I hate mince pies. As a kid I thought they were just mini meat pies, so imagine my shock and dismay that it was all sorts of dried fruits! Blarg. I have never tried a meringue pie other than lemon, nor seen one! Now I really want to try the peanut butter meringue!

Oh man, we cask it custard tart here, and it's one of my all time favourites. My mum used to also make baked custard, so no crust, just in a ramekin. Sooooo good. It was especially awesome when you had a sore throat because its get so lovely and cold and it's so smooth.

Becky, we didn't do it for strawberries but we used to dip lemon into sugar then suck on the bits. Wonder if anyone else did that?

Do you guys use apple with rhubarb to give it the sweetness? I've not heard of using just rhubarb alone.
