Little Lucy
🕑 Added 2023-01-30 13:00:05 +0000 UTCHere's this month's Community Story!
It had started out as a joke, a last-ditch effort. She still wasn't sure how it had happened, how the mistake had been made initially, why the company had sent her the first pacifier, but, at that point, she'd had nothing else to do, nothing else to blog about. She'd considered making a rant about it, and in her opinion, she would have been totally justified in ripping the company apart.
Instead, she went in another direction. She still remembered how that video had gone, even though she'd improvised most of it in the moment. "Hey, guys, pals, and pals!" she'd waved to the camera. "I have something really special to show to you today!" She'd held out the box, decked out in a ribbon, trying her best to make it seem like something fancy, jewelry or lingerie. "I've been waiting on this for a long time! Trust me, I've tried out a lot like it, but this one promises to be the best ever!"
She'd taken her time untying the ribbon, opening the box's lid, acting pleasantly surprised at what she saw inside, rather than annoyed, and a bit disgusted, the way she'd actually been the first time she'd seen it. "Oh. My. God. It's perfect!" She picked it up, and, on a whim, slid it into her mouth, something she'd certainly never intended to do. "Oh, yeah, that's just the right size," she mumbled around it. "This ought to keep me from whining while I'm sitting on my potty!"
The video had cut off there, because she'd burst out laughing, and it didn't feel worth it to bother with a second take. On a whim, when she uploaded it, she changed her channel name, since it wasn't like she had that many fans anyway, leaning into the joke by making it Little Lucy, editing her About page to add in the line, 'Days without an accident: 0.' Nobody, she was positive, would ever see it.
And then, to her shock, views had taken off, and she started to get more products to unbox and show off. Given the way her pacifier video had ended, and what she'd put in her About page, she supposed she couldn't be offended when one of the first was a pink, plastic potty chair. Most of the others had been cute clothes and accessories, that sort of thing, stuff she could actually use, and would... She should have stuck with those, ignored the potty, but it fit too well into her joke, and she couldn't help herself.
"This is so much more comfy than my old one!" she'd claimed, sitting on the chair, fully clothed, of course. "With this, and my paci, I could sit here all day!" She'd smiled, bouncing in place, then widened her eyes. "Oh, no! I forgot to take my pants off! Oh, well... Guess I'll just be in potty training a little longer! I don't mind, as long as I have this potty!"
It was so stupid, but she couldn't deny that it brought in an audience... She started slipping in more and more references to her potty training to other videos, changing her 'Days without an accident' line periodically. It was inevitable, probably, that she was eventually sent a pair of custom-made cloth training panties, 'Little Lucy' embroidered around the waistband, so thick and babyish compared to actual underwear...
She had to gush about them, pretend they were just as comfortable as the real thing. "And they hold so much!" she'd said. "I-I mean, not that I've tested it or anything... They're so adorable, too! I wish I could show them off, but I'm a proper young lady who was taught never to flash her panties in public! Then again... This is only between us, right?" She'd given the camera a wink, lifting her skirt before acting shocked. "Oh, no! Have I been doing this whole vlog in wet pants?! I guess that shows how good they are, I didn't even notice!"
She'd poured water into them before she'd started, obviously, and felt the wet cloth squelching between her thighs the whole time... A perfect escalation for her joke, she'd thought, and also the end of it, as far as she was concerned...
But not, apparently, anyone else. That was when the diapers had begun to arrive, far more brands than she'd ever imagined existed for adults, in so many prints and thicknesses. That was too far... She'd had to film a whole video to address it, taking a more serious, mature tone, up until she opened up the cabinet where she kept all the diapers she'd been sent.
"You have to stop sending these!" she'd demanded, stomping her foot. "I've told you, again and again, I am in potty training! I don't wear diapers anymore, and I'm never gonna, so stop it!"
She continued to refuse to review any of the diapers, but that didn't stop them from arriving, if anything more quickly, with extra pacifier and paddles in the package because of her 'tantrum.' She knew making any more of a fuss about it publicly was going to make it worse, so she ignored it as best she could.
People in the comments absolutely loved pointing out when the camera caught a glimpse of the corner of a diaper package she hadn't shoved away in the cabinet yet, or speculating if she had one under her clothes, no matter what she was talking about. She couldn't even be mad at them... She had encouraged this, after all, and as embarrassing as it was, engagement was engagement, and she was too far into this gimmick to back out easily.
At least, not until the daycare contacted her. "We would love to sponsor you," they'd told her. "We're starting up a new potty training program for older kids, and we thought you would be a perfect spokeswoman for it."
