Buddhism expanded across the world along with The Emerald Buddha and change with the cultures it reached.

What lead to South Asian nations like Afghanistan,Pakistan,and Bangladesh to become Buddhist then later on Muslim ?

Hold on, it's not like the U.S. is ENTIRELY innocent when it comes to pinching things off other countries. Also, in my immediate family's defence, we have Viking DNA mixed in with our Irish, which may explain why I feel the need to grab an axe every single time I see a Monastery. [by the way, on this date, George III declared certain elements of Britain's North American Colonies to be in a state of rebellion.]
