Help, Please - Chapter 7
🕑 Added 2023-03-16 12:00:02 +0000 UTCTiffany heard herself grunt into her paci, the only indication anything was going on until she experimentally lowered her bottom to the floor, felt the all-too-familiar squish there. She wasn't particularly alarmed by it - by now, she was getting quite used to the surprise sensation - and it was nice that she'd noticed it this time, anyway... Perhaps that was an indication that she was getting close to being ready to become a big girl again?
That certainly wasn't how it looked from the outside, however, as she sat there on her knees in the middle of a playpen, hunched over her coloring book, wearing a tiny, pink shirt lined with lace and a thick, pink diaper she was in the midst of filling, oblivious to that fact, despite, from what she could tell, being nearly done with the task, until just now. That was good, though... There was definitely a part of her, deep down, that wanted to be a big girl, to get to grow up, like Cassie, but she knew, thanks to what Cassie had told her, the best way to do that was to be the best baby she could be... And this was, indeed, very babyish.
"What are you doing?" Lara sniffed, interrupting Tiffany's thoughts.
Did she really not know?! If anyone would know what this looked like, it would be her... She'd seen Tiffany do it countless times, and done it herself probably almost as many, and even more obviously. Tiffany got to wear dresses and rompers and onesies sometimes that would hide her diapers; Lara was proud to wear nothing over hers unless she absolutely had to.
Lara toddled over from the other side of the playpen, plopping down onto the floor and grabbing the crayon out of Tiffany's hand. "Look at this!" she scolded, shaking her head at the sight of the picture Tiffany had been working on. "Here... Let me show you how it's done!"
Tiffany nodded docilely, sucking quietly on her paci as she stared at the other girl. In a way, things felt the same as they always had; in another, it was almost shocking how much they had changed...

"Yes, ma'am?" Lara poked her head into the living room. "What did you need? Does Tiffany need a change? Last time I checked..."
"Come on in," Cassie told her. "It's okay... She'll be fine for now. I need to talk to you, though."
From her playpen, Tiffany had seen Lara's face shift into a frown, her expression turn crestfallen. "Wh-What did I do?" she asked. "Did I forget..?"
"No, no," Cassie shook her head. "Just go in there with her, all right?"
Lara obeyed, of course, but she still looked uncertain as she opened up the gate to the playpen and stepped inside, closing it behind her, staying at it, peering over the walls at Cassie. "What is it?" she inquired.
"Don't look so sad," Cassie chuckled. "This is good news, Lara... You're getting a promotion!"
Lara's eyes widened. "I-I am?" she sounded surprised.
"You are," Cassie nodded. "Now, you are going to have to keep cleaning for the moment, until I can... find... a new maid, but you're getting so good at that, I know you don't need all day, do you?"
"No, ma'am," Lara shook her head.
"I bet you could get it done, I don't know, during Tiffany's naptime?" Cassie suggested.
Lara hesitated a moment. "I-I think so," she replied.
"I'm sure you can," Cassie said. "Which frees you up the rest of the time to do something even more important... Something with more responsibilities."
Lara couldn't resist glancing over at Tiffany smugly. She didn't speak, but it was obvious she was gloating over being the one chosen for this, the one Cassie recognized as being able to handle whatever the new job was, as opposed to Tiffany, who could only be trusted to play with her dolls and use her diapers. "Great!" she smirked. "What is it, ma'am?"
"I need you," Cassie smiled, "to be Tiffany's big sister, and show her how to be a proper big girl... You know, for when, some day, she's ready for that. She needs an example to show her how to do it... You do such a good job of taking care of the house, and looking after her... What she really needs right now is someone to teach her how a real big girl deals with her lifestyle. Can you do that for me?"
Tiffany pouted, sitting up. "I-I don't need...!" she whined. "I-I thought I was doing...!"
"Shh," Lara patted her on the head. "This little outburst just proves how much help you need."
"It's not an outburst!" Tiffany protested. "I...!"
"I would love to help," Lara cut her off. "See, Tiffany? This is what a big girl does when someone bigger than them asks them to do something... They don't complain and throw a tantrum, they do it."
Tiffany sulked, crossing her arms as Lara and Cassie chuckled at her. "I knew you'd understand," Cassie said. "Thank you, Lara. Now, would you please move your things into Tiffany's room?"
Lara had done as she was told, of course, though that evening, as she was being gotten ready for bed alongside Tiffany, so that she wouldn't wake the girl up by going into their room once her little sister was already asleep, she did speak up. They were, after all, going to be sharing the same bed. "But... Why do I have to be in here, then? We have a whole other room, o-or we could bring my bed in here, and if..."
"Shh," Cassie shook her head. "Don't make me change my mind, Lara. You need to be here with her at all times, like a good big sister. What if she needs some guidance in the middle of the night?"
"I can't even have my own bed?" Lara grumbled.
"Excuse us for a moment," Cassie said to Tiffany. "I need to have a word with Lara."
They'd vanished for a few minutes, and when they returned, Lara had changed her tune. "You were right, ma'am," she admitted. "I need to stay with my baby sister as much as possible. I'm sorry."