"So, like... You want me to be in ads and stuff?" she'd asked, confused.
"No, no... We want you to enroll. We can do ads as well, but we'd like you to do a video series about the process, to show older kids that it isn't so scary."
Lucy had come close to giving away the game, telling them that she was, of course, not actually in potty training... She stopped herself short, however. Maybe this was what she'd been looking for... If she went through this program, she could say it had done its job and potty trained her at last, and then she could put that running joke to bed. She'd built up quite the audience now, and this might be the key to transitioning back to more normal, grown-up stuff like she'd started with, without isolating everyone who knew her only as 'Little Lucy.' The terms seemed more than fair, too... One video a day, which would help her channel as well, and she had to abide by all the rules of the program. Considering her potty training was perfectly fine, that shouldn't be a problem, either.
They wanted to shoot the ads first, so, reluctantly, Lucy put on some of her custom trainers and headed to the daycare, where, pleasingly, she was treated like a celebrity, lots of people rushing around her to do her makeup, to compliment her, tell her how much they loved her videos. She felt, for the first time, like a real star, not like she was an imposter. Even the other model seemed impressed by her, despite Lucy feeling like the woman was so much prettier than her, and more mature looking.
"So, are you going to be a worker here or what?" Lucy asked when they had a moment together.
The other model chuckled. "I wish," she rolled her eyes, opening up the robe she was wearing. Lucy felt the air go out of her lungs in a burst, her own cheeks burning as she saw what the woman's wardrobe was: a bra and a diaper.
"W-Wait, but..." Lucy's head spun. "Wh-Why? D-Do you...?"
"No, no," the model shook her head. "I'm not in potty training. That's what this program is for, though... Didn't they tell you? It's for older people, mostly."
"I-I know," Lucy said. "I assumed that meant, like, five year olds..."
"Maybe some," the model shrugged. "I think it's mostly for teenagers, or even twenty-somethings, who, you know... Are like you. They never quite mastered it, so they need some help."
"B-But I don't!" Lucy blurted out, not wanting to give the fib at the center of her fame away, yet also not wanting this other woman to think of her like that.
"Whatever you say," the model patted her on the head. "Oh, looks like we're being called over."
She slipped out of her robe, Lucy blushing again as she followed her over to where the lights and camera were set up. She did feel a bit better as the shoot started, getting to be the more mature one, despite her reputation online... Of course, that was what they were banking on, she knew. They were showing her as more mature, using her as an example for what the program could do, because her audience 'knew' where she was starting from, that she'd begun as someone who couldn't keep her pants dry, and now, in the photos, she was pretending to take care of this other woman in full-on diapers.
She was glad the roles weren't reversed, but the whole thing was still weird to her. There was no way this was going to work... There couldn't possibly be that many, if any, people her age who needed a program like this! Were there?
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
There certainly weren't to start. She dressed up cute anyway, for the videos, but there was barely anyone else with her in the room the daycare had set aside for the program, and the rest were all workers. It was definitely aimed at an older clientele, with more TVs and video game consoles than blocks and dollhouses, and she had most of it to herself. If nothing else, it was a chill place to go hang out, with only an occasional interruption as a worker came over to ask if she wanted to try using the toilet, or offer her a snack, and she almost didn't want the marketing campaign to work so she could keep it that way.
The first couple new 'students' were fans, girls who lived nearby and loved her videos, who had even ordered their own custom trainers to match hers. They only stayed for a day or so each, though, after the first, she'd realized she needed to do a little work to keep them happy. That one had seemed disappointed that, every time Lucy got checked, she was dry, and that her chart was filled with only smiley faces. She didn't say anything, but Lucy could tell she was beginning to get suspicious by the end of the day, wondering if Lucy was a fake.
After that, if there was anybody else with her, she'd pour some water into her trainers from the sink at least once during the day, when she went into the bathroom. It was embarrassing, yes, sitting around like that until the workers approached her again, but her fans loved it, both in person, and in her videos, and it made her chart look a bit more realistic for someone supposedly in potty training. Thankfully, the workers let her take care of cleaning herself up, so long as she didn't ask for help, so they never knew.
Before long, however, as the video series on her channel grew longer, and the ad was circulated more, there began to be more students, a girl and a guy. She'd assumed they were fans, too, at first; they were easily college aged, so there was no way they could be anything else, right?
"Hi, there," she'd smiled, walking over to introduce herself, in case they were too shy to come up to her. "You want a selfie, or..?"
"Ew, no," the girl wrinkled her nose. "Go away... I'm only here because my mom saw your stupid videos and said she was tired of having to do so much laundry for me."
