"Mommy," Ellanora begged, "please? I promise, I'll get all my chores done first, and get home early, and..."
Her stepsisters looked at each other and giggled, making her blood boil a bit. It was bad enough she was having to do this in the first place... She was a senior in high school, an adult by any measure, except her stepmother's. Desiree had always been cruel to her, though it had only gotten worse after her father had died.
She was getting close to the end, now, however, and once she graduated, she could move anywhere she wanted, and would no longer have to live here, and therefore be subjected to the deluge of rules for people who lived under this roof, which, somehow, only ever seemed to actually be applied to her. And, since she'd no longer have a strict schedule for when she was expected to do all the household chores, she could get a job, afford a place of her own, go out whenever and wherever she wanted...
For the time being, unfortunately, that was not the case, especially not when her stepsisters saw she wanted something. "I don't know, Mom," Maureen shrugged, looking up from her phone. "I heard she got a pretty bad grade on her test today."
"No, I didn't, Mommy!" Ellanora insisted.
It annoyed her that Desiree made her call her Mommy, while her biological daughters didn't have to. It had started right after the marriage, when Ellanora had addressed her by her first name. Desiree had asked her to use 'Mom', and she had refused. After her dad passed away, that had been one of the first rules to be implemented... "You WILL address me more properly," Desiree had declared. "And to help you get used to it, you'll start with 'Mommy', and, after you earn it, you can say 'Mom' or 'Mother.'"
Ellanora still hadn't 'earned' it, and, at this point, she had to assume she never would, that, if Desiree had any actual goal in mind for what would qualify, it was something impossible, or far out of Ellanora's reach.
"Then why don't you show me?" Desiree raised an eyebrow. "If you're already too distracted to perform well in school, I don't want thinking about prom to make things worse."
"It won't!" Ellanora promised, hurrying over to her backpack, catching Maureen's twin, Meera, hunched over it.
She glanced up, without even the dignity to look sheepish about being caught, and said, voice dripping with artificial sweetness, "Were you looking for this?"
"Yes, I was!" Ellanora glared at her, snatching the backpack away. Luckily, she'd anticipated this, had taken to hiding her papers and exams that she did well on in a secret pocket she'd sewn into her backpack, knowing that Desiree wouldn't believe her about them if she didn't see them, and that the twins would delight in making sure she wasn't able to do so. She pulled it out, hurried back over to her stepmother, presenting it smugly. "See?"
"Hmm," Desiree nodded. "Well, that is pretty good, I suppose... And one night out won't put you too behind on your chores... All right, fine. If you can behave yourself until then, you can go. I'll even buy you a dress."
"What?!" Maureen fumed from the sofa.
"Mom!" Meera squealed from the other side of the room.
"I'm buying your dresses, too, remember," Desiree told them. "It's only fair I do the same for our little Ella."
"But it's going to be way past her bedtime!" Maureen grumbled.
"It will be going past her bedtime," Desiree corrected. "That doesn't mean she'll stay past her bedtime."
Ellanora bit her tongue. If things went well, if she was able to hang out with Brendan, her crush, if her stepsisters were distracted enough by their own dates to leave her alone, then she was willing to accept whatever punishment came her way the next morning for breaking curfew.
"And speaking of, it's about your bedtime now, isn't it, Ella?" Ellanora looked over at the clock, saw there were still ten minutes to go until her absurdly early bedtime, but stayed quiet again. She didn't want to give Desiree any reason to change her mind... Even if it meant being gotten ready for bed. She nodded and meekly followed Desiree to her tiny bedroom, standing by as she watched the woman get out her nighttime diaper and changing supplies, too excited about the fact that she'd actually won, that she was actually going to get to go to prom, to be bothered.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Ellanora didn't need the diapers, of course, not really, although she supposed that was one thing she couldn't blame her stepmother for, other than her refusal to believe Ellanora's side of the story over her daughters'.
She wasn't a bedwetter, never had been, that she could remember, anyway, but Maureen and Meera had thought it was funny to tell their mom that they'd heard rumors at school that she was. They'd already claimed Ellanora had been falling asleep during class, which, rather than prompting Desiree to reduce the number of chores she was responsible for, had gotten the woman to change her bedtime so she could get more rest. And after reporting on that newer rumor, they'd reversed the doorknob on Ellanora's room so they could lock her in at night, and ensure that her diaper would be wet by morning. Desiree could see that the doorknob was on the wrong way, though the twins were careful to lock and unlock it so that she wouldn't see that they were using it... That, or she didn't care, or found it amusing.
That was one part of prom night she wasn't looking forward to, coming back home, however late she wound up being, and having to be put straight into a diaper by a probably unhappy Desiree if Ellanora decided to be a rebel and stay out late. It was definitely not how most people imagined their proms ending, but she was still satisfied with the fact she was getting to go at all, even if she was starting to get nervous that Desiree hadn't taken her dress shopping, or had her try anything on, as the night drew closer and closer...
"So," she brought it up finally, knowing time to do so was running out, "about my dress..."
"Oh, you're going to love it!" Desiree told her. "It suits you so well!"
"M-Maybe," Ellanora said uncertainly. "But if I could try it out first to be sure..."
"No, no," Desiree shook her head. "Trust me, a Mommy knows. And don't worry, I have all the accessories and everything you'll need to go with it. You don't have to fret about anything!" That didn't stop Ellanora from doing so, though, perhaps even encouraged it...
For good reason, it seemed, when the night of the prom came, and she still wasn't given the dress. Desiree fussed over the twins first, leaving Ella anxiously dusting the rest of the house, waiting, wondering if it had all been a trick after all.
"All right," Desiree announced, appearing in the living room where Ellanora was working, "Meera chased me out so she could do the finishing touches herself, so let's get you ready!"
