Oh, eek. Whenever my nails grow too long, I find that typing feels really disturbing. You are all quite brave. I'll buff my nails so they shine. One day I may get a short-nail version of gels, but I will never have diva nails because AARRRRGHH!

I was a nail-biter ever since I could remember, but I've stopped within the past few years except for when I get to nibble around a broken nail. What I notice now is that my nails break before they can be any level of loveliness, and sometimes they break in crappy painful ways. I wasn't aware clipping nails could be scary. But you're removing a part of your body, so I can see it. Zach, I can also relate to your wanting to retain some of the biting; when I was a kid, I tried to bite my little brother's nails because I ran out of nail. He recoiled in horror, as well he should have.

What a beautiful dream and a horrible nightmare. So many things would be horrible with those nails. I'm editing articles right now ... would I have to type with the tips of my fingernails? What about ripping off the plastic covering of my hazelnut coffee creamer? Would I poke my cat in the eye while petting her? Would I poke ME in the eye? Yes, I think I would.

The contact lens test hit close to home. I can only just do my contacts with short nails. Anytime, my nails get long, it’s just impossible. Also, Zach’s sudden love of holo reminded me of Simply Nailogical. It would’ve been so good if there’d been a crossover vid with her.

I'm 65 years old and have done fake nails only ONCE in my life - hated it - don't know how you got them off - but it hurt like a sumabitch getting them off!! Hats off (nails off?) to all four of you!!