"Yeah," the guy added. "My girlfriend told me she was going to break up with me if I didn't graduate from this stupid program, because she was sick of my dirty clothes stinking up my dorm room."
"Wait," Lucy blinked, unable to help herself. "You guys actually need to be potty trained? I didn't think anyone our age..." She corrected herself as she saw their incredulous looks. "I-I didn't think anyone ELSE our age would need this."
Whether that worked or not was hard to say, since they hadn't seemed too pleased with her to begin with. She saw them whispering to one another more and more, watching her like a hawk, paying close attention to her chart.
And then, one day during naptime, she woke to a shock. Naps weren't mandatory for the program, but she did like them, even if the daycare hadn't invested in proper beds for them yet, using, instead, some of their largest old cribs from some of the younger students. They were more than big enough for Lucy, however, and the workers kept the sides down, so she had no problem getting out on her own and heading to the bathroom afterwards.
This time, she wasn't so lucky. As soon as her eyes opened up, she saw the bars, far higher than they ought to have been. "Hey," she frowned drowsily, getting to her knees, tugging at the side of the crib, her heart pounding a bit faster when they refused to budge. "H-Hey! Somebody open this!"
She'd never even seen anyone raise the side up, except perhaps at the photo shoot for the ad, when she'd been too excited to pay attention, so she had no idea how the latch worked, where it was, and the bars were high enough that she wasn't confident in her ability to climb over them, much less jump to the floor from the top. Unfortunately, her bladder was feeling very full, and was used to being allowed to empty itself right after she woke up.
"Let me out!" she tried again desperately; before she got an answer, to her horror, she felt a warm trickling in her trainers. "No, no, no," she whimpered, squeezing her thighs together, head swimming, unable to believe what was happening. She was having a genuine accident, after all this time! And, try as she might, she couldn't stop it... It was so much bigger than she'd expected, just continuing on and on, soaking her padding, then starting to trickle down her thighs, onto the skirt of her dress, the crib's mattress beneath her...
"Oh, no!" the worker who found her, sniffling and feeling sorry for herself, exclaimed. "I'm so sorry, sweetie... Our new students both needed help at the same time, and we thought you were still asleep! Poor thing... Let's get you cleaned up..."
Lucy was too distraught to think that through, to realize what the woman meant until she was being led over to the adult-sized changing table on the other side of the room, getting stripped out of her outfit. "B-But..." she pouted.
"We have to clean this up," the worker told her, pushing her gently onto her back, sliding her sodden trainers down as well. "These, too. I know this wasn't entirely your fault, dear, but we do have rules about leaks..."
Lucy's eyes widened when she saw what the worker pulled out for her. "N-No!" she whined. "I-I don't wear those!"
But she'd signed a contract, agreeing to participate in the program, and there was no wriggling out of it now. She only got more grumpy when the worker revealed what little the daycare had prepared for extra clothes for people in her size, while her dress was in the washer. She had, of course, not brought any of her own, either, positive she'd never need them. So she was sent back out to the potty training room in a bright pink t-shirt and huge, fluffy, white diaper, bulging and crinkling between her legs as she waddled along, struggling to get used to the added bulk, scowling as she saw the new guy and girl giggling to each other, knowing they were behind this.
Her mood didn't improve when she recalled she hadn't finished her video for the day. She tried to film herself from the chest up only, but she soon realized, like it or not, there were going to be, at the very least, some flashes of what she had on below the waist, and that she'd have to address it. "Guys," she pouted, "they put me back in diapers! I promise, though, it's only temporary... It's okay to have set-backs! The potty training program is designed to help you bounce back! A-And me, too, I guess..."
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
It wasn't temporary, however... She did get to go back to her trainers, but as the number of students in the program grew, so did the number of people annoyed at her for making their parents, or partners, aware of its existence, the first two more than happy to tell them about their plan, to join in on watching her like a hawk, keeping the workers busy with their own trips to the potty whenever they thought she was getting ready to ask for one.
And, despite her 'review' of them, her trainers really didn't hold that much, so if she actually peed her pants, she was probably going to leak, and land herself in diapers. She did bring spare outfits, but since she'd steadfastly refused to wear diapers until then, she was not particularly good at judging how well she could hide the much thicker padding beneath them until it was too late.
Of course, she tried complained to the workers, though it didn't do her much good. "I was gonna go!" she insisted, folding her arms. "Johnny cut in front of me, and Claudia grabbed my sleeve, and..."
