that to make her actually go through with it.
As her eyes adjusted to the dark, she was able to see a little more, make out the shape of Karissa getting into PJs of her own across the room, though once she realized that was what was going on, she blushed, turned over, hoping that Karissa didn't hear her diaper crinkling when she did. Not that the other girl would likely have deduced the reason for the movement, assuming it was that rather than Anna simply attempting to find the right position to fall asleep in, but the thought still made Anna blush.
Looking at the wall did make it easier for her to pretend she was alone, even if there was no escaping the fact that she was in Karissa's bedroom, and not the bathroom, lying down and not sitting up, both helping to keep her aware of how babyish what she was doing was. Only a baby would poop her pants at all, much less while she was in bed...
It also make it more difficult to know how much time had passed, the alarm clock behind her, along with the rest of the room. She didn't know how long the suppositories were supposed to take to work, either, to be fair, when she ought to expect the inevitable. She did get a hint, however, when she heard a knock at the door.
She froze, curling up tighter under the covers, listening to Karissa open the door. "Oh," Mrs. Florez said, keeping her voice quiet. "Are you two asleep already?"
"I'm getting there," Karissa told her. "I think Anna is."
Anna gulped, hearing something that might have been light footsteps, not daring to sneak a glimpse to see if she was right. Instead, she clamped her eyes shut, just in time to hear Mrs. Florez's voice right over her. "Silly, sleepy girl," she said, rubbing Anna's back, sounding almost disappointed... Or was Anna imagining that? Was she going to ruin everything for her? Was she going to make her get up and use the toilet?! Anna wouldn't be able to tell her no, not without a good explanation, and her only other option would be to pretend it was too late, mess herself in front of the two of them...
She flinched, feeling the woman's hand move down to the seat of her diaper. "I had some soaker pads I found that I was going to have her use for overnight," she told Karissa. "I suppose we'll see if she needs them or not tonight, huh? I thought they'd be a nice surprise for her anyway, so she definitely wouldn't have to worry about leaking. But I guess if I wind up having to wash the sheets in the morning, it isn't the end of the world."
Anna's heart began to beat faster and faster the longer Mrs. Florez's hand stayed on her diaper, terrified that a cramp was going to come and she was going to start filling it up while she was touching it. Maybe she was waiting for that so she could get her cleaned up and back to bed. She also couldn't help wondering if, assuming that wasn't her plan, Mrs. Florez was going to say something, tell Karissa about the suppositories, warn her...
"All right," Mrs. Florez whispered, giving Anna's diaper one last pat. "Sweet dreams, you two."
Anna swallowed a sigh of relief, hearing the door close again. She did still have the option to go get changed afterwards, if she wanted... But now, she could also choose not to, claim, in the morning, that she'd been so exhausted she'd slept through the whole thing.
If not for the increasing discomfort leading up to it, it seemed very possible, once it happened. She couldn't help pondering if - had she been able to genuinely drift off early on - she could have done that, could have taken the suppositories, then woken up in a dirty diaper. That would have been extremely embarrassing...
But was it more embarrassing than being awake for it? For groaning as quietly as she could manage as she squirmed through a cramp, wondering if she ought to give up, if the suppositories didn't, in fact, make in uncontrollable, just unbearable before realizing, suddenly, as she wriggled in place and felt something unusual in her pants, something thick and mushy, that it had already begun?
Almost without thinking, she plunged her thumb into her mouth, quieting herself as she began to softly grunt, body working, pushing. She hoped the glow of her cheeks wasn't visible in the darkness as she experienced her diaper slowly swelling, growing to accommodate the mess she was making in it. It was too late to make a difference now, her padding irrevocably soiled, but she did try to stop it, her blush intensifying as she instantly failed, the mass only continuing to expand around her bottom.
Here she was, she told herself, lying in bed in these childish PJs, sucking her thumb and pooping her Pampers, utterly incapable of stopping, or even slowing, the humiliating mudslide. She deserved to be going to kindergarten next week, instead of high school... If anything, that was too mature for her! Only a true toddler would be doing this, would have chosen to let all of this happen... So that must be what she was...
She felt her bladder let go as she finished up, had neither the strength nor the will to attempt to stop it. She snuggled under the blankets, overwhelmed at the experience, feeling the mushy load following her every move, inescapable, a constant reminder of what she'd done, of what she was. She could, theoretically, have gotten up and toddled to Mrs. Florez's room to ask for a change... But there was no way she was going to do that. She wasn't confident her legs would even work right now... And she wanted to know what it was like to wake up like this, to start the first full day of her temporary life here, in this new country, in a full diaper.
She only dared to wiggle in place for a while, not wanting Karissa to see her moving too much, but before long, she couldn't resist, had to reach back, press her hand to the lumpy seat of her diaper, through the covers and her PJ shorts, marvel at the size of it, give it a press. She giggled quietly as it squished, making her feel that much more infantile. She'd really filled her diaper right to the brim, and now she was stuck in her mushy pants until morning... Not that she was going to complain. She was very tempted to sit up all the way, flat on her bottom; unfortunately, that was too risky, too big of a movement. And, as tingly as she was feeling between her legs, she didn't dare reach down there, either, definitely not want Karissa to catch her touching herself with her diaper in this state.
The excitement of it all made her worry she wouldn't be able to fall asleep anytime soon, but it happened sooner than she expected, whether that was thanks to the exertion, or how babyish the end result made her feel. She vaguely thought to herself that she ought to try to wake up early, to be sure she was up before anyone else, though by the time that occurred to her, she was already drifting off, too sleepy to be able to guarantee that the plan had sunken in.
