With the British on their heels, the Arabs revolting, and plague running through their ranks. Kléber will try to withdraw from Egypt and the directory will try to prosecute Napoleon for abandoning his post...but Napoleon has a plan.

It's weird thinking about how, years after he comes to power, European leaders time and time again convinced themselves that Napoleon was a reasonable man who could be bargained with and play a role in the Balance of Power -- when all they had to do was look to his record in Egypt and Haiti to get an idea of the kind of man he really was.

Maybe this is why the Supreme Chicken got fed up with Napoleon in the end; because he forgot to supply it with an adequate quantity of grain due to his huge ego?