"O-Okay, Mommy," Ellanora nodded. She didn't think she was going to need any help, but she didn't want to spoil things now, get Desiree mad at her and make her change her mind about letting her go at all. She followed the woman to her bedroom, standing by, brow furrowing as she saw her take out her changing pad, spreading it on her bed, and then one of her nighttime diapers. "Umm... I-I'm going to the prom, not..."
"Yes, you are," Desiree replied, "unless you start whining now."
Ellanora closed her mouth quickly. It wasn't ideal in the slightest, obviously, but... Well, as hot as Brendan was, she'd barely ever spoken to him. It wasn't like, as magical as tonight might be, they were going to do anything that involved her taking her dress off... She'd just have to be careful about where she let him put his hands if they slow danced together, assuming she was even able to make that happen. At least she was getting to go, she told herself, so there was a shot.
"I spent a lot of money on your dress," Desiree lectured, "and I know dances can be very exciting at your age, so I don't want to risk you getting too worked up and having an accident."
Much as she wanted to say that would never happened, Ellanora simply accepted it. Prom dresses were expensive, she knew, and Desiree had been nice enough to cover the cost... It made sense she would want to protect her investment.
Or so Ellanora thought until she saw it... Then she realized the truth: Desiree was just using this as another excuse to humiliate her.
The dress was absolutely absurd, white and frilly and lacy, with plenty of petticoats to go under the already perilously short skirt. There was a pink pinafore that went over it that was every bit as childish, along with a matching bow for her hair, and white cotton tights and Mary Janes to finish off the look.
That look, the one her stepmother had chosen for her for prom, was apparently that of a toddler, a little girl going off to be a flower girl at a wedding, rather than a high school senior trying to impress her crush.
"Mommy!" she shook her head in shock. "I-I can't... Th-That isn't...!" It was especially harsh, having seen what the twins would be wearing, knowing that they'd dragged their mother to places with actual prom dresses, cute, sexy things that an eighteen year old would be proud to wear, rather than something possibly too immature for even an eighteen month old. "Pl-Please, could I just wear...?" Her mind was racing, searching through her memories of what the nicest thing she had in her closet was.
"Excuse me, young lady?" Desiree crossed her arms. "Are you throwing a tantrum, you ungrateful little brat?"
"N-No!" Ellanora's eyes widened. "I-I just...!"
But there was no changing Desiree's mind once she'd made it up, and Ella had a feeling this was exactly what she'd wanted, how she'd anticipated she would react. In a flash, she had Ellanora over her lap, diaper around the girl's knees as she gave her wiggling bottom a smack. "You're the one who wanted to go to prom so badly!" she lectured. "And now you're complaining because the dress I bought and paid for myself isn't good enough for you?!"
"N-No!" Ellanora shook her head, kicking her feet helplessly. "I-I'm sorry! I-I...!" She squealed as she was given another spank, tears filling her eyes.
"You will be," her stepmother promised. "Go get the hairbrush."
"Th-The...!" Ellanora whimpered.
"Right now!" Desiree barked, pushing her up off of her lap. Obediently, Ellanora waddled out of her room, naked except for the diaper slowly sliding down her legs, having to go past both her stepsisters' rooms to reach the bathroom and fetch the heavy, wooden hairbrush that was going to turn her bottom bright red, that was going to be make it all but impossible for her to sit down when she got to the prom. The girls must have heard the sound of the spanking echoing down the hall, if not the threat itself, because they had their doors open, giggling at the sight of her... And then even harder when they saw her returning with the brush.
Desiree had her sobbing in no time, her backside aching, and the only thing that seemed to put a stop to the punishment was the sound of the doorbell. Her stepmother grabbed her by the ear, pulling her down to the living room, putting her in the corner - thankfully at least pulling her diaper back up, though the signs of her spanking were still clear, peeking out from beneath the padding as she listened to her stepsisters' boyfriends being led inside, snickering as they entered the living room to wait for their dates.
Ellanora squirmed, too mortified to so much as think about moving from the corner now, since doing so would reveal her mostly naked form to them. All she could do was stand there while she heard Maureen and Meera be given their corsages, while Desiree snapped pictures of them, positive that she must be in the background of at least some of them.
Ellanora listened to her stepsisters leave, getting driven off to the dance by their dates, in their sexy dresses, before being led back to her room. She half expected that to be the end of it, for Desiree to make her stay home, but, to her shock, the woman started to dress her up. She didn't dare protest, or fight it, no matter how silly she knew she looked.
There was one last surprise for her, one that Desiree didn't spring on her until they were at the front door, about to head to the car so Ella could be taken to the dance by her stepmother. "And, to make sure you don't get any bright ideas about staying out too late..." Desiree told her, lifting up her skirt and reaching into the rear of her diaper.
Somehow, Ellanore didn't realize what she was doing, perhaps because she couldn't imagine even her wicked stepmother being that cruel, so she let out a squeal as she felt something being pushed into her sore bottom, slowly working its way deeper and deeper inside her. "That suppository ought to ensure you're ready to go in time to be back and tucked in at the appropriate time," Desiree announced smugly, giving the seat of Ella's diaper a pat.
Ellanore groaned, certain she could already feel her stomach rumbling. Was she going to have time to find Brendan, convince him to dance with her, before she had an accident? There was no way she'd have the courage to let him see her afterwards, once she'd filled her diaper up to the size of a pumpkin, the way she always did when her stepmother, or stepsisters, gave her a suppository.
It wasn't fair! Tonight was supposed to be magical, like a fairy tale... Now, as she was being led out to the car, buckled into the backseat as she fidgeted on her throbbing bottom, all she could think about was how she couldn't wait for it to be over.
