The thing about world history is ... there's a lot of it. We've been covering history from all corners of the world but there are still places that we haven't covered yet! So please throw us suggestions from places that we haven't had a series on yet!
Some notes about suggestions:
- If a suggestion we encounter only has enough research material/production scope for a one-off episode instead of a full series, we file it in a separate list to reference later when we are planning to schedule a one-off episode between series (this is true for every survey we do).
- Anything that happened or started before 1929 is fair game to suggest. We typically don't cover more recent events, unless we're working with sponsors who can provide more documentation about that historical topic.

A long time ago, when EC made the series on Christian Schisms, they said they wanted to make similar series about Islam and Buddhism to act as a primer for areas of the globe where they influenced politics. That might be a good thing to cover in an episode if they can.

I submitted the Antarctic Explorations. While everyone's familiar with Scott and Amundsen, there are more expeditions that were just as important from all over the globe.

I think the Indian subcontinent is the biggest missing piece since we've had topics from almost everywhere else but we've only just kinda sorta touched India with Ibn Bhatutta and a one of about Tippu Sultan. I suggested Chandragupta Maurya but I'd love to see more suggestions.

I would love to see a video about the Jacobite Rebellions and Bonnie Prince Charlie. You've had series in Britain before, but never Scotland to my knowledge.

Given that it's the second-largest country on Earth by population and has frequently played a leading role in history, India has been rather undeserved on Extra History. I really liked "The Anarchy" by William Dalrymple, so I suggested the collapse of the Mughals and the rise of the British East India Company, but there are a LOT of good topics in Indian history!

I agree, though the series on Khosrau probably disqualifies Iran from the "Filling in the Map" theme. I haven't read much about the Safavids. I mostly only know about their role in making Shia Islam the main religion in Iran and building Naqsh-e Jahan Square, a structure so beautiful that I made it my desktop background for a while.

I would also love to see a series about the Safavid Empire in Persia. I feel like they are often overlooked, and the Safavids really defined so much of modern Iran.

I went with the Tibetan Empire. Modern Tibet is fairly well-known, but its distant past, the introduction of Buddhism to the region, and the Bön religion are nowhere near as well-known. I think a series on the Tibetan Empire could really educate people about the region beyond the modern issues pertaining to it.

I would love to see a video on the Mexican Revolution, and I would also love to see a video on Shah Jahan and the Taj Mahal. Neither Mexico nor India have been covered in a lot of depth in Extra History.

Either the Mexican War of Independence or the Mexican Revolution. I live next to the border with the USA and Mexico and my parents are from Mexico and despite being a history major, I don't know much about either subject besides either the broad strokes or how they impacted the other great powers and I would love to learn more about the history of my ancestors.
