Apprantley, according to Google/reddit they think that Laurel was 28 when she had steven and 30 when she had Belly going off how old Susannah was so Laurel wasn't to young??

part of the reason why laurel doesn’t want them to get married is because they are to dependent on each other. like belly doesn’t know how to be her own person without either of them. i’ve also realized that she’s such an awful person with jeremiah he brings out the worst in her
