It is safe to delete the old client versions, as your saves are stored in a separate location.
It is not safe to load a character in an older version after you have already loaded in a newer version. This will cause a save corruption in some circumstances.
Mining Adjustments
We've made some adjustments to Mining in an effort to synchronise the level unlocks of the Ore with the Smithing requirement to Smelt the bars. Level requirements for Ores have been reduced.
Changes like this have cascading effects around the game. By lowering level requirements, we also lower XP and GP values to match the desired rates at that level.
Expect lots of changes like this during Alpha!
Changes for Ores:
Iron, Level 15->10, XP 11->10, GP 8->6
Mithril, Level 40->35, XP 25->22, GP 18->16
Adamantite, Level 55->45, XP 40->34, GP 25->22
Runite, Level 75->55, XP 64->50, GP 48->38
Dawnsteel, Level 85->70, XP 70->62, GP 59->37
Dragonite, Level 100->85, XP 91->93 (Was bugged), GP 135->97
We have also adjusted all the Shop purchases to match the new level requirements (tl;dr costs reduced):
Mithril Tools: Level 40->35, Bars 200->150, GP 150K->100K
Adamant Tools: Level 55->45, Bars 300->200, GP 500K->250K
Rune Tools: Level 70->55, Bars 500->350, GP 2M->500K
Dawnsteel Tools: Level 85->70, Bars 800->650, GP 5M->1.5M
Dragon Tools: Level 95->85, Bars 1200->1000, GP 10M->6M