She could tell, even before she got a response, that the worker had heard all this before, from much younger students. "If having to wait an extra minute or two is all it takes to make you have an accident," she said condescendingly, "you need some more practice anyway, sweetie." And, to add insult to injury, she slid a pacifier into Lucy's gaping mouth.
Lucy whined, yanked it out. "Aww, but it's your favorite brand, isn't it?" the worker chuckled, Lucy looking at it, blushing, recognizing it as the same kind that had started all this, that she'd reviewed so long ago.
She was put into diapers more and more often, her chart growing more and more humiliating to have to show at the end of every sponsored video, like she'd agreed to do in her contract. The comments began to turn more mocking as well, saying how it didn't seem like the program was working, telling her to go back to diapers full-time where she belonged. She deleted them as quickly as she could, but they were becoming increasingly common until, one day, there was a reply to one before she was able to get rid of it.
'She might not be doing so well,' it read. 'But check out Little Lainey!'
"Who the hell is Little Lainey?" Lucy huffed, typing it into the search bar. She was stunned, when she found the channel, to recognize she knew the girl in it... It was, in fact, the first other girl to be truly enrolled here, having, apparently, decided to ride on Lucy's coattails... And she was doing a good job of it, too, her follower count dangerously close to Lucy's own already.
Thankfully, not everyone was mean to her. She'd have fans come by now and then, and, eventually, one, Tiffany, even joined the program more permanently. "I just love your videos!" she told Lucy. "Let's be friends!"
She was always there to partner up with Lucy on projects, to chat, to offer her homemade cookies when she was upset over winding up in diapers again, or to say good morning, or any other time Lucy wanted some. Lucy did think they tasted a bit strange at first, but she wasn't going to complain too much now that she had somebody on her side, and it didn't take long to get used to it.
Or so she thought. She didn't realize Tiffany was staying by her side constantly, keeping her distracted, to give her less time to notice she had to use the bathroom... She certainly didn't know that the odd taste in the cookies was all the little extras Tiffany was putting into them.
She hadn't dared take a nap since the first incident, but she'd assumed, with Tiffany on her side, it would be okay now. "Just keep an eye out," she requested. "Don't let anyone come into the nap room without a worker, or if they do, follow them and wake me up, all right?"
"No problem," Tiffany smiled. "Whatever you need."
When Lucy woke up, however, the bars were up, and locked... And her tummy was hurting. It had been happening more and more lately, though she'd attributed it to nerves over the talks she'd been getting from the workers, telling her she was doing the worst of any of the students in this program, that if she didn't improve, they might have to demote her, just to follow the rules... The rules she'd agreed to abide by in her contract.
This time, there was something more to it. She couldn't figure out what at first, squirming and wriggling in the crib, unconsciously nursing the pacifier the worker had given her when they'd tucked her in, that same stupid brand everyone thought was her favorite. It was coming from her diaper, definitely... She hadn't felt anything like it before, though, not that she could remember.
Somewhere in the back of her mind, she probably knew what it was, but couldn't accept it; wouldn't accept it. There was no way... Not until she'd positioned herself in the right way, lying on her back, legs pulled up to give her as good a view of the seat of her diaper as she could manage, did it hit her, watching in a mortified daze as she saw a lump slowly forming there.
She was pooping her pants. Slowly but surely, she was filling her diaper with a load of soft, warm mush, and there wasn't a single thing she could do about it. Considering the rest of her record lately, she knew, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that this was the final nail in her coffin.
She went to the owner to plead her case, after a worker found her in the crib, sniffling and feeling sorry for herself, and gave her a change. "Th-They said I have to go to the nursery now!" Lucy pouted. "That wasn't our agreement! I'm s'posed to be getting potty trained!"
"And you failed," the owner replied bluntly. "The rules clearly state what that means. Besides, we have Little Lainey to show off that side of the business now... I think it'll be good to show people what our nursery is like from a first-hand point of view."
"I'm not going to the nursery with a bunch of babies!" Lucy glowered, stomping her feet. "I'm not a baby!"
"No, you aren't," the owner agreed. "You're an adult who signed a contract... A contract that still has six months left on it. Look on the bright side... That's going to give you plenty of time to review all those diapers you've had sitting around your house for so long. That'll be some good extra content for your channel, won't it? You might want to think about re-branding, though... You don't want people to confuse you with Little Lainey. What about Baby Lucy?"
"B-But I came first!" Lucy whined, feeling angry tears begin to wash down her face, only proving further how appropriate that name was for her now, and how untrue it was when she wailed an impotent, "I'm a big girl!" as a worker from the nursery came in to pick her up and carry her, kicking and squealing behind the pacifier the woman pushed into her mouth, to where she belonged.
