I'm waiting to see if the Try Guys will visit a Los Angeles landfill or talk about single-use plastics and current efforts of some companies to switch to (home) compostable "plastic," recycled plastic, aluminum, glass, and other options. Since less than 9% of plastics are recycled in the U.S. each year and while we used to export plastic recycling to China, they stopped accepting shipments of plastic in 2017, crippling recycling programs in the U.S. because we don't have the infrastructure for recycling all recyclable plastics. Now all forms of recyclable plastic except PET #1 and HDPE #2 are sent to landfill instead or shipped overseas to fill up the landfill of developing countries.
