Compromise - Chapter 31
🕑 Added 2023-02-24 13:00:02 +0000 UTCLizzie's arms tightened across her teddy bear's fluffy chest, panic setting in hard and fast, only amplified by the sound of the first tape being ripped open, the sensation of one wing being tugged around her thigh.
Maybe, she thought lamely, this was her imagination, still. She had plenty of reason to be anxious right now, after all... That could be what was making her stomach churn. But... It had done more than that, hadn't it? She could gaslight herself into believing it wasn't - and Luther seemed like the kind of Amazon who would help her with that, if she spoke up about it in front of him - however, deep down, she knew the truth.
"It's all right, kitten," Heather paused, bending over to kiss her on the forehead, holding there for a moment, staring into Lizzie's eyes, giving her the slightest inquisitive expression. She had, of course, sensed that something was wrong, something was upsetting Lizzie. One signal, one shake of her head, and Heather would find an excuse to get them out of there...
They were here, though. They'd made it in... If Lizzie bailed now, wouldn't it look weird for them to make an exit and come back a few minutes later for no discernible reason? Heather could say she needed to use the restroom herself... Why not leave Lizzie there if she was planning on returning? And it was obvious Lizzie didn't need a change yet, because the girl was just going into her diaper now, and they had all gotten a good view of it, open and clean and fresh, before Heather had started taping it up.
Lizzie gave her pacifier a hard suck, cuddling up behind her teddy bear, bobbing her head ever so slightly, managing as much of a smile as she could under the circumstances, not sure if it was visible past her paci's shield or not. Heather seemed to get the message either way, smiling comfortingly, kissing Lizzie's forehead quickly again, then straightening back up and reaching for the second, and final, tape.
She was going to have to move so, so fast, Lizzie told herself, feeling the diaper stretch snugly around her bottom as her Mommy pulled it tight. The first cramp had been rough... She didn't know how many more she'd be able to stand before... She shuddered, nose wrinkling, not wanting to think about it. She had to get the bug planted before then. Afterwards, she couldn't guarantee what her mental state would be, especially considering how she was dressed... She needed her mind to be clear while she worked so she wouldn't make any mistakes that could get her, or Heather, in trouble.
"There we go!" Heather cooed, running her fingers over the tape, smoothing it down into the landing strip, sealing it in place, ensuring Lizzie, on her own, had no hope of getting out of this diaper, certainly not in time to avert disaster. "All diapered up!"
She gave the front of the diaper a crinkly pat before pulling the flaps of the onesie back down, snapping them together around the bulky padding, cradling it close to Lizzie's backside, preventing her from being able to ignore it. Another set of snaps, and the shortalls were reconnected as well, with a larger bulge beneath them leaving zero doubt what she had on underneath, how much of a baby she was.
Mia. She looked just like Mia now, she was positive about that, the sole difference being the state of that diaper... And even that was on the verge of changing. One slip-up, one push, and she might as well be that girl, sitting in a high chair in the middle of a restaurant, obliviously making a mess of herself, both on her outfit, from the pasta she had been eating with her hands, and in her diaper...
"Much better," Luther approved. "There's only one thing I need you to do now, little girl."
Lizzie blinked, surprised at being addressed directly by him. She stared up, trying not to let herself feel too intimidated, despite how gigantic he looked, with her still lying on the floor of his office. It might be in character, but right now, she was more concerned with keeping her mental state steady enough to do her job.
"Come over here and throw away those wet old training panties," he chuckled, nodding at something behind his desk. "I don't need them lying around my office."
"I can do that," Heather offered.
"I'd say it's the least she can do," Luther replied. "And the most, really... From my experience, it's about the biggest responsibility they're capable of handling."
Lizzie knew she should be offended by that - and she was, to a degree - but she didn't have the energy to do anything about it, even if she had been in a position where she could have. She pushed herself to her feet, gulping into her paci as she felt how thick the diaper really was between her legs, how far apart her thighs were being forced, then let go of her teddy with one hand, grabbing her discarded Pull-Up with the other.
