During the 1859 Carrington Event a solar flare triggered massive auroras, power grid failures, and allowed telegraph machines to function without batteries for two hours.

In 1977 a TV station in southern England had its audio hijacked, broadcasting an ultimatum from the Ashtar Galactic Command.
Napoleon’s Great Rabbit Hunt
In July of 1807, Napoleon supposedly attended a rabbit hunt (poorly) organized by his chief of staff. But the rabbits were tame, hungry, unafraid of humans, and instead mobbed the hunters thinking they had food.
