I was gonna say... so many people were probably pooped on by their moms and just never told about it. It happens a LOT more than people realize, but it's not the first thing people tend to mention when telling birth stories. It's not exactly the most appealing or comforting thing to know about one's birth, that you were shat on moments after exiting the womb.

I'll be honest, I thought birds shot onto eggs to fertilize them too. It wasn't till I read Horton Hatches and Egg to my kid that I figured out where that idea came from! And, much like Eugene, the friend who explained it to me laughed himself sick. He did raise chickens though.

Humans (quite often) poop when they give birth, too. The two actions use a lot of the same muscles and it just kinda happens.