She waddled across the office, feeling a pang of anxiety the further she got from Heather, the closer to Luther. Was this all a trick? Did Luther know she was up to something? If he did, if he grabbed her, wanted to do something to her, would Heather be able to get to them in time to stop it? Lizzie had no doubt she would try, but there was only so much she could do...
As she rounded the man's desk, she saw a diaper pail sitting behind it, and he swiveled in his chair, pushing the release button with the toe of his well-polished black dress shoe. The lid popped up, standing open for her to toddle up to it and drop her used Pull-Up inside before it gently shut itself, taking with it the faint, unpleasant odors that had started to waft into her nose as she stood in front of it, cheeks warming, thinking about how she was contributing to them.
A tiny gasp escaped into her paci at the feeling of a hand on the seat of her diaper, giving it a firm pat. Even through the padding, she could sense the difference between it and Heather's hand, and immediately she picked her teddy bear up from where it was dragging along the floor, squeezing it with both arms again as the hand moved to her shoulder, turning her around to face its owner. There had been no question of permission or consent beforehand... Why should he bother? She was a baby, after all... What did she care if somebody else touched her diaper?
"You should be sure to thank your Mommy," he told her, the words carrying the weight of an order more than a suggestion. "Any time she's nice enough to change you. Especially here, because if she hadn't done it... I would have."
Lizzie felt herself growing a little weak in the knees as she nodded. If it weren't for how she was dressed, what she knew was brewing in her tummy, she didn't think she'd be so daunted by him; then again, she wasn't positive about that one way or the other. There would definitely have been some of that, it was just a matter of how severe it would be. At the moment, it was difficult to remind herself that she was actually an adult, that she wasn't the overgrown child he clearly saw her as, going purely from the tone of his voice, the condescending look in his eyes, both of which made it exceedingly obvious that, next to him, she might as well have been a two-year-old. She had about as much power as one, compared to him, and her opinion would have meant the same either way.
"Y-Yes, sir," she mumbled, not knowing if he could understand her around the paci's nipple, but assured he had gotten the gist from the way she lowered her eyes, swaying back and forth on the soles of her sneakers meekly.
"What a cutie you are," he said, putting a finger under her chin, pushing it upwards, lifting her face so she looked eyes with him, holding it there so she couldn't escape his gaze as he examined her, like a wolf staring hungrily at a lost lamb. "My little would love to have a play-date with you. Now, then, what do you have to say to me, little girl?"
In that split second, feeling his hand on her, staring up at him, she wasn't sure she wouldn't have confessed to everything, had she not had a pacifier in her mouth, had Heather not been there, her future depending on this, too. If it had been Lizzie, all on her own, she might have cracked, as embarrassing as it was to admit, given all her experience, and she didn't know, for certain, if it was because of him, or if she was particularly vulnerable now, thanks to the churning in her belly.
He chuckled, a haughty laugh absolutely directed at her, one where she was the joke, and he had no intention of sharing the punchline, confident she wouldn't be able to understand it if he did. He leaned down, keeping his eyes fixed on hers as his head lowered, growing closer, looming like an ominous moon over her, a fresh reminder of how much smaller than him she was.
"I let you stay in my office," he told her, "rather than sending you off to the daycare where you belong. And I let you use my diaper pail to get rid of those icky, wet training panties you clearly don't deserve yet anyway. So, what do you say, little girl?"
Finally, the gears in her mind turned enough to tell her what he wanted, what would get her away from him, and back to her Mommy. "Th-Thank..." she started, grateful for the muffling of her paci to keep her from having to sound too sincere.
And then, to her horror, another cramp hit, even worse than the first, and brought with it something else. Her eyes widened as she felt something happening in her pants, a sudden lump beginning to form, pushing the seat of her diaper outwards slightly before the snug embrace of the onesie and shortalls wrapped around the padding halted it.