"You see, Tiffany?" Cassie grinned. "She does whatever her Mommy tells her... That's what a big girl does."

They'd roomed together ever since, Lara becoming even more insufferable now that she was a constant companion, always trying to turn everything into some kind of lesson, some excuse to show that she knew better than Tiffany.
Just that morning, when getting ready for the day, she'd let Tiffany choose an outfit, ushering her to her closet and standing behind her. "Go on," she'd urged. "Whatever you want!"
It was a safe choice for her, or so Tiffany had assumed. Everything was so babyish... They theoretically shared the closet, like they did the rest of the room, but since she didn't wear anything over her diaper usually, all of Lara's things had stayed behind in her old room. "This?" Tiffany had suggested, pointing at a onesie.
Lara had rolled her eyes with a sigh. "No, silly," she'd reprimanded her. "A real big girl has nothing to hide... She should always be ready to show off her diaper."
Tiffany had known she was trying to push her into dressing like her, in only a diaper, but, even in her desire to be the best baby she could, she was too shy for that, which was why she'd picked out the shirt. "That's a little better," Lara had said, helping her into it, giving her a kiss on the top of the head. "I guess I can't expect you to understand completely right away..."
Even now, as she took over with the coloring book, she had a lecture prepared. "Real big girls always stay in the lines," she told her.
"I was trying!" Tiffany sniffed behind her paci.
"And what is this?" Lara shook her head, Tiffany confused about what she meant until the girl leaned over, picking up Tiffany's bottle. "This is still half full! Real big girls finish their bottles by themselves, without having to be reminded, and they do it within fifteen minutes, so there's less of a chance of them accidentally knocking them over and making a mess!"
With one hand, she pushed the bottle into her own mouth and started to nurse on it, while, with the other, she continued to color, glaring pointedly at Tiffany when she attempted to look away, indicating that she was supposed to watch, see how a big girl ought to do both. It was impressive, Tiffany had to admit... Lara was better at staying in the lines one-handed than she was when she was dedicating all her attention to it...
But that was how it was supposed to be, wasn't it? Tiffany had aspirations of being a big girl, of being able to do that one day... She wasn't now, however. And that was why Cassie must have done this, to help show her how much she was lacking when it came to that...
"There!" Lara announced proudly, setting down the crayon and bottle at the same time. "That's how it's done!" She turned to Tiffany to brag some more, only to change her mind once she saw her face. She sighed and pulled her into a hug. "Don't worry," she assured her. "You'll get it one day!"
"Aww," Tiffany jumped at the sound of Cassie's voice, blushing slightly as she saw the girl standing in the doorway. "You look so cute together..."
"Thank you," Lara replied automatically, giving Tiffany a poke when she stayed quiet, shyly staring at the floor of the playpen.
"I'd ask if you were being good, but I know..." Cassie spoke, pausing for a moment to kneel down. "Oh, there it is! I've been looking for this all day!" She picked up her phone, slipping it into her pocket. "Good thing I lost it here and not outside somewhere, huh? Why didn't you pick it up, Lara?"
"S-Sorry, ma'am," Lara fidgeted. "Tiffany hasn't had her nap yet, so..."
"Ah, I see," Cassie nodded. "I guess I really do need to get another maid to pick up the slack, don't I?" she winked.
"I-If you want me to..." Lara offered frantically, sounding panicked that she was failing to live up to expectations.
"I want you two to get ready for a diaper inspection, now that I have my phone back," Cassie interrupted. Lara grabbed Tiffany by the arm, hauling her to her feet, spinning her around as she turned herself, both of them sticking their diapered bottoms out for Cassie to examine. There was a pause for her to snap a picture, then she began to poke and prod at their rears. "What messy girls I have..."
Tiffany blushed, flustered, unsure of how to react. This was what she was supposed to do, so she was glad she'd had her accident... At the same time, however, she couldn't help wondering if she was ever not going to be the littlest here, the baby of the house... It didn't feel like it, as much as Lara had to teach her.
Including, it seemed, now. "Lara is messier, though, as usual." Cassie declared, giving her a pat on her lumpy backside. "Good work!"
Lara stuck her tongue out at Tiffany. "A real big girl keeps her diapers extra full!" she crowed. "See?" She wheeled around waving her bottom in Tiffany's face while Tiffany squirmed. "It proves they know how to use them properly!"
"I-I did use mine!" Tiffany pouted. "I-I didn't even...!" She paused, growing confused again, not knowing if she ought to be proud that she hadn't been able to tell, to help it at all, or not...
Cassie didn't react, though when Tiffany looked over at her, she saw it was because she was staring at her phone, probably admiring the picture she'd taken, or getting it ready to post online. "I think it's time somebody went down for that nap," Cassie chuckled, putting her phone away again. "Come on, you two."
It was nice, Tiffany thought to herself as she was led back to their room, that Lara had been a little nicer lately, at least, ever since Cassie had 'had a word' with her. More bossy, but nicer, in a way. Lara even curled up with her in their bed, both still in their dirty diapers, to cuddle her until she fell asleep for her nap, when Lara would carefully get up to do her cleaning. Tiffany had to admit, there was a part of her that was glad she wasn't a big girl yet... It sure seemed like a lot of work...
