I love dogs so this just topped off my day... actually no it didn't top off my day... taking my dog Harvey out for breakfast and playing with him made my day. Pesto reminds me of Harvey that's possibly why I have a soft spot for him xx

Can we compare photos of Eugene seducing Bowie ( I know I wanted to jump in bed) and Zach spooning Bowie postcoital? Also Maggie, dog whisperer who? Ned trying to pick up dog waste with a leaf and stick, then he blames Pesto when he drops it. And Keith took a bath with Emma? This was all hilarious and sweet and I can’t believe how sweet Wes is. Anxiety can be rough on Dogs, but you just have to learn how to make them comfortable and support them. My rescue dog pees when he's scared, and when he's happy. Once you know how to live with an anxious dog you really wouldn't give it up for the world because you know that whatever they went through before being 'rescued' is still affecting them in whatever ways and they just aren't like other dogs. And that's okay, because you're changing their lives with love and once a rescue is comfortable with you, and you've earnt their trust, it's forever. <3

That bath is so shallow, how is anyone meant to have a relaxing bath in it?? Totally impressed at how Emma calmed down in the bath, I thought it was going to be very stressful for her, but Keith did a great job calming her.

I love this! i could so tell that Keith is not a dog person. everything he did with Emma i thought was just not gonna work. My little chihuahua HATES water and he would have been clawed so much with her trying to get away from that bath. cuddles yes - water no. And i love that Bowie got to go on a hike and he really seemed to enjoy it. i would love it if Eugene borrows Bowie for his hikes now - i have a friend who does this to help out another friend b/c he hikes, the owner doesn't, and the dog loves it. I was surprised by how shy bean was. i really thought he would be more playful like Bowie is, but he seems to be a very dedicated one family loving dog. Mean as you saw it takes him time to warm up to you. I do also agree with Maggie that he could tell Zach's energy was he wasn't happy about having Bean so Bean wasn't happy about having Zach. and Pesto was the classic dog. Loves walks, but not over done. loves cuddles and people but friendly and not pushy. loves food an ddoesn't care if you say not. knows just enough tricks to be cute but not some all out superstar. he is the perfect average picture of what a dog should.

Did Keith really think that bathing with Emma would be relaxing for her? I mean, it was funny, and I was really watching like, what the heck is going to happen now, but I don't think baths are soothing, in general, for dogs.

As the owner of a chihuahua, and I'm guessing that's what Emma is, I was pretty worried about Keith bathing her. Chihuahuas can be very emotional and high strung - ours is an 8-year old male, and he's pretty chill about baths, but crazy anxious in the car. He does the same thing of sitting on the floor. Ours isn't a rescue, but I would imagine a chihuahua that was adopted later in life could be quite delicate emotionally. That said, they are wonderfully quirky little creatures <3

My sister loves hikes, so she'll take her dog and borrow mine for them if I'm not around. Eugene should probably do that with Bowie. Seems like it would work out great.

Ned with Pesto and the stick and leaf was hilarious 🤣 Bean not liking Zach at first and loving Maggie (classic) Keith having high expectations with Emma and being disappointed 😔 and Eugene being fun ‘Uncle Eugene’ and being loved right away by Bowie (expected). We should switch dogs. We have four! 2 are special needs. The golden doodle has hydrocephalus and wears a diaper all the time. The 2nd special one is a Shiba Inu with a club foot. The other two are a chiweenie and a mutt (which our groomer thinks may have coyote in him). Fun times at our farm.

Keith needs a chill cat. Also, please #adoptdontshop. Nothing against people who wants certain breeds of dogs, but there are so many doggos and kitties out there that get euthanized in the city pounds (this happens when PAWS and Anti-Cruelty Society and all non-kill shelters have no more space for any more that they can't save them). My coworker adopted a full cocker spaniel who was first was given back to PAWS because he was too "hyper" when he was a puppy and they regretted buying him from the breeder. An older gentleman who was living alone adopted him. Fast forward to a couple of years later, the older gentleman died and the cocker spaniel was back to PAWS again! This time was when my coworker fell in love with him and he finally has a mommy and daddy. You can get full-breed dogs at shelters if that's what you really want! And you save a life!