Her head began to spin, not wanting to accept what was going on, despite knowing exactly what it was. She had to be wrong... It had to be something else... There was no way she was... That she had started to...
"What was that?" Luther asked, fingers closing tighter around her chin as she tried to look away.
"She said thank you," Heather spoke up. "Come on, Lizzie, sweetie, come over here and you can draw him a picture to thank him better."
"No, no," Luther grinned, not turning away to glance at Heather, keeping his gaze firmly on Lizzie, making her even more certain he knew what she'd done. "I want to hear it from her. Go on."
Lizzie opened her mouth, feeling like she was in the middle of some sort of dream - or, more appropriately, nightmare - as she fought to speak, to obey, only to hear a soft grunt emerge instead, her muscles betraying her, giving a push. She whimpered, the lump in her pants slowly growing, spreading, oozing across the back of her diaper, the plastic crinkling as it expanded.
She didn't care about her cover, about what she should do to convince Luther she was a baby, and he didn't have to worry about what she was doing while she was in his office... In that moment, all she could think about was making it stop, clenching every muscle she could, squeezing her teddy tight to her chest, teeth implanted into the nipple of her paci as her face scrunched.
But it didn't matter. There was nothing she could do now... Without meaning to, she was, in fact, showing off her babyhood to Luther, proving to him how helpless she was. She was pooping her pants for the first time in decades, in as long as she could remember, and there was not a single thing she could do about it.
Just like Mia.
"What was that?" Luther repeated, obviously toying with her now, knowing very well what the answer was, if he hadn't before. With his experience from his own little, he might have seen the signs, recognized them right away, known before even Lizzie had. Lizzie sniffled, the warm, thick mush continuing to come, to fill her diaper. "What's going on, little Lizzie?"
Finally, he let go of her chin, allowed her to escape his gaze, though any relief she had felt from that was short-lived as he, instead, turned her around, putting one hand on her back and pushing it, bending her over. The other hand moved to the seat of her diaper as the motion sent the next wave of muck into it. As silly as it was, Lizzie almost started to wonder if it was ever going to stop, if she was going to wind up having a blow-out, right in front of Luther.
"What are you doing in your diaper, Lizzie?" he taunted, his hand squeezing, causing the mass to squish and squelch, her nose wrinkling, tears beginning to fill her eyes. "Your diaper that your Mommy thinks you barely even need? Come on, I bet even a silly little girl like you knows the answer to this."
Heather, on the other hand, didn't, over on the other side of the desk, still clearing up the changing pad and supplies dutifully, although she could tell, by now, that something was wrong. "If she doesn't want to..." she spoke, eyes narrowing as she stood up, brushing off her jacket, glaring at Luther, only to pause as she saw over his desk, past it to what was happening on the other side. "Oh, Lizzie," she said quietly, barely loud enough for the girl to hear over the sounds coming from her own mouth, and diaper.
"Oh, it's all right," Luther laughed, giving Lizzie's bottom a swat, flattening the still-growing bulge there again. "I'm just playing... I don't mind! It's perfectly natural!"
He turned Lizzie back around, sending her back to the other side of his desk with another smack on the backside. Dazed, Lizzie took a step or two in that direction, away from him, towards Heather, before stumbling, landing on her hands and knees. She ought to stand up, knew that she could walk, should walk... In the moment, that sounded too difficult, however, like it might as well have been rocket science. All she wanted was her Mommy, so she kept moving, pulling herself along on her hands and knees, crawling, diaper bobbing along behind her, teddy dragging on the floor.
Heather yanked her into a hug as soon as she was in arm's reach, holding her against her chest, careful to keep her arms away from the back of her diaper. "It's okay," she whispered into her ear. "You're okay, Lizzie."
Luther rolled his eyes, leaning back in his chair. "There's no need to make that big a deal out of it," he said. "How many times a day does your Nanny take her to the potty for that? Once you have her in diapers full-time, she'll be doing it even more, I can promise you that. If you encourage her to react this way every time, you're never going to get anything done while you're at home... She'll constantly be whining, and running up to you for..."
