Patreon Update - April 2021
🕑 Added 2021-04-29 05:01:15 +0000 UTCHello everyone!
It's been a minute since my last Patreon Update. March was skipped mainly due to not much actually happening, and the April Fool's update was due the day after so I didn't see the need to provide a duplicate progress update.
However, we're now at the end of April so I've got some lovely progress news to update you all on.
As you probably already know, Summoning is the next Skill to be released, and is going to be included in the next Major Update.
Summoning is probably our most in-depth Skill to date, utilizing a lot of different layers of progression to give the Skill some personality. The mechanics of the Skill are unique to Melvor, and I personally believe everyone will love it! The Skill integrates with all other Skills in the game, and is done in a unique way (Kind of like Agility, but even more unique).
Training the Skill will also be different to other Skills in that there won't be 1 single way to level up.
The "Familiars", as we call them, also have some pretty decent bonuses and interactions for you to look out for. Summoning also comes with more Lore & World-building, having its own story attached to it to give it a place in the world of Melvor.
The theme for Summoning is "Discovery" - tasking a player to unlock the secrets of the Skill by diving into all other areas of the game, discovering the true powers of Summoning along the way.
There will be 20 different Familiars upon release, with roughly 90 unique interactions to unlock and discover.
A teaser will be released in the coming weeks, along with more information for you all when the Skill is nearing completion :)
I'd say roughly 90% of the Skill has finished development, with the last 10% consisting of initial balancing, mechanical adjustments, and play testing before loading up the Test Server.
Alongside Summoning, I want to include a bunch of new QoL, balance changes, requested features and a whole lot of bug fixes! I've already got a few done but I definitely want to add more before the Test Server goes live.
The Test Server will go live around mid-May at this stage, so keep a look out for that!
Thank you all so much for your continued support. We are SO CLOSE to v1.0 and I am incredible excited to share what else is going on behind the scenes soon! There's a lot happening right now, so I'll be sure to share when the time is right.
Until next time.

Excited! Thanks malcs! I recently tried to get a few buddy's into the game with chaos mode and one is now racing me to standard mode completion even! We both love the game and appreciate your hard work!
