I was uncomfortable of dogs (not quite scared, but definitely not ok with them) because of a very similar childhood experience. And I had a very similar puppy adoption and raising and somehow now have two dogs that I don't want to imagine being without. Great video; I'm glad to see someone else's dog journey.

I totally relate! I also used to be afraid of dogs. I was attacked by a group of dogs when I was 9 and had to get stitches. Our family got a dog when I was 18 and that helped. Now I have two of my own and volunteer at various rescues.

I appreciate these long-term, thoughtful videos. I only wish Vimeo didn’t start each time by showing several seconds of the beginning and end. It’s an off-putting bug for me.