"How about you let me take care of my baby the way I want?" Heather snapped at him, also forgetting, for a second, the cover she was trying to maintain.
Lizzie snuggled closer into Heather's chest, a part of her wanting, automatically, to be offended at the way Heather had called her her baby, at how naturally it had come out, while the rest of her felt her bottom wiggling in her diaper, and was given undeniable proof of how accurate that description of her was right now.
"Hey, I'm just giving you some tips," Luther held up his hands. "I know it can be cute when they're so clingy, but it'll get old eventually. I was right about getting her into a diaper, wasn't I? I'm not sure her Pull-Up could have handled that."
He had, Lizzie thought. Had he been able to tell what she was on the verge of, from the moment she'd walked into the office? Or was it pure, dumb luck, thanks to his rule? It felt, now, like a demonstration of how much smarter he was than her, how much more of an adult... And, even, how much more qualified of a caretaker he was than Heather, though Lizzie would never have actually wanted to have him be that for her.
"That's why she's been so upset," Luther declared. "Messy as that diaper is, I bet she was just backed up, not sick... You could probably take her down to the daycare now and let them look after her."
Not the daycare... Not now, not dressed like this, with her diaper so full... She shook her head, Mommy's hand raising up to stroke her hair. "I'm sure her sitter's almost to my apartment already," Heather replied. "I'll just get her changed, and..."
Luther scoffed. "New Mommies... I doubt she's even finished. Besides, isn't there a reason you came in here?"
Heather's eyes flicked down towards Lizzie. "W-Well, of course," she said. "But..."
"Was it just to keep changing her diaper?" he smirked. "Then why don't we get to that, and leave her be?"
Lizzie took a deep breath, making herself pull away from Heather, holding her teddy nearer as a substitute. It was tough, but she knew she had to do this, had to get back to work... This was what the whole day had been geared towards, and Luther definitely knew she was a baby now... She couldn't let this opportunity go to waste.
Heather furrowed her brow with a worried expression, then, seeing Lizzie face, nodded. "Okay," she sighed, as much - if not more - to Lizzie than Luther, kissing the girl on the forehead before standing up, leaving her there on the floor. "So, I had a thought I wanted to run by you..."
Lizzie watched Heather step in front of her, shaking her head, doing her best to clear it. The diaper bag was right there, and already open from where Heather had been putting the supplies back in... She waddled over to it, setting her teddy down, hard as that was to do, so she could pretend she was searching for a different toy, should Luther question what he was doing as she dug down into it, looking for her equipment.
It was, unfortunately, deeper in than she expected, and she was tired from the day she'd had, overwhelmed with all the emotions she'd gone through... Without thinking, she let herself sit down.
Immediately, she saw the error of her way, yet, by then, it no longer mattered. She whimpered into her paci as her bottom sank into the mess in her pants, sending it squishing between her legs, through to any tiny bits of clean padding that had somehow remained until then. She groaned, wriggling in her seat, every movement setting another firework off in her brain, each of them exploding in a shower of colored lights that illuminated to her just how much of a baby she was... Just how much like Mia she was.
The specter of that girl had been chasing her since she'd seen her in the restaurant, since it had occurred to her how similar they were, deep down... And now, it had finally caught up to her. There was, essentially, no difference between them at all, nothing to set them apart. Lizzie was sitting there in her shortalls, and her dirty diaper, exactly the same way Mia had been... They might as well have been twins.
She knew she had something she had to do, something more important, but, in that moment, as she leaned forward again, glancing into the bag she'd been so intent on getting into seconds earlier, the only thing she could think to grab was her teddy bear before settling back on her bottom, feeling the mush squelching beneath her, confirming she'd done the right thing, that she couldn't possibly have needed, or wanted, anything in that moment other than a stuffed animal, and her paci.

I wonder if more of Heather's mama bear side will reveal itself.
